A search warrant was executed with cops attending two addresses in a bid to further the investigation. One onlooker said: "It was complete chaos down here today. "The police came rushing into the street before marching to a nearby house." Detectives are urging anyone with information to contact the non-emergency 101 number. A Police Scotland spokesperson said: 'Around 1.40pm on Sunday, 20 July, officers executed a warrant at a property in the Main Street area of Lochgelly after an injured man attended at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy. 'The 30-year-old man had sustained a serious injury and was transferred to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh on Saturday, 19 July, for further treatment. The incident is being treated as attempted murder. 'Police also attended Buller Street in connection with the incident. 'No one has been arrested and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.' Elsewhere, three women have been charged under terror laws after a van crashed into a security fence at a defence firm. It's understood the driver may have taken a wrong turn at a nearby slip road but continued on, posing a serious risk of a head-on collision on the busy trunk road connecting Perth and Inverness. Social media users have since slammed the dangerous manoeuvre. One wrote: 'Where do these idiots get their licences from?' Another commented: 'You would think they'd have the sense to immediately turn around rather than risk a head-on collision that could wipe out a family - maybe even themselves. "It doesn't bear thinking about the carnage if a couple of bikers, blood delivery riders, or emergency vehicles had been coming the other way. "I've driven that stretch hundreds of times in lorries, vans and cars - this is a wake-up call for every driver, every car hire firm, every parent who wants their kids to stay alive. "Thank the Lord no one was hurt this time.' A third added: 'Scary to think this wouldn't have happened before dualling. "There needs to be a process to review signage at junctions - not to mention clearing overgrown bushes that obscure direction and speed limit signs. Terrifying moment car dangles precariously over sheer cliff drop sparking frantic mission to save occupants inside "There's not much hope otherwise.' A fourth said: 'OMG, I hope they got stopped. In the footage, a bald man wearing shades can be seen holding another man in a headlock beside a dark coloured BMW car. A woman stands beside the pair and appears to be helping restrain him. As the commotion ensues, another man walks over to them. But moments later, the ginger-haired man, dressed in a hooded top and tracksuit bottoms, bursts free from the headlock. He then begins shouting at the woman, who gestures at him and argues back. The second man, wearing a cap and tracksuit bottoms, stands between them as he tries to defuse the standoff. Police Scotland said they were not alerted to the heated dispute. Elsewhere, a suspect has been arrested after a man died in an Ayrshire street. Paul Wright was found unresponsive in Orchard Street in Kilmarnock on April 22. Hundreds step out for women's Orange Walk through Glasgow Despite efforts to save him, the 56-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
