M&S' 'perfect' £25 crossbody bag looks 'just like' £630 designer version

Marks and Spencer's bag looks very similar to a designer version - without the hefty price tag Marks and Spencer is selling a crossbody bag that bears a striking resemblance to a designer version. The retailer is well known for its fashion ranges and there may be a new favourite in stock now. The M&S Faux Leather Sling Cross-Body Bag, priced at £25, looks similar to one by designer brand TOTEME - but for a fraction of the cost. The bag is currently only available in chocolate. Marks and Spencer also stocks the £55 Straw Shoulder Bag, and the Faux Leather Woven Shoulder Strap for £45. The retailer also has the Faux Leather Woven Clutch Bag for £35. Alternatively, shoppers looking for a different style could opt for the Next Bone Leather Fringe Cross-Body Bag, priced at £35. New Look also has the Bright Red Quilted Faux Leather Mini Crossbody Bag for £21.99, while River Island stocks the £36 Cream Metal Handle Quilted Tote. M&S' Faux Leather Sling Cross-Body Bag looks similar to the designer version, with matching asymmetrical shape, crossbody strap and suede-look finish. They both also feature a zip closure and gold-tone hardware. However, there are some differences between the two. The M&S version has a slightly thicker strap, and the designer version is made with real leather and suede, while M&S' is not. The Marks and Spencer bag has proven popular online, with many shoppers praising it in their reviews. One person said: "Lovely bag. Great bag. It's very good quality and will go with so many outfits." A second wrote: "Perfect bag! Great bag, fits so much, easy to wear, great colour." A third shopper added: " Quality bag. Excellent bag for wandering round on holiday. Held all I needed. Excellent quality. Looks like leather." However, some shoppers did mention some issues they'd had with the product. One person said: "This bag does look good, but it feels cheap. The faux suede material is very lightweight and just doesn't feel very nice. A return from me." A second wrote: "Nice shape bag which can hold a fair amount keys glasses etc but feels cheap. Kept as I loved the unusual shape." Despite this, many continued to praise the M&S bag. One shopper said: "Love this bag. Looks great and easy to wear. Nice and compact but still big enough to carry a decent amount and also has a handy zipped inner pocket." Another added: "Perfect crossbody bag! Really lovely crossbody bag, fits just the right amount in. Really lovely material feel and comfortable to have around the neck." While the M&S Faux Leather Sling Cross-Body Bag is priced at £25, the TOTEME Suede Shoulder Bag comes in at £630 online. This means shoppers could save around £605 by opting for the cheaper alternative.

Five places for Wrexham AFC fans to visit out in Sydney

Joe Faux, a summer addition made by the Silkmen - managed by former Reds' player Lee Fowler - is a Sydneysider and he has provided supporters Down Under with his list of five places to visit while in the city. Wrexham opened their pre-season tour with a match against Melbourne Victory on Saturday and they will next come up against Sydney FC on Tuesday. Reds' fans in Sydney looking for something to do during the build-up to the game have plenty of things they can do! Faux said: "I would definitely go to Circular Quay and walk around the opera house and harbour bridge. "You can do a ferry from there as well under the bridge or around to Manly, which is another nice area in the north shore." Continuing his tour, Faux said: "I would do the coastal walk from Coogee to Bondi and stop at each beach along there for a swim or to eat or drink, or whatever you feel like." Stop three on Faux's tour of his home city is somewhere for people to get a sense of Sydney. "Go to the Queen Victoria Building (QVB) in the middle of the city to shop or walk around and get a sense of the city." Fans are well covered when it comes to bar and restaurants too. "Darling Harbour and Barangaroo is also a nice spot. Lot of good bars and restaurants there for a night out and it's a nice walk. They have a zoo and aquarium there as well," added Faux. Concluding the tips, he added: "Last one is the botanic gardens, right next to the opera house. "Get great views from the harbour and again, it's a nice park to walk, few little animals and greenery in there as well." Faux, whose parents are going to the game to support the home club on Tuesday, also played locally for Cefn Druids and Connah's Quay Nomads. The 28-year-old tricky wide player started out with Bolton Wanderers U23s and he first entered the Welsh system in the summer of 2019.

