Donald Trump kisses Melania at July 4th party
President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump were caught kissing from the Truman Balcony on Friday ahead of Washington, D.C.'s grand Fourth of July fireworks display. The first couple kissed and hugged as supporters down below 'awww'-ed the scene. Trump hosted military families on the South Lawn for the occasion, marking the holiday with a picnic. Earlier in the night, he delivered a speech from the balcony before signing his 'Big Beautiful Bill' into law, as Congress made good on a promise to pass the mega piece of legislation before the Trump-imposed July 4 deadline. There were also a trio of military flyovers, including B-2 bombers, the stealth jets used in recent military action over Iran. The Trumps had slipped into the West Wing but returned to watch the annual fireworks display over the National Mall. The DJ played patriotic tunes — but also a number of eyebrow-raising pop songs from artists like Katy Perry and Lady Gaga, who vocally supported Trump's Democratic rivals Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Kamala Harris. Perry's song "Firework" was played. Other tracks included HOT TO GO! by Chappell Roan and Defying Gravity, sung by Cynthia Erivo in Wicked — both popular LGBTQ artists. A number of country hits were also in the mix. Audience members shouted 'four more years' and 'eight more years.' Trump is three and a half years into his second term and is Constitutionally ineligible to run again — despite some Republicans backing an amendment to allow it, citing his unique situation of serving two non-consecutive terms. His walk-on song, Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA," was played multiple times during the event. As the fireworks ended, YMCA played — Trump's traditional walk-off tune. He did his trademark dance and even got Melania to briefly join in, though neither performed the YMCA letter moves. The crowd included Cabinet members and Trump officials such as Joint Chiefs Chair Dan 'Razin' Caine, Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem, Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Interior Secretary Doug Burgum, and EPA Secretary Lee Zeldin. White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt was photographed holding up the 'Big, Beautiful Bill' after Trump's signing. Wiles was seen in conversation with Katie Miller, wife of top adviser Stephen Miller, who worked for VP Mike Pence in the previous administration and has been working with Elon Musk in this one. After weeks of tension over the bill, Musk is now threatening to start a political party and support Republicans like Rep. Thomas Massie. Trump and Melania departed for their Bedminster, New Jersey golf resort after the celebration, with the president pumping his fist as they boarded Air Force One.

Band Touched to host festival-like concert in August
Immersive festival-style event 'Attraction' to offer fans powerful live performances and interactive experiences Rising Korean band Touched is set to hold a special solo concert this August. "Attraction" will take place on Aug. 23 and 24 at Hall 10 of Kintex Exhibition Center 2 in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. This will mark Touched's largest solo concert since the band's debut in 2021, promising a large-scale concert with a wide array of interactive content to connect more deeply with fans. "Attraction" combines Touched's signature intense live performances and dynamic stage production with experiential zones that invite audience participation. Unlike conventional concerts that center on the main performance, the upcoming concert will include a content zone and F&B booths, creating a music festival-like atmosphere for a richer fan experience. 'This show will not only deliver emotional moments on stage but also offer exciting content off stage that allows fans to interact and enjoy the Touched experience to the fullest,' said an official from MPMG Music, the band's agency. Formed in 2021, Touched rose to prominence after winning Mnet's band audition program "Great Seoul Invasion" in 2022. Since then, it has held solo concerts such as "Highlight III," "Fireworks" and "Remnant," all of which sold out. Before the concert announcement, the band took the stage as a headliner at Korea's renowned music festival Beautiful Mint Life for the first time on June 13. The band will continue with a packed schedule for the second half of the year. Touched is slated to perform at the SBS "Gayo Daejeon – Summer Unipop" in July, the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival in August, Lovechips Festival in September and the Busan International Rock Festival in October.

The City of St. Augustine is making changes ahead of its 'Fireworks Over the Matanzas' event.
In response to the record-breaking 2024-2025 Nights of Lights season and community feedback, the City of St. Augustine is making changes to its Fireworks Over the Matanzas operations as a test run for proposed operational changes for the upcoming Nights of Lights season. The following changes will be made on Friday, July 4, 2025: There will be an additional 134 public portable toilets placed in the parking lot at the corner of St. George Street and Cathedral Place, and 20 portable public toilets added near the Visitor Information Center. View the map here. Pedestrian barriers will be installed along Cathedral Place on the north side of the Plaza de la Constitución as a barricade, preventing pedestrians from crossing Cathedral Place in the middle of the block. Pedestrians must cross at the intersection of Cathedral Place at St. George Street and Charlotte Street. It is important to note that Cathedral Place will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at 4:00 pm, between Avenida Menendez and Cordova Street. Barricades will be placed at critical intersections in the historic downtown area to block vehicular access. Public Safety Assistance and St. Augustine Police officers will be stationed at critical intersections to direct pedestrian and vehicular traffic. The American Red Cross will be stationed at the intersection of Cathedral Place and Charlotte Street, near Anderson Circle, distributing water while supplies last and helping as needed to passersby. The Broudy's Lot, located at 198 W. King St., will be open for free parking from 5:00pm until midnight; however, shuttles will not be available. The Broudy's Lot is within walking distance to downtown, so those who choose to park there may walk to the historic downtown and bayfront. As a reminder to those who plan to attend Fireworks Over the Matanzas: Before you arrive, have an exit strategy. Plan to stay downtown after the fireworks display. Allow traffic and people to disperse. Be patient. Expect long delays when exiting downtown following the fireworks. It takes all day for people to arrive, and everyone tries to leave at the same time. The Historic Downtown Parking Facility is expected to reach capacity early and will be closed. There will be long exit lines when leaving the garage after the fireworks.

