Upcoming Fortnite OG live event Blast Off launch date, rewards, and more
Image via Epic Games. After the arrival of Fortnite OG in December 2024, fans have been part of a lot of nostalgic aspects of this highly popular battle royale title. With iconic maps like Dusty Depot, Tomato Town, and classic weapons like Pump Shotguns, SCAR, and many more, this permanent game mode became an instant hit. Now, as things stand, this fan-favorite game mode is going to bring back another forgotten memory, which was last seen in the Chapter 1 Season 4 of the game, in the form of a live event. Fortnite OG live event : Blast Off launch date and more details Live events have always been a treat in Fortnite. Recently, the Galactic Battle season saw its horizon with the arrival of Death Star Sabotage live event. Similarly, Fortnite OG is also gearing up for a live-event which is actually going to be referenced from a historic event in the original game, which takes us seven years back. The upcoming live event in Fortnite OG Chapter 1 Season 4 is going to be called Blast Off, which is launching July 26, 2025. Despite having a confirmed date, we are yet to get the official timings of this event, which will likely begin at 11 AM PDT. However, the official announcement advised the players to keep an eye on the official social channels of Fortnite. Except the release date and the name, we don't have any more details regarding the event. But this is what the official description of Blast Off states: 'In the aftermath of the meteor, a mysterious figure has been seen around the Island, followed everywhere they go by murmurs of rockets and secret lairs. As Chapter 1 Season 4 progresses so too will the story of The Visitor — and it all seems to lead back to the rocket launch that changed the Island forever.' Now, what does it mean? This event will actually reenact the first ever event during the original game's Chapter 1 Season 4 in 2018. This is when everything began as a rocket blasted off into the sky and in turns of events, created Cracks or Sideways Rifts in the sky. These rifts connect several realities together across space and time. That means we are going to see something similar in this upcoming event as well. Fortnite servers down for Chapter 6 Season 3 update – here's when they're back
Epic Games has taken Fortnite servers offline for the Chapter 6 Season 3 update after the Star Wars mini season came to an end with the Death Star Sabotage live event. Fortnite players were treated to another live event to cap off the Star Wars-themed mini season with Death Star Sabotage and now servers are down as Epic rolls out the new season. Fortnite servers are down for the Chapter 6 Season 3 update (yes, Season 3 – apparently the last season didn't count as a numbered entry) that's set to launch players into a rumoured superhero-themed season along with their Fortnite OG counterparts who'll be reliving the original Chapter 4, which had the theme of (drumroll) superheroes. It'll also wave goodbye to everything Star Wars for now, with the IP getting a whole season in this year's collab – even if it was a super short one. That means no more whooshing around in TIE Fighters and X-Wings, which you might not be happy about. But on the flip side, we're also seeing the return of ammo-based weapons with the departure of the charge Star Wars weapons. The Death Star Sabotage live event capped off the end of the Galactic Battle mini season, and players had a limited time to hop into the game to take part. After the climax, Epic Games turfed everyone out to take Fortnite servers down and implement the Season 3 update. But when will they be back online? Here's what you need to know about this weekend's bout of downtime and when Fortnite servers are expected to be back up and running. Fortnite server status Fortnite servers went down right after the live event which started at at 11am PDT / 2pm EDT / 7pm BST on Saturday, June 7 and ran for almost 20 minutes. The in-game screen confirmed that Fortnite servers will be back online at 5pm PDT / 8pm EDT or 1am BST / 2am CEDT on Sunday, June 8 if you're in the UK and Europe. What to expect in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 While Epic has been keeping the theme of Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 under wraps, leakers and dataminers have been busy ferreting about for more information. The next season is reportedly going to have a 'superhero academy' theme, not only aligning with the Fortnite OG theme, but also primes the game for a crossover with the upcoming James Gunn Superman movie releasing this July. Here's what to expect to see in-game once Fortnite downtime, according to leakers @Hypex (collabs, new weapons, POIs, sprites): Collabs One-Punch Man (Saitama) Squid Game (Skins + UEFN) Superman (+ Mythics, POI and Sprites) Robin (+ Red Style & Maybe more DC) New POIs and landmarks Utopia City Whiffy Wharf Shogun's Solitude Supernova Academy Demon's Domain & Dojo Spire Spike Scout Spire Overlord Spire Demon's Dojo Hopeful Heights Weapons and items Krypto Treat Superman Sprite Unstable Yoink Shotgun Wingshot Grappler Deadeye DMR Killswitch Revolvers Hyperburst Pistol Kor's Deadeye DMR Enhanced Spire Rifle Myst Gauntlets Spire Rifle Tracking Visor Unstable Frostfire Shotgun Unstable Voltage Burst Pistol It was only on Friday that leakers finally got their hands on all of this, so it's nice to know what to expect given Epic has kept mum.

