French Bulldog Damages Home To Ensure He Can Enjoy 'Best Life' in Yard

A viral video showing the extreme lengths a French bulldog will go to in order to play outside in the rain has left the internet in stitches. Dogs aren't always keen on going outside in the rain, but one French bulldog will do just about anything to run around in it. The dog's antics left his owner, Brit Orndorff, stunned, as she captured a video showing just how far he went to have his moment in the downpour. During the video, which was shared on TikTok (@brit_orndorff) on July 12, the owner shows the perfect Frenchie sized hole that he'd burrowed into the screen door. It was evidently in his way and he didn't mind tearing a hole through it to reach the outside. Upon discovering how her dog had escaped into the yard, Orndorff filmed him leaping around on the deck and practically dancing in the rain. Indeed, the Frenchie couldn't have looked happier, leaving his owner joking that he was "just living his best life, any way possible." LightFieldStudios/Getty Images In the days since the video was shared on TikTok, it has delighted social media users who can't get enough of the dog's antics. This has led to the viral video generating over 113,700 views and more than 12,300 likes on TikTok at the time of writing. Newsweek has contacted @brit_orndorff via TikTok for comment. We could not verify the details of the video. Thankfully, Orndorff was able to laugh at her dog's mischief as she wrote on TikTok that he's "so lucky he's cute." Meanwhile, her two other Frenchies couldn't be more different as they straight up "refuse to go out" when it's raining. Many French bulldog owners will be familiar with this chaotic energy, as the website PetMD suggests that the breed is fun-loving with very outgoing personalities. They are known for being curious and love being the center of attention, so this pup's antics appear to be very on brand. Since the video went viral, internet users have lauded the French bulldog for just living his best life and not caring about the rules. This has led to more than 570 comments on the TikTok post, as many defended the cheeky pup. One comment reads: "He just wanted his main character moment in the rain." Another TikTok user wrote: "He said it's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission." Another person joked: "those sliding screens are wonderful in concept, but are not built to withstand a dog that REALLY wants to go outside." While one commenter added: "You can tell he had 0 regrets." Do you have funny and adorable videos or pictures of your pet you want to share? We want to see the best ones! These two dog breeds are in danger due to health problems

These two dog breeds are in danger due to health problems There is a new top dog on the list as some of the most popular breeds fall out of flavour due to concerns A third preferred the face of a cockapoo over other breeds when given a choice (Image: Getty Images/iStockphoto ) People appear to be falling out of love with flat-faced dogs as awareness grows about the health problems of pugs and French bulldogs. Research conducted for Burns Pet Nutrition suggested the new designer dog of choice is the cockapoo. The crossbreeds topped a poll of 2,000 dog-lovers who were asked to select their favourite face of a pooch. ‌ A third preferred the face of a cockapoo over other breeds when given a choice – while just a handful opted for French bulldogs (6%) and pugs (4%). ‌ Huskies were the second most popular breed, with their face chosen by a fifth of respondents while Staffordshire bull terriers were the third at 15%. The findings follow a Frenchie winning the Utility Group at Crufts this year – a result that left many dog-lovers unhappy that a breed with many known health problems claimed the title. French bulldogs are predisposed to problems with their eyes, skin, bones and breathing, and pugs are equally associated with a raft of health issues. A poll in June last year placed Frenchies joint top of the table with Cockapoos as the nation's favourite breed. Article continues below But the new research suggests the popularity of flat-faced breeds could now be on the decline. Laura Crotch-Harvey, Nutrition Manager at Burns Pet Nutrition said: "While they may look very cute, in reality French bulldogs and other flat-nose breeds can be prone to more medical issues than the majority of breeds. "The majority of these problems have been made worse by backyard breeders and people who don't health test – but there are many good breeders who do care and do health test their dogs. "If you're considering bringing a dog into your home, make sure you do your research on the breed and the breeder, ensuring they are health tested. ‌ "And it's also vital to make sure you have the funds for any medical conditions that may not be covered by your pet insurance. "This is commonplace with short-nose breeds. When it comes to crossbreeds, unlike pedigrees, where you know what type of coat, temperament and mental stimulation your dog needs, it can be more of a gamble with what you get. "The temperament of a cocker spaniel is very different to that of a poodle. Article continues below "However, mixing breeds together has its benefits. Crossbreed dogs can be healthier as they are not as likely to be bred just for their appearance. Moving towards breeding for health and not the appearance of the dog is what we want in an ideal world. "When considering getting a crossbreed puppy or dog, it is important to do your homework on both breeds and be prepared for the best or worst of both to make sure it suits your lifestyle, and you can cater to that dog's needs. "It's essential to thoroughly research any breeds and consult with breeders and rescue centres to find the most suitable dog for you."

