Inside the romance between footy star, 23, and another big name in Aussie sport - who's 10 years older than him
Fremantle Dockers star Luke Jackson's relationship with netball star turned TV commentator Kelsey Browne is still going strong, with the couple sharing a loved-up photo to social media after his team's biggest win of the year. The AFL star, 23, hard-launched his relationship with the former West Coast Fever star, 33, in September last year while on a romantic holiday in Mauritius. The romantic revelation came about as Browne took on a new role as a club ambassador for the Fever. Jackson starred for the Dockers over the weekend, kicking a late long-range goal in the fourth quarter to help his side beat Collingwood by a point at the MCG. Browne was on hand for the victory celebrations, with the couple both posting a photo of themselves embracing in the sheds after the match as she looked smitten with her man. 'Great photo of a great couple,' replied one footy fan. 'Winning on and off the field,' said another. 'We love to see it,' posted a third. Rumours about the couple hooking up first surfaced in July last year when Browne posted a TikTok video showing her engaging in her 'fave nightly ritual' as she stood in a backyard pool while wearing a heavy jacket. That took on new meaning when footy fans realised that pool was in a post Jackson made on Instagram last May, showing him cooking on a barbecue. Then, in August last year, they were seen together in a photo the Fever posted from the team's annual awards night. Browne and Jackson also posted sots of the same bath on the deck of a cabin in Busselton, a popular holiday spot about 200km south of Perth. Earlier this year, rumours circulated that Jackson might be looking to move to a Victorian club, despite being contracted with Fremantle until 2029. Channel Seven reporter Mitch Cleary reported that the couple were interested in heading to Victoria, where Browne is originally from and her family is still based. However, Dockers coach Justin Longmuir poured cold water on the speculation. 'Not a concern. Nothing I've seen of Luke throughout the pre-season has shown me he wants to leave the club,' Longmuir said. 'Someone from the club has spoken to him already and he's reiterated that he doesn't want to go anywhere and he's never been happier. 'We'll leave it at that, I reckon.' Browne, who currently works as a commentator for the NBL, was one of the country's top attacking players during her career, winning two premierships with the Lightning and going on to represent the nation internationally. A Geelong native, she comes from a sporting family, with her dad Mark playing for the Cats in the 1970s and her sister Madison going on to be one of the nation's most successful netball players.

Ex-AFL player is hit with shocking new charges after allegedly attacking his MAFS star ex-girlfriend and 'almost killing her'
Former Fremantle Dockers player Ryan Crowley is facing six new domestic violence charges, with prosecutors alleging he attacked his ex-girlfriend 'to the point of almost killing her'. The 41-year-old appeared in Perth Magistrates Court on Tuesday over the historical charges, which are alleged to have taken place between 2019 and 2020. Mr Crowley was charged with one count of unlawful assault and one count of threatening to kill. Those charges are alleged to have taken place in September 2019. He is also facing one count of unlawful assault, one count of intention to harm, a count of deprivation of liberty and another count of deprivation of liberty in circumstances of aggravation. Those charges allegedly took place in March 2020. Five of the alleged offences were committed against his former girlfriend, Ms Lauren Dunn, a reality television star who appeared on the popular show Married at First Sight. The final charge relates to the alleged abuse of a separate woman. It is the second time in the space of two months that the former AFL player has appeared in court over domestic violence charges. Mr Crowley was granted bail in May after appearing in Perth Magistrates Court for nine separate domestic violence allegations, which relate to an alleged incident that took place in 2025 and also allegedly involved Ms Dunn. In relation to the historical charges, the court heard on Tuesday that Mr Crowley and Ms Dunn's relationship had taken place between 2018 and 2023. It was described as 'toxic' and 'highly volatile'. Ms Dunn has since left Western Australia to live in New South Wales but is understood to return to WA regularly for work. The police prosecutor told the Perth court that one witness had allegedly seen Mr Crowley assault Ms Dunn in 2020 'to the point of almost killing her'. The witness had 'expressed their concerns' as a result. The prosecutor said: 'The accused has shown a propensity for violence.' They added that Ms Dunn had received messages from Mr Crowley's friends, telling the former Married at First Sight star that they had seen videos of her that had allegedly shown her in a 'compromising' situation. The court also heard how Ms Dunn, who has over 245,000 followers on Instagram, had allegedly received messages from social media users, who had accused her of being a 'liar' and a 'psycho'. Crowley's legal counsel confirmed that he will plead not guilty to all of the charges. However, Magistrate Langdon told the court that should he be found guilty of all the charges he would be facing an immediate prison sentence. 'If you were convicted, you would be looking at an immediate custodial term,' Magistrate Langdon said. The Magistrate also granted Mr Crowley bail, despite opposition from prosecutors. Bail was granted subject to several conditions. One of those includes a $40,000 surety. His lawyers argued that there was 'zero basis' Mr Crowley wouldn't comply with his bail conditions, arguing that his Type One Diabetes would 'be difficult to maintain in custody'. Defence lawyers for Mr Crowley explained: 'He already suffered low blood sugar overnight … (the prison officers) only gave him an apple.' The conditions require Mr Crowley to surrender his passport, report to Northbridge Police Station twice a week, not go within 200m of Ms Dunn and remain in Western Australia. Mr Crowley retired from professional football back in 2016, having played for both Fremantle and Essendon. He will return to court on November 11.

