MUNICH, Germany, July 15, 2025 (EZ Newswire) -- Whether it's a weekend city break or a long-haul getaway, digital tools can help you save hundreds—even at the last minute. Five renowned comparison and service platforms share their best money-saving hacks for travelers. '0% FX Fees & Travel Cashback' The editors at opens new tab reviewed 26 travel and cashback credit cards. For fee-free spending abroad, they recommend cards like the TF Bank Mastercard Gold (no annual fee, 0% foreign transaction fees). Example: Lisa books her trips through the bank's partner network and earns up to €100 cashback on €2,000 in travel expenses. Plus, her card includes baggage insurance. 'Park Cheap, Not at Terminal Rates' Travelers can book airport parking from €51 for 8 days at Frankfurt Airport—just €6.73/day, far below the cost of terminal-adjacent spaces. 'Many operators offer secure parking just outside the city and include shuttle service in the price. It's a low-cost, safe solution for your car while you travel,' says Nils Ravenhorst of opens new tab. Example – the Becker family: 8 days of parking for €51 instead of €163.80 – a savings of nearly €102. (Price check: July 14–21, 2025 – Parkport vs. Parking Garage P2 or P3 at Frankfurt Airport) 'Free Culture & Expat Insider Tips' The expat portal opens new tab highlights in its current Cost-of-Living Guide that many German cities offer year-round free cultural activities. Berlin alone boasts over 30 permanently free museums, including Futurium, the German Dome, and the Allied Museum. While the national 'Museum Sunday' initiative ended in December 2024, travelers can still enjoy serious savings thanks to free-entry museums and complimentary city tours. Example – 'Marco from Madrid': Ten free attractions in Berlin and Hamburg save him around €80 in admission fees—money he can put toward other travel experiences. Example – Prague getaway: €49 per person including hotel, versus the regular €169 – a 70% discount. Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner: Lufthansa flight lands in Hyderabad 22 hours late; following bomb threat
HYDERABAD: Passengers on the Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt to Hyderabad, which was forced to turn around and return to Frankfurt Airport on Sunday evening due to a bomb threat, arrived at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport on Monday night, 22 hours behind schedule. Flight LH752, a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, was scheduled to depart at 1:30pm on Sunday, arriving at RGIA at 1:20 am on Monday. Much to their inconvenience, however, the passengers arrived at RGIA at 11.30pm on Monday. The situation arose after an email targeting Lufthansa flight LH752 was received at Hyderabad airport at 6:01 pm on Sunday. According to airport authorities, a bomb threat assessment committee was formed and all procedures were followed as per SOP. For safety reasons, the airline was advised to divert to the original airport or the nearest suitable airport. The Lufthansa flight from Frankfurt to Hyderabad predominantly carried North American travellers, most of whom were from the US and Canada and were using Frankfurt as their layover point. The passengers said they were unaware of the aircraft's change in direction during the flight and only discovered the diversion upon returning to their point of departure. They learned the details of the incident through news reports.

Hyd -bound Lufthansa flight diverted over bomb threat
London/Hyderabad: A Hyderabad-bound Lufthansa flight made a U-turn and landed back at Frankfurt airport late on Sunday due to a bomb threat, said sources. The bomb threat was received about two hours after Flight LH752 took off from Germany at 2.14 pm local time on Sunday. It was scheduled to land at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport early Monday. However, the passengers were told that the flight was not given 'permission to land' in India. Flight LH752 departed from Germany around 14.14 local time on Sunday and was scheduled to land at Hyderabad's Rajiv Gandhi International Airport early Monday but flight tracker data showed a diversion a few hours into the flight. A passenger on board the flight said from Frankfurt Airport that they were being provided overnight accommodation as their flight was rescheduled for Monday morning. 'We just landed back in Frankfurt around 15 minutes ago and all we were told is that Hyderabad hasn't given permission to land the flight there,' said the female passenger en route from the US to visit her mother in Hyderabad. 'It was a smooth flight and after about two hours in the air, we were told that we would be returning to Frankfurt. Now at the airport, they are providing us accommodation for the night and have told us that we will fly out later by the same flight,' she said. There was no immediate comments from authorities in Hyderabad. While Lufthansa has been approached for further updates and reasons behind the aborted flight, a Frankfurt Airport spokesperson confirmed that LH752 had landed back in Germany. 'We can confirm that there was a return to Frankfurt Airport. For further information, please contact the Federal Police or the airline,' the spokesperson said. Lufthansa's live flight tracker on its website showed LH752 landed back at Frankfurt around 1730 local time. According to the website, the aircraft is a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. Earlier tracker data for the flight showing it was en route to Hyderabad was updated just before the updated landing information for Frankfurt. The flight tracker website also reflected similar information, though the exact reasons behind the diversion remain unestablished. Air Traffic Control (ATC) at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport received a message that the flight was returning to Frankfurt a short while after it had taken off from the German hub airport.