Lily Allen apologises for 'being mean' to Katy Perry about Blue Origin space flight as she admits it was 'her own internalised misogyny'
Lily Allen has apologised for 'being mean' to Katy Perry about the Blue Origin space flight and admitted it was 'her own internalised misogyny'. The 39-year-old singer joined the chorus criticising the Firework hitmaker and the all-female crew – which included broadcaster Gayle King and Jeff Bezos ' fiancee Lauren Sanchez – for their brief trip into orbit earlier this month. However, she has now publicly backtracked and expressed regret for comments, admitting 'there was no need to pile on'. Speaking on her Miss Me? podcast on Monday, Lily said: 'I would actually like to apologise for being mean about Katy Perry last week. 'There was actually no need for me to bring her name into it, and it was my own internalised misogyny.' 'I've been thinking about it a lot and it was just completely unnecessary to pile on with her. And I disagree with what it was that they did but she wasn't the only person that did it.' She explained: 'Yet she was possibly the most famous and the one that, you know, it divides people the most, so I dunno. There was something in me that decided to choose her as the person that should... 'Anyway, I'm just sorry. I would have been hurt if it had been me and someone in my industry used me and my name and I saw that and I'm sorry Katy Perry. I know you don't listen to the show but yeah, sorry.' Her co-host Miquita Oliver then responded: 'I'm really happy you said that.' Lily had previously singled out the artist in her damning criticism of the space voyage. The Smile hitmaker said recently: 'Do we want to talk about Katy Perry and her mates all going up to space for 12 minutes? I mean, what the f****** hell is that all about? But in all seriousness: What? Why?' She added: 'We're on the brink of recession, people are really f****** struggling to make ends meet and get food on their table.' However, the star now has a different outlook on the matter and expressed her regret at specifically targeting Katy. Lily isn't the only star to express her disapproval of the Blue Origin space flight after model and actress Emily Ratajkowski branded it as 'beyond parody'. Speaking on her Miss Me? podcast on Monday, Lily said: 'I would actually like to apologise for being mean about Katy Perry last week' In a TikTok video, she ranted: 'That space mission this morning? That's end time s***. Like, this is beyond parody. 'Saying that you care about Mother Earth and it's about Mother Earth, and you're going up in a spaceship that is built and paid for by a company that's singlehandedly destroying the planet? 'Look at the state of the world and think about how many resources went into putting these women into space. For what? What was the marketing there? 'And then to try to make it like… I'm disgusted. Literally, I'm disgusted.' However, it's not the first time Lily has butted heads with Katy. The Fireworks singer once described herself as a 'skinnier version' of Lily, prompting the English star to clap back. In a 2008 interview on Capital FM, fiery Lily described meeting Katy for the first time as 'frosty' - and took a swipe at her musical abilities. Lily said: 'I happen to know for a fact that she was an American version of me. 'She was signed by my label in America as, "We need to find something controversial and kooky like Lily Allen". 'And then they found her. I think the lyrics and stuff are a bit crass.' Lily added: 'When I met her I was bit frosty with her because someone asked her to describe herself. 'She's like, "Aha, I'm like a fatter version of Amy Winehouse and a skinnier version of Lily Allen!". It's like, you're not English and you don't write your own songs, shut up!' Katy later called a truce in her simmering feud with her fellow pop star. She apologised to Lily for her remarks, saying at the taping of Fuse's The Good, the Bad & the Britney: 'Yeah, I made a joke about that earlier this year. 'I was just kind of joking and trying to be funny. I didn't mean anything by it. Comedians are not necessarily to be taken super seriously.' Lily has also clashed with the likes of Miriam Margolyes, Azealia Banks, Victoria Beckham, and Courtney Love, as well as her notorious feud with Cheryl which spanned over 12 years.
