NJ influencer slammed after taking her 7-year-old daughter to spray tan: ‘Do we not say no anymore?'
New Jersey-dwelling momfluencer Noel LaPalomento is no stranger to mother-daughter makeover sessions — face masks, nail salons, and try-on hauls seem to be staples in the family's household. The glam Garden Stater has racked up a following of 2.6M users on her TikTok account, @_the1stnoel, and frequently posts content featuring her 7-year-old, Giada. In fact, almost all of her top-performing videos, with tens of millions of views each, see the 28-year-old styling her sidekick's hair in a series that has become beloved by LaPalomento's followers. Advertisement 3 'Sometimes kids see what moms do and want to follow suit! It's normal and sweet to do activities together,' commented a viewer under the original TikTok video. Instagram/@noellapalomento The diva-esque duo's latest adventure? A trip to the tanning salon — and some followers weren't along for the ride. The comment section commotion kicked off after LaPalomento posted a TikTok joking about Giada asking to join her mom for a spray tan. Advertisement As influencers tend to do, the TikTokker showed off the session, posting a second video detailing the salon experience, followed by a final post dedicated to the much-anticipated results. LaPalomento clarified in the video series that the spray tan ingredients were 'just sugar and water,' and that Giada's aunt was the spray tan artist who was featured in the video, but unsurprisingly, the Internet was irate over the light-hearted videos. 'Do we not say no anymore?' quipped a disapproving viewer. Advertisement Though this particular comment racked up over 50,000 likes, it also prompted several replies defending the momfluencer. 'Do we not mind our own business anymore?' retorted one user, while another responded: 'Why would she? It's not like anyone is going to get hurt,' referring to the natural ingredients in the tanning solution and family supervision. 'I didn't even know what a spray tan was at 7…' said another shocked commenter. 3 Spray tanning is often considered the healthiest mode of artificial tanning, as it doesn't expose the skin to harmful UV rays, unlike outdoor sunbathing and tanning beds. Flamingo Images – Advertisement Many critics expressed concern about the 7-year-old's sense of self-esteem and health as a result of exposure to makeup and beauty treatments, but LaPalomento was quick to address this backlash in a separate video. 'I just feel like it sets a certain beauty standard at a young age,' worried a viewer. 'I don't agree,' the momfluencer replied. 'She knows makeup, nails, etc, is just for fun and a way to express yourself and be creative.' 3 LaPalomento posted a video of the 7-year-old's spray tan reveal, and viewers were amused to see the child's outfit included ultra-trendy Labubu plushes. TikTok/@_the1stnoel Other mothers sounded off in the comments of the original series and shared similar opinions. 'I'd rather get my kid a spray tan than have them lie out in the sun. She looks so cute!' said one reply, while another reminisced: 'My mom and I always did what we called Paris Hilton day once a month: spray tan, nails, shopping, lunch.' 'Your parenting style is exactly who I aspire to be as a mother!!!!' gushed a fan. 'It's so refreshing seeing you let her live her best life and be herself and experience girlhood love you for that.' Advertisement Meanwhile, dozens of users took to the comments just looking for the location of the tanning salon. 'That is the most perfect looking spray tan I've ever seen,' replied one covetous commenter. Though LaPalomento's decision caught plenty of flak from haters, her no-judgment approach to letting her daughter explore different methods of self-expression also won her support from viewers — many of whom left replies mocking critics. 'This is actually so dangerous because she might grow up to be a baddie who loves experiencing things with her mom,' said one sardonic commenter, while another wrote: 'This is so WRONG!!!!! Simply because I didn't get to join this iconic girls' day.' Advertisement Others simply emphasized the role that artificial tanning plays in Jersey culture. 'They don't realize we're just from New Jersey,' affirmed a fellow Garden State native, while another astute NJer said: 'Once I heard the accents I was like, 'Oh okay she's in the hands of a professional.'' The professionals in question — Glow Lab in Sewell, NJ — use spray tanning tech that is naturally derived, and doesn't contain parabens, gluten, sulfates, mineral oils, or nut oils, making it a much safer alternative to the beds that took over tanning culture in the 2000s. The Post has reached out to LaPalomento for comment.