Snoop Dogg Says Goodbye To His Longtime Companion In Emotional Post

is saying goodbye to one of his closest companions. The 53-year-old rap legend revealed on Thursday that his cherished French Bulldog, Juelz, has passed away after spending nearly 11 years by his side. Snoop Dogg took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news, posting a touching slideshow of photos and videos featuring the tiny pup over the years. "Miss my dogg @juelzbroadus," he captioned the tribute, which instantly had fans flooding the comments with condolences. Juelz wasn't just a pet. He was family. The adorable Frenchie was a birthday gift from fellow rapper and close friend back in 2014, when Snoop turned 43. Their bond quickly became unbreakable, with Juelz joining Snoop's pack of pets and becoming a perfect complement to his other French Bulldog, Frank. In a follow-up post, the "Drop It Like It's Hot" hitmaker gave thanks to Wiz, writing, "Rip @juelzbroadus [crying emoji] thank wiz for giving him to me [red rose emoji] [dove emoji]." Fans quickly flooded Snoop's post with messages of love and support, many of them sharing their own experiences with the deep pain of losing a beloved pet. "My guy, losing a dog is worse than losing a person… I said it," one of Snoop Dogg's followers wrote, summing up the emotional weight felt by many. Another added, "I have 3 Frenchies and I dread the day God wants them home. I'm so sorry for your loss." The heartbreak was especially real for fellow Frenchie owners, with one fan commenting, "As a Frenchie mum, my heart is breaking for you," while another shared, "Losing our fur kids is losing a family member." The outpouring of compassion was a testament to just how loved Juelz was, not only by Snoop's inner circle but by fans across the globe who had grown to adore the tiny pup over the years. Over the years, Juelz earned his own fanbase, even starring on his own Instagram account where Snoop shared countless snaps of the stylish pup's day-to-day antics. Though the posts slowed in recent years, the last one appearing in June 2021, Juelz remained a beloved member of the Broadus household. Juelz is by far the only animal Snoop has had. In addition to Juelz and Frank, Snoop Dogg also owned pit bulls Lil Snoop and Mamba, as well as Siamese cats named Miles Davis and Frank Sinatra. But Juelz may have been his most well-known furry friend, thanks to his public presence and personality. Fans may recall the scare back in January 2022 when Frank, Snoop's other Frenchie, went missing. The rapper launched a full-blown social media campaign to find him, posting flyers and asking for help. Thankfully, a kind couple in Los Angeles located Frank and helped reunite him with his family just days later. "I want to thank y'all for returning the dog back to us. We appreciate that. Frank made his way back home," Snoop said in an Instagram video at the time. "We appreciate all the love and support we got on Instagram to get the dog back. And to the lovely couple that brought the dog back, I've got some gifts for y'all for looking out." Snoop Dogg's love for animals has always been front and center, and it extends far beyond his own pets. In fact, the rap legend has proudly worn the title of Coach Snoop at Puppy Bowl XVIII, where he teamed up with longtime friend to co-host the beloved annual event. Snoop took the reins as coach of Team Fluff, while Martha led Team Ruff, with both stars championing adoptable pups from shelters across the country. Now, as Snoop Dogg grieves the loss of Juelz, he's once again leaning on his fans and followers for support, and honoring a dog who brought nearly a decade of love, laughs, and loyalty. Rest in peace, Juelz.

