Four coppers reported to the incident
Pictures show a small group of around half a dozen kids hanging around near the stadium which hosted the Hoops' first pre-season clash of the new football year.
And one of the youths, wearing a Celtic tracksuit, was spotted holding the lit flare aloft before cops were on the scene.
Four police officers attended the incident, with two adults later seen gesticulating with the coppers after the firework had been put out and discarded.
After the passing of the Fireworks and Pyrotechnic Articles (Scotland) Act 2022, it is illegal to possess fireworks or pyrotechnic articles at sporting and music events.
The law also restricts the sale and use of fireworks by the general public, including the creation of firework control zones.
On the pitch, Celtic won 1-0 thanks to a first half goal from Johnny Kenny.
