Fired WWE star sparks backlash after joining OnlyFans: 'You don't need to do this'

Former WWE superstar Beatrice Priestley has joined OnlyFans following her shock release from the sports entertainment giant. The 29-year-old, who wrestled under the ring name Blair Davenport at WWE, announced the news on Friday over Wrestlemania weekend in a post on X (formerly Twitter). She shared an image of herself in a plunging swimsuit, along with an OnlyFans logo and a promise of new merchandise. The post divided wrestling fans, with many stating that Priestley is too talented to resort to making content on the racy subscription-based website. 'Girl you would have accomplished a lot through your talent but you chose an easy way to make money... By moving to OnlyFans you can make money but you can't earn the respect that you would have gotten by your talent,' wrote one. 'Damn Bea, you're such a talented wrestler, you don't need to do this s**t... Get your money I guess,' added a second. However, a number of others threw their support behind Priestley. 'OnlyFans doesn't mean PORN, she could just be posting pics wearing underwear and she can make a GOOD profit out of it while she gets signed,' argued one. 'It's great what you're doing but I hope it doesn't mean your done with wrestling?' wrote another. A third added, 'I really don't think she was given a fair shot in WWE. They brought her from NXT, only to release her.' Priestley debuted under WWE's NXT brand in 2021, before finally being upgraded to WWE's main roster last year, where she wrestled on the Smackdown brand. Unfortunately, she only had a handful of matches on Smackdown before being released from her contract in February. Priestley isn't the only former WWE star to turn to OnlyFans after leaving the company. In 2022, Amanda Saccomanno aka Mandy Rose made a staggering $500,000 in just one week on the website FanTime, which is an alternative to OnlyFans. Mandy, who was the NXT Women's Champion at the time of her firing, was booted from WWE after wrestling bosses determined that content shared to her FanTime account had crossed the line. While employees are permitted to have FanTime accounts, the content is still expected to be tasteful due to the WWE's young audience. According to Fightful, the WWE felt that the material Mandy had been posting was 'outside of the parameters' of what was in her contract. The publicity around her firing led to an influx of traffic to Mandy's FanTime page, which is how she was able to take in half a million dollars in just a week. The athletic beauty has since switched over to OnlyFans, where she's continued to make a killing. 'I wake up when I want, do what I want, and I don't have to take bumps or be on the road for 300-plus days, and I make basically 10-times the amount of money that I made in WWE in one year. Like, that's crazy,' she said on her podcast. Former WWE star Steph De Lander, best known by her stage name Persia Pirotta, also launched an OnlyFans account in 2022 after getting fired from the show. The Australian star debuted on the independent wrestling circuit in 2017 under the stage name FaceBrooke, before joining WWE in 2021 as Persia Pirotta. Kiwi-born wrestler Toni Storm, best known for her stints at WWE and AEW, previously revealed that she had raked in more than $30,000 during her first week on OnlyFans.

Mandy Rose Questions WWE Return: ‘I Don't Know'

Photo Credit: WWE Former WWE NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose recently discussed the possibility of returning to the promotion. In 2022, Rose dominated WWE NXT, enjoying one of the best runs of her career as she held the NXT Women's Championship for 413 days. However, in December of that year, she lost the title to Roxanne Perez on WWE NXT. The next day, WWE released her, reportedly due to her FanTime content, shocking fans. Now, after spending over two years away, Rose has addressed a potential comeback. However, she doubts whether WWE would accept her, feeling as though the promotion has erased her from its history. Advertisement Stephanie Vaquer won the NXT Women's Championship by defeating Giulia, making her a double champion. After her win, WWE called her the first woman to hold two titles in NXT. However, fans pointed out that Rose had already done this by unifying the NXT and NXT UK Women's Championships. Rose reacted by challenging WWE's claim. In an interview on Busted Open Radio, Mandy Rose addressed whether it surprised her that she is no longer referenced on WWE TV. She stated: 'It does. I really don't know what it was. Circumstantial, and there have been a lot of people in the company where things happen and time goes on and they come back. It's a business, at the end of the day, and they look at it like a business. I have no idea what it is. I thought maybe I'd be back too, wrestling in general. The cards right now for me, I'm doing really well, and does it make sense for me to go back to wrestling? I don't know, and that's something I'm still unsure about. I've never hung up the boots and said I'm done. I'm still young. If it made sense, I would definitely consider it.' Mandy Rose expresses her feeling about WWE return In the same interview, Mandy Rose discussed the possibility of appearing in the Women's Royal Rumble match. She admitted she's unsure if WWE would welcome her back. She stated: Advertisement 'I don't know if they would accept me back. I don't know how they feel. I've never had a conversation. Are they really offended with what happened? I don't know. Maybe they just don't want to be associated with me anymore, in a sense, because I feel like I'm a little bit erased in certain scenarios. NXT did mention me not too long ago. It was a promo package and they were talking about the women in general evolving, which was cool. That gave me a little glimmer of hope, 'Oh, I got a little recognition there.' I feel like I am a little erased from their Rolodex of superstars. I could be wrong.' [H/T: Fightful] With Rose open to the possibility of a return if the right opportunity arises, it will be interesting to see if WWE is willing to bring her back. Only time will tell.
