WNBA's Paige Bueckers Confirms Relationship With Azzi Fudd, Social Media Salutes
Source: The Hapa Blonde / Getty Number one 2025 WNBA draft pick Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd were teammates at women's basketball powerhouse UConn, which took the natty this year. While they were viewed by the outside world as best friends, many women's hoops fans thought it might be more than that. Speculation only ramped up when Fudd sat at Buecker's family table on draft night. Other clues followed. Fudd, 23, who remains at UConn for a final year as a graduate student, posted a video last month that suggested the two were together, following a popular TikTok trend about dating. It showed Bueckers, 23, at a restaurant with Fudd, seemingly okay paying for an expensive date. Not long after that, Fudd was captured on her IG Story with a phone case that said 'Paige Bueckers' girlfriend.' But just before the WNBA All-Star Game, taking place on Saturday at Indianapolis' Gainbridge Fieldhouse, where the Indiana Fever and its superstar Caitlin Clark play, Bueckers finally made things 'IG official.' In an interview with WagTalk, Bueckers was asked a series of questions about her Division 1 girlfriend. Though she stumbled on the question about what team Azzi's mother, Katie Smrcka Duffy-Fudd, was drafted to (correct answer – the Sacramento Monarchs in 2001) she answered all the rest correctly and confirmed Fudd as her girlfriend in the reveal. So now the internet speculation can turn to numerous social accounts breathlessly covering the couple's every move, but this time with a confirmation. And WNBA fans were ecstatic about the couple finally coming forward unapologetically, responding to the video with enthusiasm and praise for WagTalk creator, Maddy. Bueckers played in her first All-Star Game, which will be broadcast and streamed from Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Saturday, July 19 at 8:30 p.m. EST on Disney+, ESPN+ and ABC. See social media's response to the couple finally going public below. WNBA's Paige Bueckers Confirms Relationship With Azzi Fudd, Social Media Salutes was originally published on

Unrivaled announces NIL deals with 14 college players, including JuJu Watkins and Hannah Hidalgo
INDIANAPOLIS — JuJu Watkins, Flau'Jae Johnson and Azzi Fudd are among 14 top women's college basketball players signing NIL deals with Unrivaled, the league announced Saturday. It's the second consecutive year the 3-on-3 league that Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart founded has had name, image and likeness deals with college players. In it's inaugural season, Unrivaled had deals with Paige Bueckers and Johnson. Watkins, who plays for USC but is sidelined with an ACL injury, has been involved with Unrivaled as an investor in its Series A funding round. Johnson, who is at LSU, and Fudd, at UConn, were on hand for the announcement, as were Notre Dame's Hannah Hidalgo and UConn's Sarah Strong. 'Unrivaled is doing something amazing for women sports. It's a big reason why we're all here today,' Johnson said at Unrivaled's pop-up headquarters in Indianapolis. 'They're doing it in the W and really giving us a chance in college to really go at it.' Other players signed include TCU's Olivia Miles, UCLA's Kiki Rice and Lauren and Sienna Betts, Texas' Madison Booker, Iowa State's Audi Crooks, LSU's MiLaysia Fulwiley, South Carolina Ta'Niya Latson and Michigan's Syla Swords. The players range from sophomores to seniors. 'Just seeing from the first year what (the league) was able to build, you know it's only going to get better,' Fudd said. 'I'm super excited.' Women's basketball players have been able to take advantage of NIL opportunities over the last few years with Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, Bueckers and Johnson at the forefront of it. Reese played in Unrivaled in its first season. As part of the initiative, the class will be attending a multiday event at the league's headquarters near Miami, which will include skill development and content shoots. 'Our job is to try to bridge the gap between the current stars that are in Unrivaled and the future stars sitting on the stage right now,' Luke Cooper, Unrivaled's president of basketball operations, said at the announcement. 'Everyone that we asked to be a part of this said yes.' Unrivaled completed its inaugural season in March and is gearing up for its second in January.

WNBA star Paige Bueckers confirms relationship with 'D1 girlfriend,' Azzi Fudd
On the heels of being named a WNBA All-Star, Dallas Wings rookie guard Paige Bueckers confirmed she is officially off the market after discussing her girlfriend in a recent interview. During an interview with WAG Talk, a popular social media brand highlighting "wives and girlfriends" of professional athletes, Bueckers was asked a series of questions about her "D1 girlfriend." At the end of the line of questioning, she identified her partner as her former UConn Huskies teammate Azzi Fudd. Bueckers and Fudd played together at UConn for four seasons, with the two winning an NCAA Championship this year. The questions asked by WAG Talk ranged from Fudd's basketball career to the text on the UConn guard's phone case, which Bueckers affectionately said reads: "Paige Bueckers' girlfriend". A trio of rookies, consisting of Bueckers and Washington Mystics guard Sonia Citron and forward Kiki Iriafen, are slated to play in the WNBA All-Star game on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET at the Indiana Fever's arena, Gainbridge Fieldhouse, in Indianapolis. 'We were worried for a second there' Underneath the WAG Talk interview, TikTok users flooded the comment section, with one of them calling Bueckers' announcement a "hard launch." "ok this is like THE REALL hard launch," the user commented. NaLyssa Smith, a forward for the Las Vegas Aces, commented underneath the interview: "awwwwww my baby's all grown up." Gatorade, which named Fudd its 2018-19 National Player of the Year, also chimed in on the fun in the comment section, writing, "We were worried for a second there," seemingly joking about how long it took Bueckers to answer some of the questions in the video. WNBA star Paige Bueckers confirms she's dating former teammate Azzi Fudd
WNBA star Paige Bueckers confirmed she's dating her former teammate Azzi Fudd, and fans are calling it a 'hard launch.' During a July 17 interview with WAG Talk, the Dallas Wings guard was asked to answer a few questions about her 'D1 girlfriend,' and at the end, she revealed the person she was referring to was Fudd, her former UConn Huskies teammate. Some of the questions Bueckers answered were about Fudd's basketball career, her family and the writing that's on Fudd's phone case, which says 'Paige Bueckers' girlfriend' — and she answered them with a smile. In the comments, fans said they were happy for the couple. 'Ok this is like THE REALL hard launch 😭,' one person wrote. 'She cheesing mad hard too, that's her girl fr,' another said. A third added, 'This interviewer deserves a raise... I dream for nights like this.' Gatorade, who named Fudd its 2018-19 National Player of the Year, also got in on the fun. In the comments, the brand seemingly joked about how long it took Bueckers to answer some of the questions. In the video, she would sometimes take a moment to think about her answer before saying it out loud. 'We were worried for a second there,' Gatorade's account wrote. After answering a series of questions about what WAG Talk described as her 'D1 girlfriend,' Bueckers was asked to do a 'girlfriend reveal.' 'Azzi Fudd,' the athlete answered with a smile. In June, eagle-eyed fans noticed Fudd's phone case appeared to read 'Paige Bueckers' girlfriend.'
