"Sign even more" - All the players linked to Kaizer Chiefs
Kaizer Chiefs have signed six players so far. They intend to sign more before the transfer window closes. Kaizer Chiefs have signed SIX new players already. Nkanyiso Shinga, Flavio Silva, Ethan Chislett, Paseko Mako, Thabiso Monyane and Siphesihle Ndlovu. However, they are not done with their transfer business yet. Chiefs will be signing more players this transfer window. 'We're ready for combat and certainly look to sign even more,' Jessica Motaung told SABCSport . So, Chiefs have been linked with some big-name players such as Percy Tau, Fiston Mayele, Stanley Nwabali, Asanele Velebayi. Meanwhile, Amakhosi are PSL rivals Orlando Pirates are both linked with these big-name Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana targets. However, Amakhosi will NOT be signing these players. Meanwhile, Chiefs are currently in a transfer legal dispute over two players from PSL rivals, as reported on The South African. Velebayi and Baartman are the players who have reportedly joined Amakhosi. However, they are awaiting the outcome of the legal dispute with Cape Town Spurs over their contract situation. Chiefs have identified the need to sign a striker. Furthermore, Amakhosi's scouts have been told to look for a new attacker – an attacking midfielder and a striker or two. In goal, Chiefs are looking for a replacement for outbound goalkeeper, Fiacre Ntwari. This is because he is one of several Amakhosi players heading out of Naturena. Finally, Amakhosi's attack has lacked creativity and impotence in front of goal. Chiefs only managed two goals in five matches during their pre-season tour of the Netherlands. One of these came from defender, Reeve Frosler. Meaning, Amakhosi clearly needs to sign an attacker or two. Stay tuned to The South African as we reveal the latest Amakhosi player movements – signings and departures – as they happen. Kaizer Chiefs signed a player from Temu and the package hasn't arrived
New Kaizer Chiefs striker Flavio Silva has caused a stir online after some lacklustre performances on the pre-season tour in the Netherlands. The 29-year-old striker was born in Guinea-Bissau and holds Portuguese citizenship. He has three caps for his country and two goals. Best Kaizer Chiefs XI next season revealed? The comments sections on articles here at The South African scarcely disappoint. One recent reader says that, by purchasing Flavio Silva, Kaizer Chiefs have got a 'striker straight off TEMU' which isn't kind but it's kinda funny. Silva didn't knock the lights out with his performances on pre-season for Chiefs, but neither did the entire team, to be fair. How long will he need to settle into the playing style in South Africa? Kaizer Chiefs transfers: SIX new arrivals, SEVEN exits
Kaizer Chiefs have shifted some deadweight and made a few interesting signings. Here's a transfer wrap from Naturena. Siphesihle Ndlovu is the headline arrival in midfield. Meanwhile, striker Flavio Silva is getting some mixed reviews. The industrious midfield man has made the switch to Austrian Bundesliga side SV Ried for a fee in the region of €725k (R15 million). That might sound like a decent figure for the club, but let's do a quick projection exercise. Let's assume SV Ried keeps Maart for a year and then opts to sell him to a much wealthier club. What sort of fee could they attract? At least triple what they paid Chiefs for his services? Click for the story Let us know by leaving a comment below or sending a WhatsApp to 060 011 0211. Confirmed: Kaizer Chiefs kicking off the season in Cape Town
Under the guidance of head coach Nasreddine Nabi, Kaizer Chiefs have another opportunity to reclaim the glory days after a frustrating and inconsistent previous season. Early momentum will be crucial for a team under pressure to deliver. The first five fixtures offer a mixture of tough away days and key home opportunities. How well Kaizer Chiefs handle this opening stretch could set the tone for the rest of their campaign. Here's a closer look at Kaizer Chiefs' first five fixtures of the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season… PSL club ready to sell goalkeeper to Kaizer Chiefs New Kaizer Chiefs signings for the 2025/26 Betway Premiership season: Flavio Silva, Ethan Chislett, and Nkanyiso Shinga. Images: kcofficial/Instagram 10 August: Stellenbosch (Away) Amakhosi begin their season on the road against Stellenbosch at the Athlone Stadium in Cape Town. Stellies have developed into a competitive side, especially at home, and Steve Barker's side will ask big questions of Kaizer Chiefs. Kaizer Chiefs news: R20 million in the bank and 10 strikers 13 August: Polokwane City (Home) Just three days later, AmaKhosi will play their first home game against Polokwane City. It's an important fixture to gain confidence in front of the home fans, and one where maximum points will be expected. 19 August: Richards Bay (Home) Ronnie Gabriel, who recently replaced Brandon Truter as head coach of Richards Bay, will offer a fresh tactical approach to the Natal Rich Boyz. Kazer Chiefs will look to take advantage of any transitional struggles from the visitors, especially with home advantage. 27 August: Mamelodi Sundowns (Away) Arguably the biggest test of the month. Kaizer Chiefs will head to Loftus Versfeld to take on the champions Sundowns. These blockbuster encounters are more than just three points—they're a measure of title credentials. A strong performance here could send a message to the rest of the league. 30 August: Golden Arrows (Away) Kaizer Chiefs will close out August with another road trip, this time to Durban to face Golden Arrows. Always tricky on home soil, Arrows have a reputation for upsetting the traditional giants. Amakhosi will need to show mental and physical resilience to end the month on a high. Why Kaizer Chiefs can't afford another striker misfire
PORTUGUESE striker Flavio Silva has so far devided opinions after signing for Kaizer Chiefs. | @KaizerChiefs Kaizer Chiefs have taken steps to fix their long-standing striker problem, but with past failures still fresh in memory, their next signing simply cannot afford to be another letdown. After years of frustration up front, the Soweto giants have once again gone into the market in search of goals. Christian Saile and Ranga Chivaviro were both released after failing to make the desired impact, while Tashreeq Morris has yet to win over the technical team. In response, Chiefs moved quickly to bring in Portuguese striker Flávio Silva from Indonesian club Persebaya Surabaya. Silva, 29, is not a young prospect or a player signed for potential — he's expected to deliver immediately. But already, question marks are forming around his fitness and sharpness, especially after a pre-season campaign that has not inspired universal confidence. Some supporters have voiced concerns, wary of another stop-gap solution in a position that has been mishandled far too often in recent years.
