McAlister's is giving away sweet teas. Here's how to get a free cup
McAlister's Deli is bringing back its annual Free Tea Day.
On Thursday, July 17, customers can get a free 32-ounce cup of McAlister's sweet tea and other beverages at participating locations nationwide, according to the Atlanta-based deli.
No purchase is required.
Each cup is brewed with orange pekoe lack tea leaves, sweetened with cane sugar and poured over ice, McAlister's website says.
'We take the perfect amount of tea and combine it with the perfect amount of ice, top it with an over-sized lemon wedge and then serve it up with our iconic extra-wide red straw,' the restaurant said.
The one-day giveaway includes unsweetened tea, sweet-unsweetened tea, tea-lemonade and flavored teas.
The first Free Tea Day was in 2009, celebrating the restaurant's 'signature drink,' according to a news release. Founded in 1989 in Oxford, Mississippi, the chain has become known for its sandwiches, spuds and salads.
Today, McAlister's Deli operates more than 500 restaurants in 28 states, the restaurant's website says.
Free teas are limited to one per person in-store, and four per order for online and app orders, McAlister's said. Orders placed on third-party apps are excluded, however.
Additional information wasn't immediately available.
