Succession star Annabelle Dexter-Jones ties the knot five months after engagement to chef Daniel Humm
Succession star Annabelle Dexter-Jones has tied the knot. The 38-year-old actress married 48-year-old Swiss chef Daniel Humm last weekend, with Humm taking to Instagram on Tuesday to share the news. 'I don't know where to even begin but this past weekend I got to marry my soulmate,' he began a caption as he shared a photo of his now-wife in a white dress by Gabriela Hearst. The note to his one million followers continued, 'my best friend @gabrielahearst and her incredible team created this poetic dress that shares the same beauty of Annabelle, a beauty that seems to be from a different time.' Their engagement was announced in February via social media as Humm wrote online: 'When you know, you know. With you it's been so obvious @princesssummerfall.' Shortly before their nuptials, the gushing fiancé shared a photo kissing his bride-to-be and wrote, 'Next time we'll kiss we'll be married.' The wedding was officiated by Francesco Clemente and literary icon Fran Lebowitz was present as a witness. Annabelle and Daniel were initially linked in September when they were spotted sharing PDA at the U.S. Open. Humm is a Michelin-starred chef who presides over the fine dining Big Apple establishment Eleven Madison Park. He previously dated actress Demi Moore, and he was married once before to Geneen Wright, with whom he shares daughters Vivienne and Colette. The culinary extraordinaire also shares daughter Justine with ex-girlfriend Elaine Mathieu. In June he shared an image of his daughters with Annabelle on a beach, writing, 'Life never really ever made sense before YOU @princesssummerfall ! Thank you so much for the endless love you share with me and my daughters. Justine, Vivienne and Colette. Love you very BIG.' Justine took to the comments to say, 'I'm super happy for you - love you guys.' Humm wrote in his post revealing the engagement, 'Never did I imagine someone so special would exist, and you have shown me what true love is. Together, we will be on this journey forever on. Love you.' Dexter-Jones, who portrayed media heiress Naomi Pierce on the HBO hit series, was previously linked to artist Dan Colen, 46. The entertainer, who has also appeared on American Horror Story, was also formerly in a relationship with André Saraiva, 54, a prominent artist and businessman. She is the daughter of jewelry designer Ann Dexter-Jones and Foreigner musician Mick Jones. Annabelle is half-siblings, via her mother, with music producer Mark Ronson, DJ Samantha Ronson and fashion designer Charlotte Ronson.

NYC is among the happiest cities in the world—yes, we're shocked, too
When we think of a classic New York disposition, words like "curmudgeonly", "stern", "impatient" and "no f***s given" come to mind—more Fran Lebowitz than Phoebe Buffay. Imagine our surprise, then, when our not-so-fair city ended up on the Happy City Index 2025, a global study that ranks "cities based on the happiness of their citizens." Created by the London-based Institute for Quality of Life, the annual index evaluates 200 cities worldwide using 82 indicators across six major categories believed to have the most direct impact on overall happiness: governance, environment, economy, mobility, citizen well-being and health. Within those lead markers are 26 subcategories, noting important elements like green space, educational systems, inclusive policies, housing opportunities and access to culture, among others. The cities are then ranked and awarded either gold, silver or bronze status. And much to our delightful shock, New York City has earned gold status in this year's rankings, coming in at number 17 with 902 total points. (For comparison, Copenhagen, Denmark took the top spot of 2025's happiest city with 1,039 points.) NYC was praised for its vibrant cultural scene, its growing investment in sustainable infrastructure, its considerable civic engagement and its innovative spirit. Notably, New York is the only American city to crack the top 25 rankings, which is unsurprisingly dominated by progressive Scandinavian cities like Stockholm and Helsinki, picturesque European capitals like Zurich and Paris, and splashy Asian hubs like Seoul and Singapore. Check out how NYC stacks up among the top 25 happiest cities in the world below and see the full Happy City Index 2025 rankings here. 1. Copenhagen, Denmark: 1039 total points 2. Zurich, Switzerland: 993 total points 3. Singapore: 979 total points 4. Aarhus, Denmark: 958 total points 5. Antwerp, Belgium: 956 total points 6. Seoul, South Korea: 942 total points 7. Seven Weeks and Counting: The N.Y.C. Mayoral Primary Is Heating Up
This is The Sprint for City Hall, a limited-run series on the critical Democratic primary race for mayor. In seven weeks, New Yorkers will vote for the Democratic nominee for mayor. We're not big on public predictions, but you can bet on one thing: The incumbent, Mayor Eric Adams, will not win the primary. He is running as an independent in November and will not be on the June 24 ballot. (More on that in a bit.) That still leaves 11 Democrats in the primary race, and a mountain of policy papers, endorsements, retail politicking and, eventually, two debates, to digest. That's what we're here for. I'm Dean Chang, and I oversee a fantastic team of reporters covering the race. Each Tuesday through Primary Day, they'll be sharing a mix of news, observations, trends and campaign ephemera that might otherwise be overlooked. We'll start with a quick overview, move to some news, and get to Fran Lebowitz's ranked choices a bit further down. No surprise: She has thoughts.
