The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is doing something no Galaxy Fold has done before

C. Scott Brown / Android Authority TL;DR The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 is apparently receiving more pre-orders than the Galaxy Z Flip 7 in Korea. This is reportedly the first time the Fold model has been more popular than the Flip device. Samsung's newest Fold offers a super-thin and light design, larger screens, and a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip. Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip series has traditionally been its most popular foldable phone, accounting for most pre-orders and sales over the years. However, it looks like things have tentatively changed in 2025. FNN News reports that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is receiving more pre-orders than the Galaxy Z Flip 7 in Korea. This is reportedly the first time the Fold model has been more popular than the Flip. More specifically, the Korean website reports that the Fold 7 accounted for 60% of preorders versus the Flip 7's 40%. By contrast, the Flip 6 reportedly accounted for 60% of pre-orders last year versus the Fold 6's 40%. Meanwhile, the Galaxy Z Flip 5 apparently accounted for 70% of preorders in the market versus the Fold 5's 30%. Analysts are reportedly forecasting that Galaxy Z7 series pre-orders could surpass the 1.02 million record set by the Galaxy Z5 series. Of course, it's worth noting that this forecast applies to the Korean market. Nevertheless, I'm keen to see whether the Galaxy Z Fold 7 can maintain this momentum throughout the year or if the Z Flip 7 will catch up after general sales. It's not a total surprise to hear that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is apparently performing well at this stage, though. The Z Fold 7 has a dramatically thin and light design compared to the Z Fold 6. In fact, it's the lightest book-style foldable phone on the market while also being among the thinnest models. So we can understand why many people may have decided to hop on the Fold bandwagon. Video of Justin Bieber discussing Combs trial is fake

"Justin Bieber could be called to testify in the Diddy trial. Here's what we know so far," says the caption of a May 8, 2025 post on TikTok. The video, which appears to show Bieber saying he's "absolutely gonna testify," has tens of thousands of reactions -- including one user who said: "Yes please stand up for yourself." Image Screenshot taken May 15, 2025 of a TikTok video It quickly spread across platforms, receiving thousands more engagements on X, Instagram and Facebook. In September 2024, Combs was charged in Manhattan federal court with sex trafficking and other offenses (archived here). The trial opened in May 2025 with explosive testimony from the music mogul's ex-girlfriend Casandra Ventura. As allegations surfaced in court, a web of conspiracy theories swirled online, threatening to shroud the facts surrounding the high-profile celebrity trial. Among them are unverified claims about Bieber, who was associated with Combs when he was a teenager. But say there has been no indication that Bieber will appear in court and reverse image searches reveal the clip has been altered from an April 29, 2022 interview the Canadian pop star gave to SiriusXM (archived here). In the nearly seven-minute interview, he sports the same red beanie and grey hoodie. A review of the transcript shows no mention of possible court testimony or Combs. Image Screenshot taken May 15, 2025 of the SiriusXM YouTube channel Further searches of the clip's visuals reveal the same footage was previously altered to fabricate purported endorsements of individuals and businesses. Careful observation of the clip spreading in 2025, shows asynchronization between Bieber's lips and supposed speech. The text overlaid on the video is placed close to his mouth, obscuring some of the manipulation. Other indications that the clip is fake come from the TikTok account that shared the video, FNN News. It says in its bio that it shares "BIG STORIES, FAKE NEWS UPDATES." Image Screenshot of the TikTok profile for FNN News taken May 15, 2025 AFP contacted representatives for Bieber regarding the trial, but no response was forthcoming. ment given to TMZ they said: "Although Justin is not among Sean Combs's victims, there are individuals who were genuinely harmed by him. Shifting focus away from this reality detracts from the justice these victims rightfully deserve." Read more of AFP's reporting on misinformation around Combs here.
