Apple Music marks 10 years of streaming with a new all-time Replay list

Apple Music is celebrating the 10-year anniversary of its streaming service by giving users a throwback to their favorite hits over the last decade. 'Replay All Time' — a special version of Apple Music's annual Replay experience — is being launched for subscribers that allows them to view and listen to their most played songs since joining the platform. The personalized Replay All Time playlist will be available from the Apple Music Home tab. If you joined the service back when it first launched on June 30, 2015, then you'll be able to relive how your music tastes have evolved (or not) since the very beginning, all from a single playlist. That's easier and more comprehensive than manually revisiting your yearly Replay playlists, given Apple Music only launched the feature in 2019. It's unclear if this playlist will be permanent or only available for a limited time. If it's the former, then Replay All Time will presumably be continually updated to reflect the listening history of Apple Music subscribers going forward. We have asked Apple to clarify. Apple Music is one of the oldest offerings under Apple's services division, which includes Apple Arcade, Fitness Plus, TV Plus, Podcasts, and Books. These services accounted for $26.6 billion of the company's $95.4 billion revenue last quarter and are a continued focus for Apple as it shifts towards making customers pay for its platforms, and not just its hardware. For a broader throwback, Apple Music Radio will reveal the top 500 most-streamed songs from the last 10 years starting on July 1st. The service will count down 100 songs per day, culminating with the top 100 on July 5th, after which the full '10 Years of Apple Music: Top Songs' playlist will be made available to stream. Other celebrations include a week-long block of specials and live programming that's kicking off today, starting with 'Don't Be Boring: The Birth of Apple Music Radio' between 9AM and 11AM ET. Apple Music is also opening a new studio space for artists in Los Angeles this summer. Apple says the three-story facility measures more than 15,000 square feet, and includes a 4,000-square-foot soundstage, rooms for photography, editing, and social media content, and two radio studios and a mixing room equipped for spatial audio.

Apple Says Workout Buddy Will Cheer You On

Apple says its new Workout Buddy feature will give athletes of all abilities the audible encouragement they need to get through their workouts. The Apple Watch feature, announced Monday at the company's WWDC 2025 keynote event, uses Apple Intelligence to analyze an Apple Watch user's previous workout history including data like paces run, miles logged and how often they close their Apple Fitness rings, before they start a workout to determine exactly what kind of encouragement they might need. Once the workout starts, data from it will be combined with all of that to provide real-time insights, Apple says. All of that will be translated by a new text-to-speech model into a "dynamic, generative voice," Apple says. It's built using voice data from an Apple Fitness Plus trainer, which the company says will give it the "right energy style and tone" for a given workout. Users can chose between several different voices. It might say phrases like "great job!" or "you crushed it!" or note achievements like a runner's first 10K. The Workout Buddy voice will kick of workouts with a positive pep talk, then provide encouragement and stats, like heart rate and pace along the way. Workouts will be capped at the end with both more encouragement and final stats.

Apple's new Workout Buddy helps you sweat smarter

Apple has launched at its WWDC 2025 conference Workout Buddy, an AI workout coach. The AI tool gathers data from both your current workout and your fitness history – including paces, miles logged, activity rings closed, and training load – to coach you through workouts in real time. Combined with Apple Intelligence on the iPhone, Workout Buddy relies on a text-to-speech model to translate encouragement into a fun generative voice that sounds like a fitness trainer. In fact, the generative voice is built using voice data from Fitness+ trainers – the people who lead workouts within Apple's Fitness+ app and studio. Users can choose from multiple voices to find the right one for them. The Workout app on the Apple Watch and iPhone will also update so it kicks off with a pep talk once you start on a run. It will also mark moments, like when you hit four miles, if your last mile was the fastest yet, and what your average heart rate is. At the end of the workout, the AI gives you a rundown of your average pace, heart rate, and whether you hit any additional milestones, like your first 10K run award. Workout Buddy will be available starting in English across the most popular workout types. As Apple has been reiterating during the entire WWDC, Workout Buddy is 'personal and private.' Additionally, Apple says it is giving the Workout app on the Apple Watch a new layout, with features like Custom Workout and Race Route 'just a tap away.' There are also new media features built into the app for music. Users can let Apple Music choose the best playlist based on their workout or their preferences, or users can select playlists or podcasts suggested based on what they've been listening to or the type of workout.
