Alumni gift 6L upgrades to MSU civil engg dept
Vadodara: The civil engineering department of MS University's Faculty of Technology and Engineering received new facilities through donations in kind.
New facilities worth Rs 6 lakh were inaugurated at the department by MSU's in-charge vice-chancellor Dhanesh Patel on Saturday.
Patel inaugurated new equipment worth Rs 3.84 lakh that was installed in the hydraulics and water resources engineering laboratory. The equipment was donated by the 1996 batch of the department.
Two ACs worth Rs 1.10 lakh were installed in the computer laboratory through a donation from Ravi Kiran Vaidya, an alumnus of the 1991 batch. New window grilles were installed on 46 windows, worth Rs 1.03 lakh, by a donation from Dhirubhai C Patel of the 1975 batch, and the laboratory also now has a refrigerator through a donation from Magan Patel of the 1996 batch.
Patel, along with the head of the civil engineering department, Geeta Joshi, greeted and felicitated the donors.