I've been to every hotel on the Las Vegas Strip — but there are just 5 that I'll always revisit.
Mandalay Bay has some of the best pools in Las Vegas. Mandalay Bay may be a bit south on The Strip, but it's still worth a visit. I love that it offers plenty of activities, like the on-site Shark Reef Aquarium. This hotel's 11-acre "aquatic playground" is also one of the coolest pool complexes in the entire city. You'll find a lazy river, wave pool, and more — but my favorite is the Moorea Beach Club, an adults-only, tops-optional pool complex with cabanas and daybeds for rental. The real draw for me, though, is that even the most basic-level rooms feel big and bright, with 550 square feet of space and floor-to-ceiling windows. I love that NoMad has a sleek aesthetic and a quiet, private pool. A luxurious "hotel within a hotel," NoMad spans the top four floors of Park MGM. Compared to Park MGM's cheery and bright decor, NoMad has a darker, moodier aesthetic. The rooms include original artwork, hardwood floors, and beautiful small touches throughout. Whenever I stay here, I feel like I'm in a luxe, big-city apartment instead of a hotel room. One of my favorite amenities is the quiet pool reserved for NoMad guests, who can enjoy all of Park MGM's pools and cabanas even when the pool is closed. Vdara is a great casino-free pick for families. Vdara is a rare Vegas resort without any casinos, making this a great option for non-gamblers, families, and business travelers. (Still, if you're looking to visit a blackjack table, you can easily visit the nearby casinos at the Aria, the Bellagio, and Cosmopolitan.) The modern suites with full kitchens provide an apartment-style experience. Plus, Vdara offers large windows with the best views of the Bellagio fountains and bright Vegas sunsets. My favorite budget hotel is the Flamingo. This is the best of the budget options on The Strip — and it's located right in the middle of all the action. Whenever I'm here, I can easily walk to the monorail, High Roller Ferris wheel, and shopping hubs, like the LINQ Promenade. When it comes to the hotel itself, I love the Flamingo's outdoor garden and Wildlife Habitat (which, yes, features real Chilean flamingoes). I also enjoy visiting the adults-only GO Pool. Offering the atmosphere of a day club, pool enthusiasts line up well before it opens to claim chairs and daybeds. Music blasts all day and there are waterfalls, small lounging islands, and even outdoor craps tables. Finally, the Flamingo has several stellar restaurant options. One of my favorites is Bugsy & Meyer's, a steakhouse with vintage decor and a facade that resembles an old general store. Out of all the hotels I've visited, the Wynn is my favorite. The Wynn Las Vegas (and its sister hotel, Encore) is my absolute favorite hotel complex in all of Las Vegas. The rooms are modern, spacious, and comfortable. Plus, I love that they include thoughtful touches like nice stemware and tablets for room controls, room service, and more. I'm also consistently impressed by the Wynn's food options. You'll find tons of high-quality restaurants here, including one of the few buffets on The Strip. Personally, I always look forward to having a sumptuous dinner at SW Steakhouse — and then, visiting the lakeside patio for a quirky light show.

