According to PAGASA, Emong may make landfall over La Union, Ilocos Sur, or Ilocos Norte on Friday morning. But a close approach over northwestern Pangasinan between Thursday evening and early Friday morning prior to the possible landfall has not been not ruled out. Between Friday noon and evening, Emong may pass close or make landfall over Babuyan Islands and Batanes.