'Bomb threat' diverted Lufthansa flight lands at Hyderabad from Frankfurt
A Lufthansa flight to Hyderabad that was forced to make a U-turn and return to land at Frankfurt Airport due to a bomb threat landed in the Telangana capital on Monday night local time. A passenger on board told PTI that the plane had landed safely, with the pilot apologising for the inconvenience caused by the delay due to matters beyond their control. "The flight took off and is expected to land at 23:18 hrs, Lufthansa said in response to a query earlier. Flight tracker website data showed Sunday's aborted flight en route to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad. Flight LH752 had earlier departed from Germany on Sunday afternoon local time and was scheduled to land at the Hyderabad airport in the early hours of Monday, but Lufthansa said it had to be turned around over a bomb threat, with passengers provided overnight accommodation. "Out of an abundance of caution, Lufthansa flight LH752 from Frankfurt to Hyderabad returned to its point of departure after authorities were made aware of a bomb threat posted on social media, Lufthansa said in a statement. The safety of our passengers and crew is Lufthansa's highest priority. Affected passengers were provided with accommodation in Frankfurt and will be continuing their journey to Hyderabad today, the statement said. Airport sources in Hyderabad had said that a bomb threat email targeting Lufthansa flight LH752 was received at the Hyderabad airport at 18:01 hrs on 15th June 2025. They said a bomb threat assessment committee was formed and all procedures were followed as per standard operating procedure. In the interest of safety, the airline was advised to divert back to the origin or the nearest suitable airport. The Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner's return mid-air came as a Chennai-bound British Airways Flight BA35, also a Dreamliner, returned to London Heathrow Airport on Sunday over a technical issue. The aircraft returned to Heathrow as a standard precaution after reports of a technical issue, British Airways said in a statement. The flight landed safely with crew and customers disembarking as they normally would, and our teams worked hard to get their journeys back on track as soon as possible, the statement added. Airline sources highlighted that this was an emergency landing and that it is not unusual for an aircraft to return to its origin if there are reports of any technical issues. On Sunday, a passenger on board the Hyderabad-bound flight told PTI from Frankfurt Airport that they were told that Hyderabad hasn't given permission to land the flight there. It was a smooth flight and after about two hours in the air, we were told that we would be returning to Frankfurt, said the passenger on her way from the US to visit her mother in Hyderabad. She confirmed on Monday morning that passengers were proceeding to check in for the rescheduled flight. A Frankfurt Airport spokesperson confirmed that LH752 had landed back in Germany and Air Traffic Control (ATC) at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport received a message that the flight was returning to Frankfurt a short while after it had taken off from the German hub airport. The flight's bomb scare follows a Delhi-bound Air India Airbus A320 flight being forced to return to Phuket Airport for an emergency landing back in Thailand following a bomb threat on Friday. It comes after Air India Flight AI171 Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner en route to London Gatwick Airport crashed shortly after take-off from Ahmedabad on Thursday, killing all but one of its 242 passengers and crew on board. The death toll from the crash rose to 270 over the weekend after the aircraft crashed into an inhabited area of the city.
