Insider view on Ambrosino as Celtic interest turns his head
There is also strong interest in the Italy under-21 forward – who spent last season on loan with Frosinone – from Italian outfit Cagliari, but Celtic's bid to land him on a loan deal with an option to buy has piqued the interest of the 21-year-old. That is the view of Italian journalist Stefano Sorce of DerbyDerbyDerby, who has likened Ambrosino to Spanish international striker Alvaro Morato due to his clean technical ability and willingness to drop off to link with his teammates. 'Another good comparison would be with fellow Italian Giacomo Raspadori, who he shares some traits with, though he has a bit more physical presence and is slightly less explosive than his Napoli teammate. 'Ambrosino has already given his approval for a transfer to Cagliari, showing a clear preference for the Rossoblù club. However, recent interest from Celtic could change the scenario and might make him lean toward the Scottish club instead.' Some of Ambrosino's other key qualities are sure to excite the Celtic support, and Sorce believes that if he should come to Glasgow, he will do so with a point to prove. Having represented Italy at various youth levels, Ambrosino is looking to show that he can be a future striker for the Azzuri at full international level, and he sees this campaign as a crucial one in that regard. 'Ambrosino has represented Italy at several youth levels, including U19, U20, and U21,' he said. 'He contributed to Italy winning the U20 Elite League and scored at the U20 World Cup in Argentina, where Italy finished second. 'While it is probably still early for him to break into the senior national team, this upcoming season will be very important for his development and future chances. 'He is known for his technique and vision. Ambrosino is a technically skilled player with good first touch and game awareness, enabling him to be actively involved in offensive plays. 'He is also an excellent free-kick taker with a powerful and precise shot, while he effectively uses both feet, making him unpredictable for defenders. 'Despite his height, he is also agile and is good at shielding the ball.'

Celtic eye Napoli striker but face 'stiff competition'
The Scottish champions are keen on Napoli's 21-year-old striker, Giuseppe Ambrosino, who scored five goals on loan at Frosinone last season. However, SportMediaset reports that Celtic face "stiff competition" this summer to secure his signature. Napoli are expected to let Ambrosino leave on another loan deal, with an option to buy. The Under 17's beat Juventus 4-2 in the Scudetto Semi-Final and will now play in the final, on Friday 20 June at Stadio Benito Stirpe in Frosinone, against Torino. A brilliant performance from Giovanni Renna's side who took their chances and defended well, showing signs of being a developed group once again. The Rossoneri did not disappoint: Pandolfi, Lontani, Tartaglia and La Mantia all scored, to round off a perfect evening. The Under 17's journey tells the story of a solid team, capable of playing an attacking brand of football while remaining organised, showing quality and sacrifice. Coach Renna's side secured concrete results and showed collective growth, which was shown in the final stages of the season. Now, it's time for the clash against Torino. The Granata defeated Udinese in the Semi-Final and are a tough opponent for AC Milan in Frosinone. Salernitana have won their appeal to have the Serie B relegation playout match with Sampdoria moved to June 22 after a massive food poisoning outbreak. The first leg had already been played last Sunday, with Sampdoria winning 2-0 at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.
