Newfoundland woman killed in crash on Alta. highway
A woman from Newfoundland and Labrador was killed in a four-vehicle crash in central Alberta on Tuesday. Mounties believe a Ford F-350 driver struck a line of slower moving traffic on Highway 2 north of Highway 12, near Lacombe, around 1 p.m. The 71-year-old woman from Newfoundland died at the scene. Four other people were hospitalized but are expected to survive. A dog was also killed. Alcohol is not believed to be a factor.

Third diesel thief arrested, accused of $63K in fraudulent sales
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A third suspect was arrested in connection with thousands of gallons of fraudulent diesel fuel sales worth $63,000, according to the Covington Police Department. Andre Davis, 30, was arrested Wednesday and had a warrant out for his arrest in January in connection with this theft. He was charged with theft of property over $1,000. Diesel thieves fuel up with $63K in fraudulent sales, police say On Dec. 3, 2024, police received information of fraudulent credit sales activity at the CO-OP 24/7 fuel pumps at 597 East Liberty Avenue. According to reports, the original complaint said the fraudulent sales occurred between September and December 2024, 54 transactions were made, totaling $24,234.07 in fraudulent diesel gas sales. Police said that the suspects stole 18,000 gallons worth $63,000 in fraudulent sales. CO-OP employees saw trucks pumping large amounts of diesel into containers, and the fuel was charged to fraudulent credit card accounts. Police said they confirmed multiple trucks were being used to commit fuel thefts. Two suspects in Memphis are accused of using multiple trucks to fill containers full of diesel, then charging the fuel to fraudulent credit cards, police said. A third suspect is still wanted. The investigation began late last year with a tip about suspicious trucks and transactions at a CO-OP 24/7 gas station in Covington. Police say they also found similar thefts in Fayette and Hardeman counties. Man accused of carjacking WREG reporter arrested Detectives worked jointly with the Tennessee Highway Patrol, the Memphis Police Department, and the Somerville Police Department to develop suspects. Covington police arrested Rylan Hughes and Jordan Sykes earlier this year. Rylan Hughes, 22, was charged with Theft of Property Over $1,000. Covington detectives say they seized several debit cards, cell phones, and a white Ford F350 truck. Jordan Sykes, 23, was charged with Theft of Property Over $1,000. Washington teen killed while repairing pick-up truck on Saturday night
DAVIESS COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — A Washington teen was killed following an auto-repair accident on Saturday night. According to the Daviess County Sheriff's Office, dispatch received a call just after 9 p.m. of report of a male pinned under a vehicle near 2094 W 300 N in Washington. Upon arrival, authorities located a male pinned beneath a full-size Ford F350 truck. A nearby forklift was used to lift the vehicle to remove the victim from underneath. The victim was identified as 16-year-old Cooper Schuckman of Washington. The victim's family has been notified. Initial investigation determines Schuckman, and a friend were working on the vehicle that was jacked up on two air jacks. While attempting to remove a part from the vehicle, the weight shifted, and the vehicle fell off the jacks and onto the victim. The Daviess County Sheriff's Office was assisted by the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department, the Daviess County Ambulance Service and the Daviess County Coroner's Office. DUI driver who killed Lake Placid teen drove 5x the legal limit
HIGHLANDS COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — A man has been charged with DUI manslaughter after a 16-year-old girl was killed in a head-on collision, the Florida Highway Patrol said. At around 4 p.m. on May 22, a Ford F350, driven by 44-year-old Thomas Raulerson, was traveling the wrong way on U.S.-98, going north in the southbound lane, in a construction zone. A second vehicle, a Honda Civic, was traveling south on the southbound lane, driving behind an SUV. The driver of the SUV, approaching the vehicle going the wrong direction, braked and steered right, colliding with a construction barrel on the side of the road. The 16-year-old girl driving the Honda Civic braked as the SUV went off the road, and was hit head-on by the Ford F350. She was pronounced dead on the scene. Raulerson's blood alcohol concentration level was .445, which is over five times the legal limit. He was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries before being arrested and charged on May 30. He was charged with two counts of DUI property damage and DUI manslaughter. Woman killed, 3 children hospitalized in Brevard County crash
The Florida Highway Patrol is looking into a deadly accident that claimed the life of a woman, which took place just north of the Pineda Causeway in Melbourne on Sunday afternoon. Troopers update that the impact from the crash caused both vehicles to run off the roadway and fatally collide with a guardrail. Troopers report that a roadblock is set up, urging drivers to exercise caution in the area due to the accident scene. The outside lane is now open. The crash location can be seen better on the map below. Troopers say the Ford F-350 driver had a left tire blowout, causing loss of vehicle control. Consequently, the Ford struck the Honda Odyssey, leading both cars to run off the road and hit a Ford F-350 driver was not transported and remained on-scene. The Honda Odyssey had four occupants within the vehicle. The three passengers, two toddlers and a baby, were all transported with non-life-threatening injuries. The adult female driving the Honda Odyssey was declared dead at the scene.
