McDonald's is bringing back its ‘best burger by far' in new menu launching in DAYS – but there's a catch

MCDONALD'S fans can enjoy tasty new menu items in a matter of days. From a brand new McFlurry flavour to a burger that has been dubbed the chain's "best by far", customers are in for a treat. 5 Beginning Wednesday, July 30, McDonald's will be offering a range of new and returning menu items for a limited time. Fast food fans will want to act fast as these new items are only available for a six week period. Returning favourites include the Big Tasty and Big Tasty with Bacon, which have proved incredibly popular during their rare menu appearances in the past. The burgers, which were last available in 2024, both feature a beef patty, Emmental cheese, onions, tomatoes, and a smoky sauce, served in a toasted sesame bun. Customers can also opt for to add some extra bacon to their Big Tasty. Lucky locations However, there is a twist as the Big Tasty range will only be a regional exclusive in East Anglia. Similarly, Tyne & Tees locations will also get a special treat as the Steakhouse Stack joins the line up in participating restaurants. But don't worry if you're not able to make the trek because the chain will have some exciting buys available throughout its other locations. The highly anticipated Jaffa Cakes McFlurry will be available for the first time ever. It will see the classic whipped vanilla base swirled with chocolate covered shortcake pieces and an orange sauce to replicate the famous flavour. As well as the new dessert, the menu upgrade includes two "unmissable" new drinks. McDonald's will shake up its drinks menu with an exciting way to customise your Sprite Zero drink. Customers will be able to add a pump of fruity syrup to their beverage for the first time ever. You can choose between the Green Apple and Mango & Passionfruit flavours. And another fan favourite will also return to McDonald's menus: the Chicken Big Mac. But there's another twist, this item will be available across the nation except for McDonald's restaurants located in East Anglia and Tyne & Tees. The chicken version of the classic, featuring two patties, a slice of cheese, pickles, lettuce, and Big Mac sauce, will be back for a limited time. However everyone in the UK will be able to enjoy a variety of other returning fan-favourites. This includes Spicy Chicken McNuggets served with a Spicy Chilli Dip and the Fajita Chicken One, which is a wrap made with creamy fajita sauce, tomato salsa, onions, cheese ,and lettuce with either crispy or grilled chicken. Customers can also snack on some Chilli Cheese Bites or satisfy their sweet tooth with the Milky Way McFlurry, which contains milk chocolate stars, malt flavoured pieces, and a chocolate sauce. But it's not all happy news, the new introductions mean we have to say goodbye to some of the current favourites. The Chicken Katsu Wrap, Halloumi Fries, Toffee Apple Pie, Toffee Crisp McFlurry, and Cheesy McCrispy will all be axed from the menu. Axed items The new items being introduced mean we have to say goodbye to some of the current ones.
