GK Barry has teased when she will pop the question to her girlfriend Ella Rutherford as she gave an insight into their relationship. The TikTok star and Ipswich Town footballer, both 25, publicly confirmed their relationship in August 2024 after months of dating rumours and keeping the relationship private. And while GK, real name Grace Keeling, often jokingly calls Ella her 'wife', she has now admitted she will be the one to propose to the sports star. Speaking in an interview with The Mirror, Grace revealed: 'Ella's always like, "When are you proposing, then?" She asked me to be her girlfriend, so it's definitely me getting on the knee.' The star confirmed it will be a destination proposal as she added: 'But we need to explore more countries, see which we like, then I can propose there. 'I'm not proposing in Skegness. She just needs to be patient — but patience isn't one of Ella's virtues.' It seems the couple have done a U-turn on who would pop the question after Grace previously revealed it would be the footballer getting down on one knee. Speaking to The Sun on Sunday at the beginning of the year, she admitted that her and Ella have already confirmed they are getting married and having kids. But sharing that the milestones could be a while off yet, Grace said: 'One day, it's going to happen, not yet, we're both set on doing well in our careers. 'Then she'll get down on one knee!' GK previously admitted she was 'terrified' of first meeting Ella as she hadn't yet dated a woman after coming out. She said: 'I knew I was bi, but I was really scared to date a woman. It was territory I'd never been in. I was really terrified to meet Ella. We had a mutual friend. 'I looked at her Instagram and I thought, "look at the calves on that! There's no way I'm letting her go." So I plucked up the courage and went on a date.' Back in April Ella shared a rare insight into her relationship with Grace as she admitted 'she's changed my life for the better'. Speaking on talkSPORT's The Kickback, Ella said: 'She [GK Barry] really just became, straight away, as soon as I met her, that rock - that I obviously had with family and stuff but I think it's different when you've got a partner and you're going home to them every night. 'She's been a massive part of why I'm so happy on the outside if people do see that. Since I met her, she's changed my life for the better.' Ella added: 'She's flourished into her wag era. She's cooking dinners and enjoying just coming to the game with her prosecco. 'She hasn't got a clue what's going on. GK Barry 'scared' over Loose Women as she reveals true feelings for co-stars
Her rise to fame from humble beginnings has been remarkable - but it didn't stop GK Barry from feeling 'terrified' at the prospect of her first shows on Loose Women GK Barry went from posting hilariously unfiltered content on TikTok during the Covid lockdowns in 2020, to launching her podcast, Saving Grace in 2022. Last year she made history by becoming the youngest panellist to join ITV chatshow Loose Women - something the in-demand 25-year-old says is a 'dream come true' for her. Now a regular panellist on t he female-led show, GK - real name Grace Keeling, admits during an exclusive chat with OK! that though she feels right at home now, it was a rather scary prospect stepping into the studio to do her first few shows, with the thought of debating with one particular panellist making her more nervous than others. 'I was terrified. I begged them, please wait till I'm in the groove before you put me on the panel with Janet Street-Porter!", reveals the witty star, with trademark honesty. "Then I did my show with her and she was adorable. But I was so scared at the beginning, thinking, this audience doesn't know me — I'm some young woman off TikTok. But now I love it." Grace, who was born in 1996 - the same year that Loose Women first came on-air, adds: 'Sitting with Kaye [Adams], Denise [Welch]... Loose has me, Olivia [Attwood], Frankie [Bridge] giving a different perspective. It's fascinating, they're all such interesting women. They've lived a life, you know?' And the social media sensation, who went public with her footballer girlfriend Ella Rutherford last year, admits that she does battle with imposter syndrome, from time to time., when she thinks of her incredible path to fame. 'I started this whole thing by accident, I expected nothing — though when I was a kid I did want to be a Pussycat Doll, which didn't quite work out. Being in the public eye was an amazing accident. "Even in the jungle I'd be like, 'What exactly have I done to be sitting here beside Tulisa and Coleen Rooney?' I'm not sure, but I'm not complaining.' She may have done an awful lot into her 25 years, but Grace has no intention of slowing down, and has a few burning ambitions she'd like to tick off. Her girlfriend would like her to do The Traitors, but she admits she'd swiftly get the boot as she 'always looks guilty when she's not'. Grace admits that she would also love to be a guest on the sofa on The Graham Norton Show — but her absolute dream, she says, is to one day have her very own chat show, in the style of Alan Car r: Chatty Man.
