Fate App Launch: AI Ends Endless Swiping in Manchester
Rakesh Naidu, CEO & Founder at Fate 'After two years in the making, we launched our beta in London last month. Since then, not apenny has gone into paid advertising. Every single user has come to Fate through pure word of mouth or Fate itself. The past month has been relentless. Our team grew from 13 to over Every day, we sharpened the app, clarified our messaging, and tuned every detail live inthe market, from matching to user flow. We built on real conversations and real feedback. Now, we move from beta to full production. The technology behind Fate is designed with the same intelligence that powers the world'sbest consumer products. Netflix doesn't ask what you want to watch. It studies what youactually choose, what you binge, what you pause or abandon. Spotify listens to your habitsand evolves with every play. Amazon anticipates your next need before you even type it brings this level of intuition to human connection. Our agentic AI understands thesubtleties of your voice, your pace, your style. Every interaction makes the next match more precise, more relevant, more interesting. You only ever see six curated matches at a time. Each is handpicked, reflecting hundreds oflive signals from the way you engage. There's no endless scroll, no time wasted flicking through faces. This system rewards your attention and your intent. Other apps haven't built this kind of system, not because the technology doesn't exist, butbecause it threatens their business model. If you help users find what they actually wantfaster, your LTV drops. Most dating apps need users to stay single and addicted to theprocess. We are not interested in that. We will take the risk. If Fate is good enough, we aremore than happy to sacrifice LTV in exchange for the kind of word of mouth that only comesfrom delivering real connections. Which is why we are a connections app, not a dating app, dating without connecting is meaningless. My confidence comes from selling more than £10million in AI solutions to multiple multi-billion-pound revenue firms. We want Fate to be the product that finally replaces chance with real connection that feels like Fate. Fate Calls is at the centre of the experience. Every day, you enter a ten-minute, faceless,profile-free voice conversation with a stranger who sits outside your current six. If thechemistry is there, you can reveal each others' profiles but only by swapping one of yourexisting 6 matches out first. If you picked someone and sacrificed and existing match in the process but were not selected in return – you lose both matches. Our Insights engine shows you exactly how others experience you. No empty praise, noguesswork. You see where you spark interest, where you lose people, and what keeps conversations alive. If you want to grow, you have all the information to get better The Joker Card is your single daily opportunity to place yourself directly into any curated pool. No resets or repeats. You get one move, and it counts. We go live at BLVD on 15 August. Tickets are on sale now at Fate is ready, active, and learning every day. The Sandman – Season 2 Episode 10 'Long Live The King' Recap & Review
Episode 10 Episode 10 of The Sandman Season 2 begins with Lyta killing Able. She seems to come back to herself when the sword leaves her hand. The Fates push her to pick it up and she's a puppet once more. The next targets are Mervyn and Matthew. Merv shoots at the four women with a gun but the bullets ricochet and kill him. Corinthian, Daniel, Cain and Lucienne hide in the throne room and Matthew barely makes it back to them. Morpheus is still stuck in Faerie and Titania offers him sanctuary. But Nuala uses her boon to make him go back to his realm. He returns just in time to save his palace gatekeepers. He invites the ladies in and reunites Lyta with Daniel. The Fates freeze her and claim he's not human anymore. Morpheus temporarily frees Lyta from their influence but she's still stuck in the Dreaming. The desperate Fates insist that she has pretty much lost her son and needs to avenge him. And it seems that without Lyta, the Fates have to back down till the next person petitions for his death. Morpheus rushes the Waking World to kill Lyta but finds Hettie protecting her. She has a deal – she meddles for the Fate and they keep her alive. She argues that Morpheus is not a murderer and Daniel won't co-operate if his mother has been killed. Morpheus realises that she is right. In Faerie, Nuala wants to go to the Dreaming and begs Cluracan to remove her glamour. He doesn't want her to die as he has no one. However, he acquiesces and they have a bittersweet farewell. On Earth, Goldie and Delirium attract attention as they search for Barnabas. She turns Goldie into a balloon and believes it's a strong disguise. Back in the Dreaming, Morpheus tells his subjects that he's going to the Furthest edge of the Dreaming to do what must be done. They realise that this is the end and they have a tearful parting. But Matthew sticks by him even though he may not make it either. He calls the ladies and it starts raining as they arrive. Daniel, Lucienne, Cain and Corinthian hide in the throne room and try to check on Morpheus. Death shows up and decides to wait with them. As for Morpheus' plan, he's had enough of the women hurting his subjects and destroying his realm. He offers to fight them head on. The Fates simply taunt him as Lyta wreaks havoc on the realm which weakens Morpheus. Realising that there's no other way, he sends Matthew to bring Death. Meanwhile, Titania gives Nuala a sword and encourages her to go to Morpheus' side, convinced that the fae only has the Dream King's best interest at heart. Death arrives at the Edge and wonders why Morpheus has given up. He reveals that not only does he want to pay for his son's murder, the Dreaming is also his cage. He cannot abandon his responsibilities even though he wants to. Before he can take Death's hand, Nuala arrives and removes Lyta from the Dreaming. A light glows between Death and Morpheus' hands. Goldie disappears. Hettie has been taking care of Barnabas and they find Delirium. Hettie apologises for Delirium's loss and Barnabas is curious. Delirium reveals that she cannot feel Morpheus anymore. Hettie goes home to find Lyta who wants Daniel back. However, Hettie claims that Lyta has lost her chance – Daniel can never be hers now that she has destroyed Morpheus. In the Dreaming, the realm repairs itself. The subjects wonder whose doing it is and we see a grown-up Daniel (cameo by Jacob Anderson) who is the new Dream. The Episode Review The penultimate episode is a bit of a mixed bag, much like the rest of Volume 2. It ends up dragging its runtime as the episode constantly flits between Lyta wreaking havoc, the Fates taunting Morpheus, Morpheus repeating his same goodbye speech and everyone constantly commenting on how he has changed. Yes, we get it, he's become a good being, compassionate with a moral compass. It's been hammered in since Season 1. Instead, The Sandman Season 2 Episode 10 could have had a crisper version of Morpheus vs the Fates and then explored some of the mini stories. The Faes are quite underutilised with the way they scheme but are also sincere as seen with Puck, Cluracan and even Queen Titania. Delirium's quest literally just had 2 short scenes while the rest of the supporting Endless like Desire don't even show their face. There's so much potential and it's quite disappointing that the Netflix adaptation got greedy and chose to cram as much as they could of the source material instead of focusing on good story-telling.
