Galaxy Health Insurance launches plan tailored for senior citizens
Agency: PTI Last Updated: Chennai, Jul 22 (PTI) Galaxy Health Insurance has launched Galaxy Privilege, a comprehensive insurance product specifically designed for senior citizens, a top official said. The company is backed by, TVS group and V Jagannathan, founder of Star Health and Allied Insurance. According to a company statement issued on Tuesday, Galaxy Privilege supports senior citizens through various stages of their health journey, offering benefits that prioritise well-being, independence, and financial security, within a year of purchasing the policy. Commenting on the launch, Managing Director and CEO G Srinivasan said, 'With Galaxy Privilege, we are not just offering financial protection—we are empowering senior citizens with access to crucial services like rehabilitation, assisted living, hospice care, and home nursing, ensuring their dignity and independence." 'This launch reaffirms our commitment to building an inclusive health insurance ecosystem that serves all segments of society," he added. With over 150 million senior citizens in India, Galaxy Privilege aims to significantly boost insurance coverage in this underserved segment by offering a comprehensive and accessible solution. Galaxy Health Insurance partners with Policybazaar to leverage its extensive pan-India network
Hyderabad, June 24 (UNI) Galaxy Health Insurance, India's youngest health insurer backed by the families of TVS Group and insurance veteran V Jagannathan, on Tuesday announced it has launched its flagship offering – Galaxy Marvel, designed to meet the evolving needs of today's health-conscious society. The Chennai-based company has now partnered with Policybazaar (PB), India's largest insurance distributor, to make Galaxy Marvel available to its present and potential customer base, pan-India. Galaxy Marvel follows the success of the insurer's first flagship product, Galaxy Promise, launched in October 2024, the insurance company said in a release here. Over the past year, the company has expanded its physical footprint across South India, insuring over 2,980 lives in Telangana and 1,750 lives in Andhra Pradesh, supported by a robust network of more than 980 agents in Telangana and 913 in Andhra Pradesh. Commenting on the launch, Galaxy Health Insurance Managing Director and CEO, G Srinivasan, said, '... Understanding the pulse of India, we have introduced Galaxy Marvel – a plan that incentivises wellness by rewarding policyholders for maintaining good health. Galaxy Health eyes Rs 200-cr premium income
Hyderabad: Galaxy Health Insurance, health insurer, insurance penetration, rural healthcare, premium income, hospital network expansion Galaxy Health Insurance, India's newest standalone health insurer, has unveiled bold plans to expand its footprint across the country, while focusing on innovation, affordability, and trust in healthcare services. Addressing the media in Hyderabad, G Srinivasan, Managing Director and CEO of Galaxy Health Insurance, shared the company's progress and roadmap for rapid growth. 'We are a young company—just five months into operations—but we are growing fast, our focus is on increasing insurance penetration, especially in underserved and rural areas,' G Srinivasan, Managing Director and CEO of Galaxy Health Insurance. Within just four months of operations last year, Galaxy Health Insurance generated Rs17 crore in premium income. For the current financial year, it is targeting an ambitious Rs200 crore. The company has set up 61 offices and built a 6,000-strong agent network, which it aims to scale up to 50,000 by year-end. The company has partnered with 3,400 hospitals and aims to double this network to 7,000 by the end of the year. In Hyderabad alone, Galaxy has tied up with all major healthcare providers. Founded in March 2024 and operational since October, Galaxy has already established a strong presence in four southern states—Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Telangana, and Andhra Pradesh.
