3 highways, 15 main roads to close for Asean meet in KL

PETALING JAYA : Three highways and 15 main roads in the Klang Valley will be closed in stages for the Asean foreign ministers' meeting, to be held on July 8-11 in Kuala Lumpur city centre.
Federal traffic police said the roads affected are mainly those from KLIA to Kuala Lumpur, and city roads leading to Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and to the hotels where the delegations will stay.
A dry run will be held from today to Sunday, while the actual closures will take place on July 8-12.
The three affected highways are the Maju expressway, KLIA-Putrajaya on the central link of the North-South expressway (Elite highway), and Sungai Besi-KL on the KL-Seremban highway.
The 15 main roads are: Lebuh KLIA; Lingkaran Putrajaya; Jalan Istana; Jalan Damansara; Jalan Tun Abdul Razak; Jalan Ampang; Jalan Sultan Ismail; Jalan Bukit Bintang; Jalan Imbi; Persimpangan Jalan Ampang/Jalan P Ramlee; Persimpangan Jalan Sultan Ismail/Jalan P Ramlee; Persimpangan Jalan Perak/Jalan P Ramlee; Persimpangan Jalan Perak/Jalan Pinang; Persimpangan Jalan Stonor/Jalan Kia Peng; Persimpangan Jalan Stonor/Persiaran KLCC.
