Work smart to win 2029 polls: Naidu to TDP cadre
Vijayawada: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) supremo and Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu on Sunday exhorted his party leaders and cadre to not only work hard but also work smart as 'winning 2029 elections is my plan'. Addressing TDP's ministers, MPs, MLAs, leaders and others at the party office here on Sunday as part of 'Suparipalana - Tholi Adugu' (The First Step in Good Governance) campaign, Naidu stressed that TDP should remain in power beyond 2029 to continue development. Citing Singapore's example of prolonged single-party rule, he claimed that the state would have been on a rapid development path had TDP won in 2019. The Chief Minister further said that the state would aim to become a national innovation hub backed by industry and welfare synergy. According to him, the state government signed several investment-related MoUs that would generate 8.5 lakh jobs. Global corporates such as Google, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), LG Electronics, and ArcelorMittal are among those who will be investing in the state. "Investors believe in Andhra Pradesh's stability and potential," said Naidu, highlighting Cognizant Technology Solutions, Jindal Group, and others setting up units in Rayalaseema and North Andhra regions. Naidu stated that growth would be achieved in backward areas through aerospace, defence, and food processing units, ensuring job creation and equitable regional industrial development across multiple sectors. On the 'First Step in Good Governance' campaign marking the first anniversary of the NDA government in Andhra Pradesh, he urged party leaders and cadre to actively engage with the public for a month and showcase the state government's welfare and development initiatives implemented in the last one year. The Chief Minister stressed the importance of effective communication. "The government has undertaken numerous positive initiatives in the last year. These must be explained to the people," he asserted. According to him, the party prepared an action plan for a month-long, door-to-door campaign involving party leadership and cadres to disseminate information about the government's achievements. Naidu also urged leaders to be accessible to the public, stating, "the more accessible you are to the people, the more they will support you. Working is one thing; being available to the public is another." He also called for accountability, stating, "let's be accountable to the people. If there are mistakes, let's correct them." Naidu said that he was conducting various surveys to gather real-time information from the ground and assess the performance of MPs and MLAs. 'Only those who work hard will get positions,' he said. Naidu accused the YSR Congress of running deliberate smear campaigns, citing fabricated stories around murders, attacks, and false allegations on governance. He instructed party leaders to counter these narratives boldly, stressing that while highlighting welfare work is vital, exposing the opposition's alleged conspiracy-driven propaganda is equally important.

"Chandrababu should remember that all the vindictive politics the coalition has been playing will bounce back": YSRCP's Lakshmi Parvathi
Amaravati (Andhra Pradesh) [India], June 24 (ANI): The Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) on Tuesday expressed disagreement with the claims of good governance made during the completion of one year of the current administration in Andhra Pradesh, stating that several sections of society, including women, continue to face challenges. Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, YSRCP General Secretary Lakshmi Parvathi said the government must reflect on issues concerning women's safety and welfare schemes, and emphasised that strong corrective measures were necessary. 'Lokesh is being termed as a shadow Chief Minister, which is ridiculous as the greenhorn can barely speak out, and Chandrababu should remember that all the vindictive politics the coalition has been playing will bounce back in the coming days,' Lakshmi Parvathi said. 'There is no safety for women, and atrocities on even minor girls have been reported, but there is hardly any response from the government, and the Home Minister has no voice to speak as the accused are TDP cadre. Even Purandeswari, being the coalition partner, does not speak out, which shows that she has been endorsing every evil move of Chandrababu Naidu,' she added. She added that the welfare programmes implemented during the previous YSRCP-led government, particularly those focused on women's empowerment, were well-received and rolled out consistently. 'That was an example of good governance. Any deviation from that should be reassessed,' she added. Lakshmi Parvathi also questioned the public perception around certain leaders and urged all political stakeholders to rise above personal ambition to serve the state effectively. On Monday, the present state government marked the completion of its first year with a public event titled 'First Step in Good Governance', attended by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, Minister for Education Nara Lokesh, and BJP MP Daggubati Purandeswari. In a post on X CM Naidu wrote, 'Today's unique gathering, 'First Step in Good Governance' was dedicated to the people of Andhra Pradesh and our commitment to serving them. The GoAP came together in full strength to reflect on the progress made over the past year and to chart our path forward. We remain deeply committed to delivering transparent, accountable, and people-centric governance. With the support of our people of AP, we have begun to undo the damage of the past and lay the foundation for real, lasting development. I thank everyone who participated.' He added, 'Let's continue to serve our people and our state with full dedication and purpose.' (ANI)

