Kendrick Lamar's GNX Pop-up Lands in Shoreditch
Summary Amid two sold-out nights at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium,Kendrick Lamarbrought theGNXexperience offstage with a surprise pop-up in Shoreditch— turning his latest album into a tangible, immersive experience for fans. More than a typical promotion setup, the space was a fully realized world built around his album — layered, personal and intentional. At the center of it all sat the classic black Buick GNX, the same model that appears on the album cover. But this wasn't just about aesthetics. According to Lamar, the car is woven into his personal history: his father drove him home from the hospital in a 1987 Buick Regal, which is the GNX's predecessor. That connection came full circle when Kendrick bought his own GNX, tying his past to his present. That detail transformed what could've been a simple photo prop into a physical manifestation of the album's themes: legacy, origin and evolution. Naturally, fans lined up for photos — not just to document a cool moment, but to connect with the artist. Inside the space, a wall of Kendrick's full discography on vinyl wrapped around a record player playing GNX in full. Offering a focused, high-fidelity experience that invited fans to sit, listen and absorb the album in its rawest form. In a digital age, that vinyl playback setup created a space for reflection, offering an intimate contrast to the massive energy of the stadium shows happening across town. Running concurrently with his July 22 and 23 shows, the Shoreditch location felt like a quiet counterbalance to the loud spectacle of the stage — a place where fans could slow down and connect with the music on a deeper, more physical level. For those who attended both the pop-up and the concert, the experience became layered, each part informing the other. From the car to the records, from the merch to the music, the GNX Pop-Up wasn't just about what Kendrick was selling — it was about what he was saying. Explore the full GNX pop-up experience below.

Pet owners can take part in sound healing with their dogs at this festival
The Unheard: Sound and Music Festival is returning to Eaton HK for its fourth edition this summer, bringing a genre-blurring celebration of community and creativity linked through sonic curiosity. This year's theme is 'sound signatures' and explores how sounds – whether it's the beeping of closing MTR train doors or the pulsing bass from clubs – shape personalities and everyday experiences. Festival-goers can expect live performances, workshops, film screenings, talks, and interactive sound installations to explore at your own pace. Eaton's vinyl sharing series A2B x Mystery Train will host listening sessions of Kendrick Lamar's newest album GNX as well as analyses of the lyrics and themes. The Colony Kids Record Fair also returns with a marketplace selling rare vinyls, second-hand sound equipment, zines, and DIY electronics – perfect for any sound enthusiast. One of the most interesting highlights of the festival is a pet-friendly sound healing session guided by Shoji, which pet owners are encouraged to attend with their dogs. If you're unfamiliar with singing bowls, it is a therapeutic practice that uses harmonic sounds created by tones and vibrations from striking or stroking metal bowl-shaped bells, which promotes relaxation, mindfulness, and a state of meditation. The sound waves produced can help both dogs and owners reduce stress, so if you've got an anxious doggy, try out this sound healing to see if they feel more at ease afterwards! Of course, no music-related festival can be without live performances, and this year's Unheard line-up includes Donna Goldn, a Belgian vocalist who interestingly creates genre-melding pop in Korean and English; experimental duo cehryl & hirsk; local musician and producer Loisey; and the debut of Hong Kong-based collective A Vivid Machine. The festival events will be spread across two weekends from July 26 to August 3, with most being free to take part in, though some performance nights will be ticketed. Check out the full programme details here.

