Northrop Grumman awarded $11.7 million contract for Iraqi aircraft support
Baghdad ( – US company Northrop Grumman has been awarded an $11.7 million contract to provide logistical support for Iraq's fleet of C-172 and C-208 aircraft.
According to citing the US Department of Defense (Pentagon), the contract was granted on June 30, increasing its total value from $58.9 million to $70.6 million.
The contract falls under the Foreign Military Sales program for Iraq, with $11,737,827 specifically allocated for this purpose. The project is being overseen by the US Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Training Aircraft Division, part of the Rapid Acquisition and Sustainment Branch at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.
Northrop Grumman, headquartered in Fort Worth, Texas, will perform the work at Shahid Ali Fleyh Air Base, formerly known as Balad Air Base, in Iraq. The project is expected to be completed by June 30, 2026.
