And so, I think that makes it really appealing for audiences to come and see a story, told in musical form. With amazing orchestra. And it really is something that people can identify with because the characters are human. I mean, they really can identify with what we're going through with our relationships on the stage and how this would play out,' LeFebvre said. The show is performed in Italian with English subtitles. Sunday's show is a matinee, beginning at 3 p.m. and there is an intermission. BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – The Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra is taking audience members on a journey through the musical landscapes of Finland and Russia as it raps up an annual concert series. The Philharmonic is presenting 'In the Beginning' on March 29 at 7:30 p.m. at the Broome County Forum Theatre. The final concert of the orchestra' 2024-2025 Symphonic Series is led by Music Director Maestro Daniel Hege and focuses on the natural and spiritual realms of the far North. Pianist Andrew Russo is returning to the Philharmonic as soloist in the Rachmaninoff concerto. Audience members are invited to a free pre-concert lecture by the Philharmonic's Director of Education and Community Engagement, 'The Musical Politics of Nostalgia,' about the ways that nationalism and exile informed the music of Sibelius and Rachmaninoff. How the traveling Addams Family production sets up in 7 hours
BINGHAMTON, NY (WIVT/WBGH) – High school theatre kids got to learn from the pros, and watched as over 50 stagehands transformed the Forum into the set for The Addams Family yesterday. Tonight is the final performance of the touring musical at the Forum Theatre in Binghamton. The student stage crew from Chenango Forks High School's theatre program got to watch and learn what it takes to setup for a traveling production in just 7 hours. The crews had to unpack three semi-truck loads worth of costumes, props, backdrops, and tech equipment. The choir director at Forks, Matt Vavalie says CF is also putting on a production of the Addams Family in April, so the students get to see the process for the same show, just on a much bigger scale. 'You don't really consider all of the pieces that go in behind the scenes. We go to see a show and we see the actors, you know, we see everything happen. You don't realize that every piece, from sounds to lights, to props, has to be brought in. So that it can be reused for each show,' says Vavalie. The Addams Family will be at the Forum tonight, beginning at 7:30. You can find tickets online at or in person at the box office. Then, Chenango Forks will host their version of The Addams Family on April 4th, 5th, and 6th. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