Ryan Crowley, former Fremantle Dockers player, hit with more domestic violence charges against ex-partner
Former Fremantle Dockers player Ryan Crowley has appeared in a Perth court facing historical charges of assault, threatening to kill, and deprivation of liberty. Five of the six new offences relate to his former partner, and one count of deprivation of liberty is against another woman. It is the second time in less than two months Mr Crowley has appeared in court accused of multiple violent offences. All of those original charges were also against his former partner of five years. Mr Crowley was granted bail today by Magistrate Elizabeth Langdon despite the opposition of the police prosecution, which said he was a high risk of reoffending and due to his "propensity of violence towards the complainant". Bail was given on condition of a $40,000 surety and that he not contact either of the two women, he surrender his passport, not leave Western Australia, and report to police twice a week. His lawyer Mark Andrews told the court his client intended to plead not guilty to all the charges. Magistrate Langdon said she also granted bail because of the lengthy time it would take for the matters to get to trial, and because custody would be a greater ordeal for Mr Crowley due to his type one diabetes. But she warmed Mr Crowley if he was found guilty of all the charges he would face an immediate custodial sentence. In May, Mr Crowley had appeared in court in relation to different assault and deprivation of liberty charges. It was alleged at the time the 41-year-old choked and threatened a woman in the western Perth suburb of Claremont. In May, Mr Crowley was granted bail under strict conditions, which include reporting to police twice a week and not leaving the state. The new but historical charges he appeared in court for on Tuesday are one count of unlawful assault, and one count of threatening to kill, allegedly occurring in the Perth suburb of West Leederville on September 21, 2019. A further count of unlawful assault was from March 2020. He was also charged with intent to harm, deprivation of liberty and deprivation of liberty in circumstances of aggravation from March 2020. The first set of charges relating to the May court appearance included impeding the woman's breathing by applying pressure to her neck, making threats, unlawfully using a computer and deprivation of liberty in circumstances of aggravation. Mr Crowley played 188 games for the Dockers between 2003 and 2015, including the 2013 grand final which Fremantle lost to Hawthorn. He was later recruited by Essendon to help the club field a side while 34 of its players were suspended for the year, following its infamous supplements scandal. He was routinely used as a tagger, trying to limit the influence of the opposition's most dangerous midfielder. In 2015 he was suspended for 12 months by the AFL Anti-Doping Tribunal after he tested positive to a "specified" substance the previous year. At a media conference, then Fremantle CEO Steve Rosich confirmed the substance was contained in a painkiller which had not been not prescribed by a Fremantle doctor. He is due back in court on November 11 in relation to all the charges.

Andrew Brayshaw's touching tribute to brother Angus
Fremantle's Andrew Brayshaw made it a family affair on Sunday at the MCG as he ran out onto the MCG wearing his older brother's helmet. Angus was forced to medically retire from the game ahead of the 2024 season due to multiple head injuries. FOX FOOTY, available on Kayo Sports, is the only place to watch every match of every round in the 2025 Toyota AFL Premiership Season LIVE in 4K, with no ad-breaks during play. New to Kayo? The premiership winning Melbourne star wore a helmet throughout the final years of his career, but was forced to hang up the boots after his latest concussion against Collingwood in the 2023 qualifying final. On Sunday it was Andrew's turn to don the headwear with the Dockers star needing the helmet to protect the 10 stitches he had in his head after last weekend's clash against Hawthorn. The post-game scenes quickly went viral with Andrew chatting with Fox's Kath Loughnan despite blood pouring down the side of his face. 'I'll be wearing my brother's old helmet today so I'll be right to go,' Andrew said on Channel 7's coverage on Sunday. The ABC's Ben Cameron noted the helmet was a variation on the one Angus used to wear and was obviously not in the same red and blue colourway. The clash between the two sides has huge ramifications with Fremantle having not beaten Collingwood at the MCG since round 11, 2019. The currently eighth placed Dockers can move two games clear of the ninth placed Western Bulldogs with a win. For Collingwood they can extend their lead atop the ladder to six points with a victory and move closer to locking up a top-two finish.
