These NYC bars are hosting 'Love Island USA' watch parties ahead of the big finale
If you've been emotionally invested in every dramatic dumping and head-turning Casa Amor twist this season, you're not alone. Love Island USA is barreling toward its explosive season 7 finale on Sunday, July 13, and New York City's bar scene is going full villa mode to celebrate. From Manhattan to Brooklyn and Queens, venues are throwing themed watch parties all weekend long, giving fans a chance to sip, scream and speculate in real time. Over in Manhattan, City Winery is going all in on Thursday night with a ticketed event hosted by none other than BradXBrad, bestie of Love Island host Ariana Madix. Just a few blocks away, The Comedy Shop is making it a full-on week of love, with nightly watch parties followed by comedy shows, giving you a place to laugh through your heartbreak if your favorite couple doesn't win the big bucks. If you're craving something more upscale for Sunday's grand finale, Fushimi Times Square is hosting a full-blown fundraiser watch party featuring a sushi buffet, complimentary champagne, speed dating, giveaways and even a photo booth. Proceeds go to youth leadership programs, so your screaming at the screen can be for a good cause. For a more casual drop-in, spots like The Black Sheep and The Ainsworth Midtown are airing episodes most nights leading up to the finale, with no tickets required. Saitama woman, yakuza suspected of forcing runaway girl, 14, into prostitution
TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested a woman living in Saitama Prefecture and a member of a criminal syndicate for allegedly forcing a 14-year-old runaway girl into prostitution last year, reports the Sankei Shimbun (June 9). On two occasions between December 23 and 28, Chihiro Fushimi, 32, and Masaru Minowa, a 33-year-old member of the Yamaguchi-gumi, are alleged to have forced the girl to engage in lewd acts with a man at a hotel in Saitama. Upon their arrests on suspicion of violating the Child Welfare Act and the Anti-Prostitution Law, the suspects admitted to the allegations. 'I made her do it to earn money,' and Minowa said. At the time, the girl was a third-year middle school student. Last November, Fushimi met the girl on a social-networking site. Chihiro Fushimi, left, and Masaru Minowa When the suspect found out that the girl had run away from home, she invited her to live at her residence in Kasukabe City. She then encouraged the girl to engage in prostitution. Minowa is an acquaintance of Fushimi. Together, they posed as the girl online to recruit customers interested in arrangements known as papakatsu , or compensated dating. The suspects drove the girl to met the men contacted online. Fushima and Minowa collected 120,000 yen from the girl's customers. The girl stayed at Fushimi's house for six days. She then returned to her parents. The incident came to light when her parents filed a missing persons report. Police have also sent documents on the pair to prosecutions on suspicion of non-consensual sexual intercourse.

While galivanting to the mall to record music videos are out, heading to a restaurant to record a podcast is apparently in. Yes, a Times Square restaurant is inviting you and your crew to shoot your own podcast each and every weekend. Even better, brunch is involved. Hosted at Fushimi, the Japanese lounge and eatery invites you to dine and dish, literally. Held every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 5pm, the restaurant is hosting the dual event: Bestie Brunch and Podcast and Dine. Naturally, the weekend event starts with brunch. Priced at $39 per person, the prix-fixe menu starts with a choice of appetizer: a seafood bisque or an avocado cucumber salad. As for the second course, guests can choose from the kitchen or the sushi bar. Kitchen entrees include Grilled Salmon, Ribeye Steak and a whole Branzino, while sushi and nigiri sets are available at the sushi bar, as are rolls with rock shrimp tempura and spicy tuna. Mimosas, Bellinis and Sangrias are priced at $8, or you can go unlimited for $40 more. Once you and all of your crew are properly full and lightly buzzed, now is the time to record. Converting a portion of the bar and lounge into a podcast nook, up to four people can make the podcast of their dreams. Backed by professional-grade equipment, Fushimi's set up includes access to microphones, HD cameras and a RodeCast mixer. Completely new to the podcast game? An equipment manager will be onsite to guide up-and-coming personalities through the process.
