BMW's speediest SUV is a fusion of utility and power
What is it? The X3 M50 xDrive is the fastest version of BMW's big-selling mid-sized SUV, with xDrive denoting power to all four wheels. The electric iX3 we reviewed earlier is based on the outgoing third generation model. This is the new G45 series, though to be fair the G45's a reworking rather than an all-new fourth generation.
What does it cost? From $128,900, plus on road costs. Our car had a premium exterior paint ($4000), a trailer tow hitch ($2200), and an enhanced parking assistant which, in an emerging trend, had been downloaded from the BMW ConnectedDrive store. It cost $569.