Naidu unveils Swarna Andhra Vision, a blueprint for reconstruction, inclusive growth
In a landmark policy presentation at the State Secretariat on Monday during the celebrations of Suparipalanalo Tholi Adugu (First Step in Good Governance) on the occasion of the first anniversary of the NDA government, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu unveiled the government's ambitious 'Swarna Andhra @2047' vision, setting forth a comprehensive roadmap to restore the State's economy, governance, infrastructure, and social fabric. BJP A.P. president D. Purandeswari, Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan and all the Ministers, MLAs, MPs and others participated in the meeting. Terming the NDA alliance's historic electoral win as a mandate for reconstruction, Mr. Naidu positioned the initiative as a transformative journey from 'misgovernance to prosperity.' Mr. Naidu blamed the previous YSRCP regime for ''fiscal mismanagement, loss of investor confidence, institutional collapse, and the derailment of flagship projects like Amaravati and Polavaram''. Citing the NITI Aayog's report on debt sustainability, he pointed out huge public debt, diversion of funds, and a near-zero score on financial health. 'The people's verdict is against destruction. It is a call for rebuilding,' said Mr. Naidu. He affirmed the government's commitment to transparency by announcing seven White Papers to document systemic failures from 2019 to 2024. In his first month in office, Mr. Naidu said that he had initiated key reforms like repeal of the AP Land Titling Act, increased pensions under the NTR Bharosa scheme to ₹4,000 for senior citizens and ₹6,000 to ₹15,000 for other vulnerable groups, recruitment of 16,347 teachers via Mega DSC, and revival of 203 Anna Canteens serving over four crore meals at ₹5. Highlighting alignment with the Centre, the CM announced that the double engine government made it possible to ensure ₹15,000 crore for Amaravati, ₹12,500 crore for Polavaram, ₹11,400 crore for Vizag steel plant, allocation of ₹5,000 crore for Orvakal and Kopparthy industrial nodes, and sanction of the long-pending Railway Zone with headquarters at Vizag. Capital plan Mr. Naidu outlined plans to transform Amaravati into a global knowledge hub with a projected population of 3.5 million and 1.5 million jobs by 2050. Backed by global institutions such as the World Bank, ADB, and KfW, the city will be developed as a self-financing project, he added. Describing the Polavaram project as Andhra Pradesh's 'lifeline,' Mr. Naidu criticised the stalling of the project during the previous regime and announced a target completion timeline of 2027, with ₹5,936 crore already sanctioned by the Centre for 2025–26. P4 Model Mr. Naidu explained that the P4 model (Public-Private-People Partnership) as a revolutionary step to eradicate poverty by 2029. Under this, high-net-worth individuals (Margadarsis) will mentor the bottom 20% (Bangaru Kutumbams), with government programmes supplementing this effort. As of June 23, 2025, over 87,000 adoptions were registered under the model. In just 11 months, Andhra Pradesh attracted ₹9.34 lakh crore in investments with the potential to generate 8.5 lakh jobs, prioritising employment over capital intensity. Notable projects include Ashok Leyland (Mallavalli), Ratan Tata Innovation Hub Industrial parks in every Assembly constituency, renewed thrust on aquaculture, tourism, and food processing. He added that the exports in the State rebounded by 5.16%, lifting A.P.'s share of India's total exports from 4.52% to 4.75%. The Chief Minister said that after inheriting a declining economy (GSDP growth averaged 10.3% during 2019–24 compared to 13.5% in 2014–19), the government set an ambitious 12.02% GSDP growth rate in 2024–25, targeting ₹18.65 lakh crore in 2025–26. Amaravati will be developed as a 'Global Knowledge Hub' with quantum tech and innovation clusters. Mr. Naidu emphasised a digital-first governance model, with 703 services to go live on WhatsApp by Independence Day, and gave a call for 'collective action to build a wealthy, healthy, and happy Andhra Pradesh.' The Chief Minister warned of severe action for any disturbance to law and order.

Take NDA government achievements to people from June 23: CM Chandrababu Naidu
VIJAYAWADA: Chief Minister and TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu has directed the party rank and file to actively participate in the month-long door-to-door campaign from June 23 to explain the development programmes and welfare schemes implemented by the coalition government in its first year rule as part of the 'First Step in Good Governance' initiative. 'We have fulfilled our promise by implementing the Talliki Vandanam scheme. We made it clear that the scheme will be implemented without any cap on the number of school going children in a family. We have delivered that promise,' the TDP supremo said. Though we planned to organise the 'First Step in Good Governance' programme with MLAs, MPs, and officials on June 12, it was cancelled due to the plane crash in Ahmedabad, he said. Holding a teleconference with TDP MLAs, MPs, leaders and activists on Friday, Naidu asserted that from leaders to grassroots workers should participate in the campaign highlighting the achievements of NDA government. 'Besides highlighting our first-year achievements, we should counter false propaganda of opposition. Unable to digest our success, the opposition has resorted to attacks and insulted women,' Naidu said. Suggesting the cadre not to be complacent just because of the success of Mahanadu, he ordered the constitution of party organisational committees to provide opportunities to the hardworking activists. Opinions of all should be considered while constituting the TDP committees, he said. Making it clear that posts will be given to only those functioning as 'Kutumba Sadhikara Saradhi', he said the party activists should always be dynamic. Announcing that training camps will be organised for activists, and leaders from July, Naidu asserted that activists will be elevated as leaders.
