Rapper 50 Cent stuns locals in UK city as he enjoys surprise activity with G-Unit entourage before gig
HE famously had a hit with In Da Club in 2003. But it seems bad-boy rapper 50 Cent has grown out of his party-loving ways. Fiddy stunned locals in Glasgow, ahead of his headline set at TRNSMT last night, as he enjoyed an evening of ten-pin bowling with his G-Unit entourage. He was at hotspot Vega, enjoying drinks in the sky-high bar and using its luxe bowling lanes. And rather than bottles of champagne, I'm told 50 was enjoying his very own Branson XO Cognac. An onlooker said: 'We couldn't believe it was him, we had to do a double-take! Everyone knows he's a legend on stage, but he's also a legend in the lanes. He scored strike after strike and was having a great time. If it's any indication of what his TRNSMT performance will be like, it looks like he'll be at the top of his game.' Sadly, my mole didn't tell me if he had the bumpers up but by the sounds of it he certainly didn't need them. 8 BEY SO GLAM AS COWGIRL 8 BEYONCE shows she's a cut above the rest as she continues her epic Cowboy Carter Tour. The Drunk In Love singer wowed Landover in Maryland by donning this slashed leotard and Lycra trousers combo. Ever the fashionista, Queen Bey sported matching gloves and a red cowboy hat. Beyonce horrifies fans as she suffers mid-air drama in flying car prop during Cowboy Carter show She only has one more city left to perform in before wrapping up the global trek in Las Vegas later this month. While everyone is still guessing as to what the superstar will do next, we do know ACT III of her three part album series isn't far off. Act I saw Bey take on the dancefloors with Renaissance while Act II saw her break the mould by tackling country music. Act III is said to be a rock record. If so, I can't wait to hear what she's cooked up for us. CRAIG 'N ROBBIE DROP TOP TUNES 8 8 YESTERDAY was full of surprises. As well as Justin Bieber dropping a whole new album, Robbie Williams and Craig David also caught us off guard by releasing new songs. Robbie has teamed up with Laura Pausini for official Fifa anthem Desire – a string-filled uplifting track that could have come straight out of a film score. Meanwhile, Craig has teamed up with JoJo for beautiful ballad In It With You, which sees their vocals blend perfectly in harmony together. TINA'S GOT REAL FLEUR ★★★★☆ 8 FLEUR EAST's stint as the legendary Tina Turner is a solid West End debut – even with impossibly big shoes to fill. A bit like Tina's career, the show is a tale of two halves. While the first half of the performance is slow to get off the ground, it's another story from curtain up on Act II. The finale is also easily one of the most fun and joyous I've ever seen on the West End. X Factor winner turned presenter Fleur has Tina's movements and mannerisms down to a tee. Is it quite Tina vocally? No. But then again is anyone? It's impossible to deny Fleur's vocals outshine most of the voices in the UK. A special shout-out must also go to Rhianne King, who plays a young Anna Mae Bullock [Tina] and was fabulous from the start and throughout. After running since 2018, Tina will close for the final time on September 13 and if you're in town or a fan of the music icon it's well worth a visit. DAGNY: TOUR CAME ABOUT JUST IN TIME SHE's just finished touring the UK with Justin Timberlake. And Scandi popstar Dagny is already keen to get back on the road and perform for UK fans. Chatting to Bizarre, the rising star said: 'The crowd in Chelmsford was lovely. Justin has such dedicated fans and they've made it easy for us as support acts to feel part of it. 'It's always interesting to see how a new audience responds. I appreciate when people are curious about new music, and it feels like we have a little 45-minute journey together and by the end we are connected. I hope I can come back on tour again next year.' The singer added: 'I'd planned to spend this year working on the next album, but when the opportunity to support Justin came up, it was an easy yes. 'I always get a bit restless after sitting in the studio for too many months in a row, so it felt good to get out on tour.' OLIVIA'S ALIVE AND SWELL ★★★★☆ 8 FRESH from taking Glastonbury by storm, Olivia Rodrigo continued her quest for world domination by headlining NOS Alive! In Lisbon, Portugal. Considering the American pop-rock princess only has two albums under her belt, Olivia's stage presence is the stuff of legend – and she made sure everyone in the crowd on Thursday knew it. It was a no-frills rock show with shredding guitar solos, an all-female band and an energy that had everyone from her pre-teen superfans to their chaperone dads dancing. Olivia is a powerhouse when it comes to angst-ridden boy-busting anthems, but she couldn't resist a shout-out to her British actor beau, Louis Partridge, to whom she dedicated track So American, before declaring she was 'so in love' with him. While Lisbon missed out on the star bringing out a surprise collaborator – who could forget when she was joined by The Cure's Robert Smith on stage at Glasto – fans were given pure, unapologetic Olivia. And she set the standard incredibly high for the weekend to come. RYAN TEDDER and his band One Republic have given us hits for two decades. But it seems the American group are only just getting started. One Republic have signed a worldwide record deal with BMG – the home of Kylie Minogue and Rita Ora. Prior to the new deal they had spent 18 years on Mosley Music Group/Interscope. New single Beautiful Colors is the lead track off their upcoming seventh album, due out this year. 8

Ja Rule Roasts Longtime Enemy 50 Cent Over Concert Video: ‘Ain't Nobody Coming to See You'