Au revoir Pornhub! Adult site pulls out of France, sending users into a frenzy

Adult media giant Pornhub said au revoir to France Wednesday after fighting with its government over new age verification rules — sending the country of love into a frenzy. The law now requires users to upload a photo ID to access adult websites, instead of just clicking on a button that says they're 18. Critics argued there are less invasive ways to keep children out of porn. Advertisement 5 This is the image French visitors to Pornhub see since Wednesday. Obtained by the New York Post So in place of videos of porn, French users who visit Pornhub are now greeted by a topless Marianne — the symbolic representation of the republic's ideals of liberty, equality, and fraternity — and the phrase 'freedom doesn't have an off button.' And Frenchies are losing it. Advertisement 'Another attack on freedom. What's next?' raged Loire Valley resident Enguerran Richy on social media. 'And then we give lessons in democracy to other countries,' snarked Paris resident Maxime Fontanier. The famously libertine French were the second biggest Pornhub consumers last year – trailing only the US. 5 Many in France think the government is overreaching. Jack Forbes / NY Post Design Advertisement French President Emmanual Macron — who notoriously had an affair with his wife Brigitte when he was a 15-year-old schoolboy and she was his much older, married drama teacher — had been pushing hard for the law, arguing French boys get into porn at a young age. More than half of France's 12-year-old boys visit porn sites, according to an investigation released Tuesday by the country's regulatory authority for audiovisual and digital communications. Eva Hicks, who goes by the screen name Little Angel and was the top porn star on the site in France in 2024, says the move will just push adult content creators to post X-rated videos on social media instead. 5 Macron, who met now wife Brigitte when he was a 15-year-old schoolboy, was a big proponent of banning porn for minors. AFP via Getty Images Advertisement 'These are platforms accessible to minors, which is precisely the problem our government was trying to solve,' Hicks told The Post. 'There's a clear contradiction here.' 'Removing access to specialized platforms actually encourages the trivialization of pornography on mainstream social media.' 5 Hicks, known as Little Angel, was the top porn star on Pornhub in France in 2024. Little Angel/ Instagram Others found a fairly easy workaround. 'A VPN app and it'll be like they peed in the wind,' said Toulouse's Julien Carlot-Meunier. And he was right — it took a mere 30 minutes after Pornhub blocked access for one of the leading VPN providers to see sign-ups jump an astronomical 1,000%. 'This is more than when TikTok blocked Americans,' Proton VPN posted on X. The Canadian-owned porn conglomerate blasted the new government regulations as 'unreasonable, disproportionate and ineffective.' Advertisement 5 Hicks said the ban will just push many adult content creators to post on social media instead. Little Angel/ Instagram 'We built Proton VPN to help people in authoritarian countries with online censorship, an access gateway for porn was obviously not what we had in mind, but VPN can be used in this way,' a Proton spokesperson admitted to The Post. Meanwhile, French authorities — who engaged in a fiery exchange with Pornhub all week — were thrilled. 'Good riddance!' fumed French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot. Advertisement 'Less violent, degrading, and humiliating content accessible to minors in France. Goodbye!' ranted Equality Minister Aurore Bergé. The most searched term on the platform had been 'française' — the feminine version of the word French — meaning users were mostly interested in watching their own countrywomen in action. 'MILF,' 'mature woman' and 'woman with glasses' were also popular searches.

First responders the hit of 30th annual Balboa Island Parade, USC mascot brings up the rear in surprise

With a light marine layer providing relief from the sun, the 30th annual Balboa Island parade Sunday drew an estimated 5,000 people, a crowd that parade co-chair Jack Callahan attributed in part to the theme, 'A Tribute to Our First Responders.' Firefighters, police, paramedics, harbor patrol personnel and lifeguards were the honorees, applauded with enthusiasm by parade-goers. 'This year's Balboa Island Parade was our most successful one yet,' said Callahan, who co-chaired the event with Gail Vasterling for the Balboa Island Improvement Assn.. 'For 30 fun-filled years the parade has been an important part of life on Balboa Island.' 'The parade honors not just our firefighters and all of the first responders, but everyone in the community,' said Newport Beach Fire Chief Jeff Boyles, the parade's grand marshal. He acknowledged fire station No. 4, which opened the same year as the first parade, as an important community landmark. 'We appreciate and thank the residents of Balboa Island and Newport Beach for 30 incredible years and we look forward to many more,' Boyles said. Newport Beach resident Tracy Davis with her granddaughter Eva, who loves seeing the Frenchies and pugs passing by in the parade, had a ringside seat on the bridge Sunday. There was a lot for them to see, considering there were 99 entries in the two-hour-long extravaganza, according to organizers. 'It's our absolute favorite parade,' Davis said as the parade was getting underway. 'I can't wait to honor our first responders.' The promised 'four-legged surprise guest' this year was none other than Traveler, the majestic white horse mascot for USC who was the grand finale.