Flint bolster their ranks with the acquisition of Faux

Faux, who has also played locally for Cefn Druids and Connah's Quay Nomads, is team boss Lee Fowler's third signing of the summer and he spent last season at Caernarfon Town. The 28-year-old tricky wide player started out with Bolton Wanderers U23s and he first entered the Welsh system in the summer of 2019. Fowler told the club's website: 'Joe is a player I've chased for a couple of years, same as Jack Thorn really. 'He has been hampered with injury in the last couple of seasons and then finding others doing well in his role, so he has had a bit of a stop-start time of it, and has stagnated a bit. 'So, hopefully, this is a fresh start for him. When he's come up against us in the past, he has always been bright and lively, and given us problems. 'I'm not sure if it's because he has done really well or that our full backs have been awful, we'll soon find out!! 'Seriously, he will add quality on the pitch and also off it with his personality, and I'm sure he will be a real popular figure in and around the club.' Mold Alex opened their series of pre-season friendlies with a 1-0 triumph versus Prestatyn Town. A first half strike from Aidan Farren sealed the win for Barry Owen's side, who are back in action this evening at home to St Asaph City. In further friendly action this evening, FC Queens Park play host to Rhos Aelwyd, while Rhostyllen make the trip to Prestatyn Town. Llangollen Town are on tour to the Republic of Ireland as they begin their pre-season programme tomorrow. They are off to Bray to take on Boghall Rovers. Holywell Town will open their preparations for the new Cymru North season when they welcome Llangefni Town tomorrow. Tomorrow's other friendlies: Caersws v Penycae; Connah's Quay Tn v Broughton Utd; Rhuddlan Tn v Greenfield.

Even Kylie Jenner's daughter sported one when she was just learning to walk. However, at £11,000 a-piece, Birkins are not exactly a go-to buy for most people. But now you can pick up a similar style handbag at a much much cheaper price, and it is available in two colours. Fashion brand Tu have announced the re-launch a popular handbag style. The belted bag is will soon returned to UK shelves, reimagining the classic silhouette with sculptural lines. And this stylish and chic buy will only set you back £20, making it ideal for everyday use. In fact, the timeless design means it can be worn "season after season". Tu's Belted Bag is due to launch in late July and will be available from a variety of platforms. You will be able to order it online from as well as from I get stopped in the street by people asking where my perfume's from - it's a dupe of a designer scent & saves me £135 And most excitingly, it will also be stocked in select Sainsbury's stores. If black is not your colour and you're after something else, the supermarket is also adding a new Neutral Faux Leather Tote Bag in a classic cream shade. Priced at a wallet-friendly £20, this bag is sure to become a major hit - and you certainly don't want to miss out on it. Made of a faux leather material, the chic purse has a handle, adjustable strap, as well as multiple compartments for you to store away your daily essentials. One thrifty fashionista wrote: ''Really nice handbag for the price, nice large size but light in weight. ''Can use with handles or strap. Love it, beige or black. Nice every day bag.'' Someone else chimed in with their review, writing: ''For the price I had my money's worth and I will buy more as a back up. Great cheap bag for work.'' Tu clothing items are available in over 400 Sainsbury's locations across the UK. Birkin Bags remain highly sought after by celebrities and collectors due to its craftmanship. While a Birkin's exclusivity and rarity make it a hot commodity the style is actually quite relaxed. The classic Birkin silhouette is constructed in Hermès' signature retourne style. Why you should always buy a dupe over designer... Fashion Editor Clemmie Fieldsend says it's time fashion snobs stopped looking down their noses at affordable versions of designer buys. Bargain US supermarket Walmart became a social media sensation when its £60 dupe of Hermès' Birkin bag, dubbed the Wirkin, went viral. Influencer @styledbykristi gushed: "Eighty dollars (£60), you can pretend that you got a Birkin. I mean, everyone will probably know it's not, because who the hell has the money to spend on the real Birkin? Not me.' Me neither. And why bother? I would never spend that on a designer bag (although if someone wants to buy one for me, that's a different story). Plus, if I splashed that much, I'd feel I was being ripped off... We've all been told how the leading brands use the finest leather, thread, dyes and craftsmanship in the world. But all that is inflated by fashion houses to create the desired illusion of exclusivity. Just last year, Dior came under investigation for paying £44 to assemble a bag that sells for £2,000. So while you might think you are paying for top-level craftsmanship carried out by a true artisan, chances are the poorly paid workers are not seeing any of your hard-earned cash. Dupes — not to be mistaken for knock-offs that copy everything from the logo to the inside label — are a more practical and all-round sensible way to go. I bought my first when I was 18. It lasted me four years and only broke after I wore it in the shower. And these days, British high streets have plenty of dupes. In the past three years, Marks & Spencer, H&M and Mango have all seen huge spikes in sales thanks to their canny copies. They use the same viral, must-have marketing tactics that pricey brands have. Fashion folk will tell you that you are making an investment and buying a 'heritage piece' and will turn their noses up at a high street equivalent. But we've been wearing looks inspired by catwalk designers for decades. If we can buy a bag that's the spitting image of the pricier version, but doesn't mean you have to remortgage, why not? This means the bag is stitched inside out and then reversed, giving the piece a less structured and more relaxed shape M&S previously stocked a dupe for a Birkin bag that was over £10,000 cheaper than the original. Meanwhile, New Look has a dupe of the iconic Bottega buy, but £8,400 cheaper. And BooHoo recently slashed the price of a Molly-Mae bag dupe. 5 Olivia Attwood is also a fan of the iconic Birkin bag Credit: Instaggram / @olivia_attwood