Nicki Minaj And SZA Have Heated Exchange Online: 'Go Draw Your Freckles Back On'
Nicki Minaj and SZA had social media in a chokehold on Tuesday (July 15) when they got into a heated exchange on X — leaving many confused about how their rift began. It all kicked off when Nicki took aim at Top Dawg Entertainment president Punch, accusing him of bullying her online. 'Me after I suck some good zik. Guarantee you wouldn't fight a man,' she wrote on X. 'We have every tweet of your incessant bullying, lying, & more. Your name was added to that sh*t list sh*tty drawers. Same thing that make you laugh make you…sh*t.' In the middle of her rant, SZA posted what seemed like a harmless message about Mercury retrograde, writing, 'Don't take the bait lol silly goose.' Nicki, however, wasn't here for what she perceived as 'shade.' She responded directly, dragging the Grammy-winning singer with jabs about her appearance, streaming numbers, and signature freckles. 'Go draw your freckles back on bookie #JusticeForDemoree #DepositionPerez Liar liar pants on fire. Sounding like a fkng dead dog,' Minaj wrote, also taking aim at Roc Nation CEO Desiree Perez. SZA clapped back quickly, tweeting, 'I don't give a f**k bout none of that weird sh*t you popping,' while Nicki fired off another tweet, writing, 'Bi**h looking & sounding like she got stung by a f**king bee. dot dot dot *Draws on my fake freckles.' Trying to clarify her original message, SZA responded to one of Nicki's fans, writing, 'I wasn't even talking about or to anyone I had just got off stage talkin bout retrograde. NI**AS @'d ME. The F**K YES IM MAD NOW DO YOU NEED THAT !??' Eventually, SZA decided to exit the conversation, tweeting, 'Lmao lemme go back to being calm shy and meek. Yall have blessed night! See you tomorrow for night 2 Paris !!' But Nicki wasn't finished. She shot back, 'Shutup ugly. I'm in a meeting so idk if u was still talking shit or not so if you didn't I'll delete later. H*e.' Then she doubled down in another post: 'Bi**h damn near broke that man back & leg. Bi**h fat chubby & Skinny @ the same damn time,' referring to SZA nearly falling during the GNX tour opening night while performing a move with one of her backup dancers. 'bi**h where are those 30 million streams that disappeared on Spotify like your feaux freckles. Botting tweets when you arguing is just as weird as sza,' she continued. Bringing others into the mix, Minaj recalled a few past post from SZA where she allegedly shaded Rihanna, Ciara, and Beyoncé, all of who she has built a relationship with since then. 'Btch used to be on twitter dissing Rihanna, [Ciara], etc. but then when it was time to suck zick & get opportunities from them, she drew them freckles on & got to sucking right? Allegedly,' Minaj wrote on X. 'Like bi**h stop being jealous of women who you secretly would kill to be up their a** holes.' She added, 'These men putting batteries in yall backs & yall stupid enough to still keep it going not peeping that it's not going to end well for them or you.' The whole exchange had fans wondering if there was some deeper beef between the two women. After all, SZA co-wrote Nicki's 2014 Beyoncé-assisted track 'Feeling Myself,' so they've worked together before. As we all know, the 'Snooze' singer is also close to Kendrick Lamar, who performed the 2025 Super Bowl halftime show over Lil Wayne in New Orleans Her TDE ties to has had some fans assuming she might've taken sides in the ongoing Drake vs. Kendrick feud, where Nicki sided with her Young Money brethren, Drake. Kendrick Lamar's Tour With SZA Helps His Most Recent Album Soar
Kendrick Lamar's GNX climbs back onto five U.K. charts as he and SZA bring the Grand National Tour ... More to Europe, with U.K. fans driving a resurgence. Kendrick Lamar, SZA at the BET Awards 2025 held at the Peacock Theater on June 09, 2025 in Los Angeles, California. (Photo by Christopher Polk/Billboard via Getty Images) After Kendrick Lamar and SZA wrapped the American leg of their joint Grand National Tour, the two superstars headed to Europe in early July. They began their run with performances in Germany, then crossed over to the United Kingdom for a handful of dates throughout the month. The chart-toppers are scheduled to perform in cities like Glasgow, Birmingham, Cardiff, and London. Fans of both artists — especially Lamar — have shown their excitement by buying and streaming his latest album GNX in huge numbers, turning it into a chart smash once again. Kendrick Lamar's GNX Returns Thanks to the surge in attention surrounding Lamar's tour, GNX returns to four U.K. rankings this week. The full-length, which dropped in late 2024, appears in the lower reaches of the Official Physical Albums (No. 83), Official Albums Streaming (No. 89), Official Albums (No. 92), and Official Albums Sales charts (No. 93). Back Inside the Top 10 GNX is also present on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Albums chart, but unlike on the other four tallies, the full-length doesn't need to return. Lamar's fans have kept the project on that genre-specific ranking for months. This week, it lifts back into the top 10, surging from No. 11 to No. 8. Kendrick Lamar Claims Five Charting Albums Lamar fills five spaces on the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Albums tally this week, with GNX leading the way. That project is followed by To Pimp a Butterfly, good kid, m.A.A.d city, DAMN., and Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers, which come in at Nos. 11, 22, 26, and 39, respectively. The first four of Lamar's efforts climb, while the latter reappears on the ranking. GNX Has Spent Months on the U.K. Charts GNX has spent the most time on the Official Albums chart, the most competitive list of releases currently loved by U.K. residents. On that roster, Lamar's latest is up to 28 stints on the roster. The set has earned the shortest stay on the Official Physical Albums tally, where it only hits 20 weeks this time around. The bestselling release has also landed 20-plus moments on the other three rosters throughout its months-long lifetime.
