Museum of Ice Cream is giving away free ice cream this Sunday on July 20, 2025
If you missed Ben & Jerry's Free Cone Day in April, here's your chance to redeem yourself. Museum of Ice Cream (MOIC) – the pretty pink ice cream museum and parlour at Dempsey – is giving away free ice cream this coming Sunday for National Ice Cream Day. The offer is available for one day only on July 20, from 10am to 6pm. There are no hidden T&Cs, simply waltz up to the Dessert Bar and claim your free cone. 12 signature flavours are available while stocks last, and these include peanut butter banana, cotton candy bubblegum and dairy-free options like mango passionfruit sorbet to cater to dietary restrictions. Thinking of bringing the furkids out? The Dessert Bar is pet-friendly as well. And for this Sunday only, MOIC is partnering with Nutrivore to give away free pet-friendly scoops for the first 50 pups of the day – all you have to do is follow Nutrivore on Instagram. There will also be booths at the venue where guests can explore Nutrivore's range of pet treats and meals.

Unilever has appointed a new CEO to lead Ben & Jerry's as its battle over the ice cream brand's lefty politics heats up, according to a report Friday. Jochanan Senf, a Dutch Unilever executive who previously managed Ben & Jerry's Europe business, will start in the new role this month after the British parent company abruptly axed former CEO David Stever, according to the Wall Street Journal. In a court filing in March, Ben & Jerry's independent board — which manages the Vermont-based company's social activism and mission — had accused Unilever of firing Stever, who started as a tour guide for the brand's Waterbury factory in 1988. Ben & Jerry's The board — which was created and given power over management as a stipulation in the acquisition agreement when Unilever took over the company in 2000 — was not allowed to interview candidates to replace Stever, a source familiar with the matter told the Journal. The board also was excluded from the appointment process over the board's political activism – including support for anti-Trump policies and protests against Israel's handling of the war in Gaza, according to the report that cited unnamed sources. Advertisement 'Any claims that the Independent Board was excluded from the search process are simply incorrect – they have been offered to participate in good faith and to share their views, but declined to do so,' a spokesperson for the Magnum Ice Cream Company told The Post in a statement. Ben & Jerry's did not immediately respond to The Post's requests for comment. The company 'took every step to collaborate in good faith' with the board throughout the appointment process, Peter ter Kulve, who runs Unilever's ice cream unit, wrote in a memo to staff on Thursday, according to the Journal. Unilever is planning to spin off its ice cream unit this year, renamed the Magnum Ice Cream Company. It may still be a brisk 40 degrees in Milwaukee, but if you're feeling like ice cream, you can get it for free at Ben & Jerry's on Tuesday. The Vermont-based company is celebrating its annual Free Cone Day, where customers can receive a free ice cream cone all day long. The tradition dates back to 1979, a year after Ben & Jerry's was established. This year, Milwaukeeans can celebrate it for the first time, with the first and only Ben & Jerry's in Wisconsin opening last summer. "We want to thank our fans for being the best fans in the world with free ice cream and a moment of pure joy,' Dave Stever, Ben & Jerry's CEO, said in a news release. 'This year, more than ever, we're reminded how powerful those small moments of happiness can be." Here's what to know about Free Cone Day in Milwaukee. Free Cone Day is on Tuesday, April 8 from 12 to 8 p.m. Customers may redeem one, free Ben & Jerry's scoop of their choice,cone included, at any participating Ben & Jerry's Scoop Shop on Free Cone Day.
