BioStar Participates in the Smart Energy Decisions Summer Forum

The clean energy transition isn't just driven by technology—it's powered by conversation, collaboration, and informed action. Last week, David Smart, CCO at BioStar Renewables and Jacob Feutz, VP of Renewables for Faith Technologies, attended the Smart Energy Decisions (SED) Summer Forum in Hollywood, Florida, where they joined peers and partners in deep-dive discussions about the future of energy strategy in the commercial and industrial space. The SED Summer Forum is known for fostering meaningful connections between energy buyers and solution providers. From curated one-on-one meetings to insightful panels and peer learning, the event offered a unique platform to explore evolving challenges and real-world solutions in energy efficiency, electrification, and sustainability leadership. 'We found the sessions to be highly relevant, the conversations incredibly productive, and the momentum toward clean energy stronger than ever.' As companies face increasing pressure to balance cost, compliance, and climate impact, opportunities like the SED Forum are essential. They provide a space to align goals, clarify strategies, and spark innovation. At BioStar, we are proud to be part of this forward-thinking community and remain committed to helping organizations design, finance, and deploy renewable energy solutions that deliver both environmental and economic returns. If your organization is navigating policy changes or exploring a clean energy strategy, we're here to help you understand your options and stay ahead of the curve. Faith Technologies to expand its Little Chute facility. Here's what to know

LITTLE CHUTE — Excellerate, a division of Faith Technologies Incorporated, is expanding its Little Chute facility. The company opened a new 385,000-square-foot building at 2125 W. Evergreen Drive in late 2023. In 2019, the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation said it would provide up to $800,000 in state income tax credits to Faith Technologies in support of its $20 million manufacturing facility on Evergreen Drive. It has served as the headquarters of the company's manufacturing division since it opened. Excellerate has 250 employees working on site, according to Cory Roesler, director of facilities with FTI. This new project is an extension of the existing facility which will ad more office space, Roesler said in an email. "We will focus on building Modular Electrical Buildings (MEBs), which are fully integrated electrical modules designed for the rapidly growing data center market. The facility will also support the continued growth of renewable energy technologies," he said. Construction of the 17,452-square-foot facility is planned for this year. The project will begin in May and is expected to be completed this year. Kaukauna-based builder and contractor Keller, Inc., was chosen to design and complete the project. Natural energy microgrids, made by Faith Technologies and Excellerate, allowed the facility to deploy more zero-emission electricity sources. This addition will leverage the solar panels that the company has tied into the facility, which offers 4.3 megawatts of power to offset energy use, according to Paul Keckhaver, director of manufacturing at Excellerate. Keller will add an interior stairwell and a penthouse to provide access to the solar panels on the existing facility, said the media release. The facility will remain operational during the construction. Faith Technologies is a Menasha-based electrical, engineering, and technology systems contractor. The Little Chute facility serves as the hub for product research and development in the areas of energy, microgrids, modular builds, e-houses, and specialty engineering.
