After Pushpa 2's success, three major films locked in December 5 as release date. Eyeing successful opening, Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar, Prabhas' The Raja Saab and Shahid Kapoor's Sajid Nadiadwala will hit the silver screen on this prime date. Film Trade analyst Taran Adarsh in post on X pointed to this major clash and wrote, 'PRABHAS VS RANVEER SINGH VS SHAHID KAPOOR: THREE-WAY CLASH ON 5 DECEMBER 2025… Three major films have locked 5 December 2025 as their release date.' The selection of this release date is special as "The *first Friday* of December has gained prominence in recent years, with #Animal and #SamBahadur [1 Dec 2023], followed by #Pushpa2 [5 Dec 2024], emerging as major successes," Taran Adarsh added. Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna's movie 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' is made history and scripted records with its exceptional box office performance. The second instalment in the Pushpa film series recorded highest opening day in Hindi. The Tollywood action drama became the highest-grossing film in India and the fastest Indian film to cross ₹ 1000 crores worldwide in 6 days. The release date and first look of Ranveer Singh's upcoming film Dhurandhar was unveiled recently. Aditya Dhar directorial action drama features powerful ensemble cast, including Sara Arjun, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan and Arjun Rampal. Presented by Jio Studios and produced by B62 Studios production, the film is rooted in real-life events. Tollywood's romantic horror comedy will feature Sanjay Dutt, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan and Riddhi Kumar, alongside lead actor Prabhas. Directed by Maruthi, the film is backed by People Media Factory and IVY Entertainment. Shahid Kapoor will be starring in Sajid Nadiadwala-Vishal Bhardwaj untitled film. Produved under the banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, the big-screen entertainer will feature Tripti Dimri, Nana Patekar and Randeep Hooda.

Regaining steady ground amid new movie releases, Sunny Deol starrer minted ₹ 1.36 crore net in India on Day 17, April 26, as per industry tracker Sacnilk. This brings domestic business total for Gopichand Malineni directorial movie to ₹ 82.96 crore net. Bollywood's action-thriller registered an overall 13.27% occupancy on Saturday among the Hindi audience. Notably, Akshay Kumar's courtroom drama 'Kesari Chapter 2' was released in theatres on Friday, April 18, this was when Jaat recorded lowest revenue during its entire theatrical run. Sacnilk reported that 16-day collection of Jaat stands at ₹ 110 crore gross, including overseas gross of ₹ 13.70 crore. Meanwhile, the filmmakers in a post on Instagram stated, '#JAAT collects 110.86 CRORES GROSS WORLDWIDE in 2 weeks.' Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Zee Studio, and People Media Factory, the movie released on April 10 did a business of ₹ 9.5 crore net in India on its opening day. It raked in ₹ 61.65 crore during its first week in theatres and another ₹ 19.1 crore net in second week. Alongside lead actor, it features Randeep Hooda, Regina Cassandra, Saiyami Kher, Jagapathi Babu, Ramya Krishnan, Vineet Kumar Singh, Prashant Bajaj, Zarina Wahab, P Ravi Shankar and Babloo Prithiveeraj in key roles. The sequel 'Jaat 2' is in the pipeline as Sunny Deol recently announced that he will reprise his role as Baldev Pratap Singh. Sunny said, 'You have given me so much love for my film Jaat.