Man accused of causing wrong-way crash on I-75 was driving without valid license, court records say
A man, accused of driving the wrong way on Interstate 75 and causing a crash, appeared in court Tuesday. [DOWNLOAD: Free WHIO-TV News app for alerts as news breaks] As reported on News Center 7 at 6, court records reveal that 46-year-old James Collins was driving without a valid driver's license on June 5, the day of the chase and crash. RELATED>> Brand new aviation video shows man throwing wood at deputies, causing wrong-way crash on I-75 Perry Township Police attempted to pull Collins over in a white GMC Sierra with no visible registration. Instead of stopping, police say Collins fled. TRENDING STORIES: Kettering Health Cyberattack: Here's what is being done for patients with sensitive info on dark web 'Flamingo felons' arrested after statue stolen for second time 5-year-old expected to survive after suspected drunk driver runs red light The Ohio State Highway Patrol's aviation unit followed the GMC Sierra as it drove all over Montgomery County as if he was being chased. Law enforcement tried to deploy stop sticks to disable the vehicle, but they were unsuccessful. Then a passenger that was in the bed of the truck, identified as 49-year-old Thomas Downey, began throwing wood from the bed of the truck. 'We have officers flying past this vehicle while wood is being thrown at them, to get in front and start breaking down and locking down intersections,' Major Jeremy Roy said in a press conference Monday. Collins then, according to law enforcement, began driving east in the westbound lanes of Route 35 before following a ramp the wrong way and driving south on northbound I-75. 'I believe some of these suspects are doing this intentionally to think that we're going to back off and we're just not going to do that anymore,' Roy said. The wrong-way crash happened before law enforcement could stop Collins. Collins is now in jail after entering a 'not guilty' plea in court, facing charges of vehicular assault, obstructing official business and failure to comply with an officer. All while driving without a valid driver's license. Collins appeared in court from jail by video. The judge set his bond at $20,000 without the ability to pay 10% of the bond as bail, meaning he would have to pay the full amount in cash to be released and placed on electronic monitoring as his case moves forward. Downey has not yet appeared in court and is not in police custody. [SIGN UP: WHIO-TV Daily Headlines Newsletter]

Fast-growing plants can help to create natural boundaries in your space. Whether you're placing them in your flower beds or pots, these additions can transform your garden. And now, you can take this step without breaking the budget with a savvy deal. A gardening enthusiast shared the find on the Facebook page Gardening on a Budget. "Home Bargains, they have just got them in," she wrote alongside a photo of a Pink Marble Photinia Fraserai. The Home Bargains shopper revealed the potted plants cost £25 each. "Think I'm going to go back tomorrow and buy one," she added. The Facebook user explained that she's "always wanted" one of the "fast-growing" plants. Other gardening fans compared the buy to Flamingo trees in the comments section. Shayna's DIY Privacy Fence: Simple and Effective Many also pointed out how big the plant is expected to grow over the years. "Hope you have a large space for it as they grow enormous unless you constantly trim it," wrote one commenter. "I bought the red robin version last year for £25. It's grown so much. Was definitely great value," said another person. "I bought one from there last year and it's doing amazingly well. It's a good price too. I have mine in a tub," shared a third reader. Another Home Bargains shopper shared her experience with the plant. How to create privacy in your garden CREATING privacy in your garden can be achieved in a number of ways depending on your budget, and the size of your space. Here are some effective ways to enhance privacy in your garden: 1. Fencing Install a tall, solid wooden or vinyl fence. This is one of the most straightforward ways to gain immediate privacy. Or use lattice panels, trellis, or slatted fencing to add a decorative touch while still offering privacy. 2. Hedges and Plants Fast-growing evergreen shrubs or trees like Leylandii, Thuja, or Bamboo along the boundary of your garden can help with privacy. Grow a dense hedge using plants like Boxwood, Privet, or Laurel. It may take time to grow, but it provides a natural and green privacy screen. Use climbers like Ivy, Clematis, or Wisteria on fences or trellises to create a lush, green privacy barrier. 3. Outdoor Curtains Hang outdoor curtains around pergolas, gazebos, or patios for an easy-to-adjust privacy solution. 4. Sound Barriers A water fountain or small waterfall can help drown out noise, adding to the sense of privacy. Or install fencing designed to reduce noise if privacy from sound is also a concern. "I've bought loads of them from Home Bargains, I'm planning to keep them in the topiary shape," she said. "I've got the Red Robin and the Pink Marble, they look gorgeous when the sun catches them." Another customer agreed that the plant is "well worth the money". "Please bear in mind if you don't keep them in a pot they can grow to over 30 foot tall," advised one commenter. "Photinia look stunning as standards. As long as you continue to prune them or they will revert to a bush," agreed another person.