Fortnite OG Season 4 start date for the next throwback season
The Fortnite OG Season 4 release date is fast approaching, with the new season set to bring a host of classic content, as well as a tease that the game could be set to change history in the classic mode The upcoming Fortnite OG season is set to bring a significant change to the beloved island, if the latest teaser is anything to go by. Since Fortnite OG launched as a standalone mode, it's managed to find its footing pretty fast. The introduction of an exclusive pass for players, and throwback to classic seasons along with their cosmetics has been a game-changer, particularly as it allows players to revisit iconic POIs and annihilate enemies with weapons that have been inactive in Fortnite for years. This is a refreshing contrast to the current mainline season, which includes a new Mandalorian Fortnite skin and Jar Jar Binks NPC in a Star Wars crossover that got its own dedicated mini season. The upcoming Fortnite OG Season 4 is on its way, so you might want to wrap up that OG Pass quickly before the introduction of a new season reflecting the game's fourth ever season, aptly named Brace for Impact. This is well-timed, as the superhero-themed classic season aligns with Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3, which is also speculated to feature spandex-wearing heroes. But when exactly can we anticipate the launch of Fortnite OG Season 4, and what will it include? Here's everything you need to know about the Fortnite OG Season 4 release date and the forthcoming content drop. Fortnite OG Season 4 release date The release date for Fortnite OG Season 4 is scheduled for Saturday, June 7 at 4pm PDT / 7pm EDT, and Sunday, June 8 at 12am BST. This date has been verified by the Battle Pass screen for the OG Season 3 Pass, coinciding with the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3 release date which was recently brought forward a day, as disclosed by @ShiinaBR. The time is an estimate based on the current OG pass's end time, with the anticipated five-hour season-spanning downtime added on top. This time is not yet confirmed, but it's a fairly solid estimate. The timing of the new season couldn't be more perfect, as it coincides with an original superhero-themed Chapter 4 and the upcoming Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 3, which is also set to feature a mix of original and licensed superheroes. What can we expect from Fortnite OG Season 4? Currently, there's just a single teaser hinting at the arrival of Fortnite OG Season 4. But before diving into that, let's look back at the content introduced in the iconic Chapter 1 Season 4. Fortnite Chapter 1 Season 4 saw the introduction of characters The Visitor and Carbide, the deployment of the Burst Assault Rifle and Drum Gun, and the memorable meteor strike on Dusty Depot, scattering debris across the map and altering numerous points of interest. Epic Games has started to drop hints about Fortnite OG Season 4, tweeting an image of a glitched television screen with the mysterious caption "anyone got eyes on Tilted," suggesting a historic twist where the meteor hits Tilted Towers instead of Dusty Depot. It's a daring move, especially since OG aims to serve up a hearty slice of nostalgia, however, it undeniably adds a unique flair to the mode. The release date for Fortnite OG Season 4 is fast approaching, and if the hints from Fortnite are to be believed, this could be a daring move for the mode, taking inspiration from the classic season and flipping it upside down. You may want to loot Tilted Towers before it disappears once more. When does Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 start this week
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 is just around the corner and it's looking like we'll be getting some superhero content to kick things off It's time to save the world, with leaks, rumours and even Fortnite OG dropping hints about the content for the upcoming season. Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 is set to start this weekend, following the five-week long mini Star Wars season, and climactic Death Star Sabotage live event. It's been one of the shortest Fortnite seasons since the game launched in 2019, with a weekly update ushering the narrative along before we bid a final farewell to the Force. Well, until next year's annual crossover. While Epic Games hasn't shared its plans for Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4, and we're expecting to see a trailer during SGF 2025 on Friday, June 6 we do have some idea as to what to expect thanks to Twitter leaker @Hypex who shared that theme of the next season of Fortnite is likely superheros, based on datamining and a recent skins survey. As for in-game clues, the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 start date lines up with the start of Fortnite OG Chapter 4. If you weren't around for the original Chapter 1 Season 4 (that the upcoming Fortnite OG chapter is drawing from), it was called 'Brace for Impact' and the theme was – you guessed it – superheroes. So there might be some connection between the two seasons, whether it's just thematic, or something more. As for the leaks, it seems like Hero-themed Boons might be on the way, as well as a possible collab that ties into the upcoming Superman film that releases on July 11, 2025. Our other favourite Twitter leaker, @ShiinaBR seemingly confirmed the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 superhero-theme along with fellow leaker @Wensoing who tweeted that we can anticipate hero abilities to boot. So when does the superhero content arrive? Here's what you need to know. When does Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 start? Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 4 is set to start on Saturday, June 7. As for the exact time, Epic hasn't shared that just yet, but it'll likely be around 4pm PDT / 7pm EDT on Saturday, which is 12am BST on Sunday, June 8 in the UK. We expect the Fortnite Death Star Sabotage live event to last for around 15-20 mins. And looking at the last couple of downtimes for Chapter 6, we estimate it'll be around five hours. Although Epic has had the game up and running earlier than its anticipated downtime before, so we could be back on the Island sooner than that.

OG Fortnite may have as many as 92 bots per match
Has your competition in Fortnite ever felt a bit… off? If so, Epic's minimum real player counts may be to blame. A leaker with a proven track record claims (via Polygon ) that the game's OG version can sometimes be populated with over 90 percent bots. The leaker AllyJax used a Discord bot called The Dub to find the number. (Among its other features, the tool lets you count the number of real players in a lobby.) "The minimum real player count has been reduced from 25 to as low as 8 in Fortnite OG ," AllyJax wrote. "There is a probable chance you can have matches with 92 bots." AllyJax says this only applies to Fortnite OG . That's the mode that lets you play the game's original map as it was in 2017. (It also includes old-school loot and seasons.) Epic brought the game mode back for good in November after a 2023 trial. In a vacuum, companies like Epic using bots isn't necessarily a bad thing. For starters, they can be used to shorten wait times for matches. The AI rivals can also size up new players' abilities, leading to better matchmaking. Their counts can change over time as publishers weigh these factors against the number of people playing. (AllyJax suggests Fortnite 's can change from month to month.) But being surrounded by as many as 92 bots and only seven other humans is… probably not what you signed up for. Engadget emailed Epic for a confirmation or comment. At the time of publication, we haven't heard back. But we'll update this story if we do.
