Kate Martin erupts for career-high performance vs New York Liberty
GOLDEN KATE MARTIN. Back to back BIG triples!#VotetheValks → In incredible fashion, Golden State Valkyries guard Kate Martin recorded a new career high on Wednesday night against the New York Liberty through a fourth-quarter offensive explosion. Despite New York ultimately escaping victorious, Martin contributed 14 points in the game's final 8:35 to total 21 points on 7-for-15 shooting from the field, including 4-for-10 from 3-point range. In addition to her scoring, the second-year player out of Iowa gathered two rebounds and one assist in her 24 minutes of action. While Martin has been used primarily as a sharpshooter off the bench, she was able to provide a much-needed spark to the Golden State offense through four deep 3-pointers that drew the Valkyries closer to the Liberty late in the game. MONEY. #VotetheValks → Given her fourth-quarter contributions on Wednesday, she should be able to garner more playing time from the coaching staff in the future, as her 3-point accuracy is her biggest strength. The next game for Martin and the Valkyries will be on Friday night from Chase Center in San Francisco, California, when Golden State hosts the Chicago Sky. That game will begin at 9 p.m. CT and be broadcast on ION. Contact/Follow us @HawkeyesWire on X and like our page on Facebook to follow ongoing coverage of Iowa news, notes, and opinions. Fact check: Did BTS' Jungkook announce a solo world tour with 20 countries including India on list? Truth behind viral claim
All seven members of BTS are finally back from the military, and fans have been thrilled to see updates from nearly everyone except Jungkook. Known for his spontaneous livestreams and candid fan interactions (often sharing more than he probably should, not that anyone's complaining), Jungkook's recent silence has sparked a wave of speculation. While some unverified reports suggest he's currently filming Season 2 of his variety show Are You Sure? with Jimin in Switzerland, a new viral claim making the rounds online says Jungkook has announced a solo world tour—and that India is reportedly on the list. But what's truth? Let's break down. Jungkook's 'solo world tour list' goes viral A few videos on Instagram have sent Indian BTS fans into a frenzy, thanks to a viral list that hints at a potential Jungkook solo world tour with India included. The rumoured tour list features 20 countries: South Korea, Japan, Australia, United States, China, Brazil, Mexico, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, India, Spain, Canada, United Kingdom, France, Netherlands, Germany, Singapore, and Hong Kong. While nothing has been confirmed, the list has quickly gained traction online, especially among Indian ARMYs, who are hopeful this could mark the first-ever visit by BTS or any of its members to India. View this post on Instagram Fans have been demanding a Jungkook solo world tour Ever since Jungkook was discharged from the military, fans, especially his solo stans, have been eagerly calling for him to go on a world tour, something he's previously expressed interest in. The idea of seeing him perform his solo hits live has only added to the anticipation. So far, Jungkook has released just one solo album, GOLDEN, which was a massive success. Tracks like Seven, Standing Next to You, and 3D became instant chartbusters, further proving his global star power. However, Jungkook has also been vocal about wanting to expand his discography before embarking on such a major journey. For him, a tour isn't just about performing. WDYM JUNGKOOK SOLO WORLD TOUR IS COMING???🤯 — 정국 (@archivekukk) June 18, 2025 Fact check: So did Jungkook really announce his solo world tour? Absolutely not! While the rumoured tour list has taken over fan pages, there's no official source backing it. Neither Jungkook nor BTS' agency, BigHit Music, has announced any solo world tour plans. The singer hasn't posted anything on Weverse about it either. Jungkook, who deleted his personal Instagram last year, now uses his dog Bam's account, "Bam's Dad", and that account has been completely silent since his military discharge. Even BTS' official Twitter account hasn't hinted at anything related to a tour. Credit: X While a Jungkook solo tour would definitely be a dream come true for millions of fans, it's simply not happening—at least not yet. Everything circulating on social media right now is just an unverified viral claim with no official confirmation.

With Jungkook recently discharged from his mandatory military service, fans believe the post may have teased an upcoming project. Some even think it could be one of his most ambitious yet. Jungkook's Latin music hints go way back The idea of Jungkook diving into Latin music isn't a new one. It's something he has hinted at several times in the past. During promotions for his solo album GOLDEN in 2023, Jungkook shared his desire to experiment with diverse musical styles. He specifically mentioned Latin music as a genre he was eager to explore. He listed artists such as J Balvin, Becky G, and Rosalia among his inspirations. He even mentioned wanting to try out other genres like opera, proving just how eclectic and expansive his musical ambitions truly are. These comments weren't just throwaway statements; fans held on to them, hoping the singer would one day turn his words into action. Now, with new hints surfacing, those dreams seem more within reach than ever. Reports suggested that his trip might be related to music or a brand deal. Though nothing has been confirmed yet, multiple industry insiders have hinted that a second solo album could be in the works. Adding to the buzz, eagle-eyed fans noticed Jungkook's name briefly appearing on Ticketmaster listings. It hints at a possible solo concert or tour in the near future. Jungkook's new era: From solo tour to sophomore album, here's what's reportedly on BTS star's agenda post-military discharge
BTS's golden maknae, Jungkook, has been making waves just days after his discharge from the South Korean military. Multiple fan accounts have noted that the singer was recently spotted flying to the US, sparking speculation about his packed upcoming schedule. While there's been no official confirmation from BigHit Entertainment, fan sources suggest Jungkook is currently in the States for several major projects, including a new Calvin Klein campaign and preparations for his highly anticipated sophomore album. Jungkook's new era loading: album, concerts, and creative control According to widely shared fan posts, Jungkook is not just modelling for Calvin Klein's fall collection but also finalising solo concert dates. On top of that, he's reportedly working on his branding and visual identity under new management. The most exciting bit? His sophomore album is in the works. Fans believe he's working with the same two producers behind his maiden album, GOLDEN, and also contributing creatively himself. For ARMY, that means more personal, introspective music and possibly genre blends that only Jungkook can pull off. BTS star to juggle a busy schedule As per fans tracking his activities, Jungkook's calendar is currently stacked. From music video shoots to potential global performances and collaborations, it looks like he'll be bouncing between continents all year. There's even talk that he's locking down major international appearances. It's definitely a far cry from the quiet life of military enlistment, but with his recent takeover at J-Hope's solo concert, Jungkook seems more than ready to hit the ground running. Brief controversy: the 'Make Tokyo Great Again' moment The singer recently drew criticism after being photographed in a hat with the slogan 'Make Tokyo Great Again' during rehearsals of J-Hope's concert finale in Seoul. The phrase, a twist on a politically loaded line, raised eyebrows online. Jungkook was quick to respond to the criticism and quickly posted a heartfelt apology on Weverse, saying he didn't know the historical and political relevance of the phrase but assured fans that the hat has been disposed of. A BTS reunion on the horizon While the SEVEN singer is deep into his solo hustle, BTS are gearing up for their much-awaited group reunion.
