June 27 South Africa (Fairview) form analysis

Race 1 (1,200m) (5) NORTH STAR was a heavily-backed debut winner. She was full of running that day. (2) READY continues to improve and was in a decent field when fourth last time. He is talented and will be right there at the finish once again. (1) ABOVE THE HORIZON has been consistent so far and got a win last time and is not out of it. (3) AIR BORN LADY has not done much wrong so far and will also be concerned with the finish. Race 2 (1,400m) (10) WILD FIG was not disgraced on debut. Jockey Richard Fourie sticks with him and he should enjoy the longer distance. Stable companion (12) OLIVE OYL has been consistent and was caught too far out of her ground last time. She should be right there at the finish. (1) ACTION AMERICA has not been disgraced in three starts and could contest the finish again. (6) PICK A POMODORO and (11) ATLANTIC PEARL are also capable of earning some money. Race 3 (2,000m) (1) GARDEN SUN has progressed of late and should make a bold bid at beating these rivals. (2) HENRY'S HEDGE was well beaten last time but that winner has won again and is decent so he can be a threat. (4) PARDON ME showed improvement last time and could have more to offer. (9) PRESERVE FOREVER showed improvement and can get into the thick of things again. Race 4 (1,600m) (1) BINGWA has returned to his very best. He was a good winner in his last two starts. He has every chance of completing a hat-trick. He is weighted to win. (3) FIREALLEY has been campaigning over further of late and could surprise over this shorter distance. (4) BUSH TRACKER has not won for some time but can earn some more money. (2) ZINOVI showed improvement last time and can do even better this time. Race 5 (1,600m) (10) WINTER EMERALDS has improved under the care of trainer Alan Greeff and has won two solid races of late. He can complete the hat-trick, but there are some tough rivals. (1) FINAL TRY was doing his best work late last time and can contest the finish. (2) ANATOLIAN SILVER has ability but may just need this run. (4) LANCIAFIAMME is improving and should have more to offer. Race 6 (1,600m) A very open-looking race and we may need to load up runners for the exotics. (10) POTENT CAPTAIN is in good form and could win. (9) FLOWER FESTIVAL, (8) FIRE ALARM, (12) LA VIDA LOCA and (13) ARLU are all capable of winning. Race 7 (1,000m) (1) KINGDUNDEE is a very good colt. He is at his best over this 1,000m and looks to be the right one. (2) CLIFF TOP broke a long losing run when winning on the Polytrack last time. He can contest the finish again. (3) ANUSCHKA'S WORLD is always capable of contesting the finish. (8) FOREST SPY has been good all year and has a place chance in this decent field. Race 8 (1,200m) (1) COASTAL PATH is not an easy horse to win with, but he is course-and-distance suited. He can go one better this time. (6) KING'S SAILOR and (7) LUCKY SPIRIT are both unreliable, but are also capable of earning more money. (10) RAVILIOUS is better than his run last week and can play a minor role. (13) KING RAHUL is in good form and it would not be surprising to see him win.

(7) MUNCHKIN and (11) SEATTLE RIPPER are all capable of getting involved with the finish. Race 5 (1,400m) (5) SHARAPOVA took a long time between her first and second wins. She was full of running when scoring over 1,300m last time and could follow up. (1) STRANGE MAGIC and (4) TREASURE HUNT are in good form and can get competitive again. (9) BOSNAY and (10) ARIVIDICIO are also capable of getting involved with the finish. Race 7 (1,900m) (9) KYOMAI ran well on local debut but this is a tougher race.