Ja Rule clowned his longtime foe 50 Cent after a video circulated allegedly showing a low concert turnout for the G-Unit leader. On Monday (June 30), Ja hopped on X to respond to a fan who had antagonized the rapper by showing that one of 50 Cent's UK tour dates is entirely sold out. The Final Lap tour date was part of a special 2-for-1 offer the G-Unit leader offered in London. Ja clowned him for even having such an offer, which prompted the fan to post a screenshot of the sold-out date. More from Billboard Here's Why Ja Rule Believes the Internet Would've Changed the Course of His Feud With 50 Cent Gavin Adcock Blasts Beyoncé's 'Cowboy Carter' During Concert Rant: 'That S-t Ain't Country Music' Chris Brown Champions T-Pain as 'One of the GOATs' & a 'Pioneer' in Music Following Drake Spat 'You sure bout that???' Ja wrote alongside a video of a crowd that didn't fill the whole floor. 'Ain't nobody coming to see you Otis… I mean Curtis.' When reached by Billboard, a rep for 50 Cent said of the video: 'Like all of Jackson's other tour dates, this show was completely sold out.' Ja's trolling should come as no surprise considering he and 50 Cent have been at odds for years. Most recently, 50 claimed that he bought tickets to one of Ja's shows to make sure seats would be left empty. 'I did [buy Ja Rule's tickets]. They were cheap tickets,' he told Big Boy back in December. 'The tickets were very affordable. They were on StubHub. I bought the first four rows.' He added: 'I looked at it and said, 'I just want you to feel like you gotta reach the people, four or five rows back…It wasn't that big of a sacrifice. I've bought things that mean less to me. That was fun, watching the show and seeing the spaces are empty because they were reserved for someone else.' Check out the clip below. 50 Cent Teases Role In Forthcoming ‘Street Fighter' Movie
50 Cent does not stop working. The 49-year-old entrepreneur recently teased having a role in the upcoming Street Fighter movie. Nexus Point News reported that the G-Unit leader was in talks of taking on the role of Balrog, a disgraced boxer who first appeared in Street Fighter II: The World Warrior. Fif saw the report and took to Instagram with a screenshot of the article. 'No Days off,' he wrote. 'Let's work all roads lead to Shreveport *bomb emoji* Boom *smoke emoji*.' Legendary Entertainment hasn't confirmed his involvement yet, but the movie's reboot has been circulating for some time now. Reports claim that Jason Momoa, Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, and WWE superstar Roman Reigns will all have roles in the film, slated to release in 2026. The 'In Da Club' rapper is no stranger to the big screen. During his prime music years, he starred in Get Rich Or Die Tryin', a film adaptation of his come-up story that is documented in his debut LP of the same name. He has also appeared in The Expendables 4, Boneyard, Righteous Kill, Escape, and Southpaw. He has also had a huge year, expanding his TV channel 50 Cent Action to the United Kingdom. 'You know, everybody loves London. If you're from New York, or you're a recording artist from America in general, the first stop and your first dose of international love is London,' he told Deadline. 'My audience, my core audience – the people that were enjoying my music in the very beginning – is at home. They're older. They'll understand the entertainment choices that I make creatively. I've used music to merge with entertainment. Being able to launch out here [in the UK] is big because I have a huge audience here that hasn't been able to participate with us. Now they get a chance to see it.' More from 50 Cent Confirms Nelly's Story About Apologizing To Ashanti For Murder Inc. 50 Cent's rapper friend Bang Em Smurf is staying in a taxpayer-funded UK asylum hotel - after being jailed over a shootout in the US
One of rapper 50 Cent's group G-Unit is an asylum seeker living in a UK hotel at the taxpayers' expense. Bang Em Smurf, real name Daniel Calliste, was a short-lived member of the hip hop posse - even appearing in the video for the iconic 2003 chart topper In Da Club. Calliste is now living in the Novotel hotel near Stevenage in Hertfordshire, which is being used to house asylum seekers, The Sun reported. The 102-room, four-star property is currently closed to the public. Calliste is believed to have fled to the UK at the end of 2024 after claiming he was under threat from gang members in his homeland of Trinidad. He was born there but emigrated to America and started rapping age 15, ending up as part of the original G-Unit line-up and unofficially 50 Cent's head of security. 'You couldn't breathe the same air as 50 without going through Smurf. That was his shooter, his gunner,' fellow Queens Domination told Vice in 2005. However the pair later fell out when Calliste got arrested after a New York shoot out in 2004, 50 Cent - real name Curtis Jackson - refused to pay Smurf's $75,000 bail. 'That's when I first started working with Domination. I had a mixtape with Domination, and I'm on the block and my homie got a situation, and this dude he had a problem with knocked him out,' Calliste told 'Laid him flat out in front of me, and that's my dude. So we did what we did. Dudes we got in the conflict with kept it gutter. 'They got hit up, they didn't say nothing – they didn't go to no hospital in Queens. I respect their gangsta.' Smurf ended up serving three-and-a-half years for gun possession after the incident and was deported back to Trinidad upon his release. A source said: 'It's crazy he was let in after being deported from the US with a criminal record for violent offences. 'His history is well known. He is being supported by the taxpayer.' Calliste claims he came to the UK as Universal was planning to adapt his 2018 memoir Wisdom of a Wolf: The G Behind the Unit into a film. He was also spotted enjoying his 44th birthday in Battersea in South London earlier this year. Members of the group "G-Unit," Young Buck, left, 50 Cent, center, and Lloyd Banks perform at the MTV studios in New York's Times Square as part of MTV's 'Spankin' New Music Week,' Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003 It is believed that Calliste's application for asylum has been rejected and he will be deported back to his native Trinidad.
