Group Fitness Classes Are Where It's At. And I've Got The Receipts To Prove It!
Zumba, Dance, HYROX, BootCamp, Pilates and even run clubs, the options are endless. Working out in group settings has so many benefits and is great if you have a bit of gym-timidation! Check some of them out below!

There are group classes everywhere. Check the social media accounts for gyms, studios and even community centers in your area. You don't even have to leave your home to find one! Look for promos offering a free class or major discounts so you can try it out first!

Some gyms might just offer specific classes, like a yoga or spinning studios, and some places might offer a plethora of classes. There is something for everyone out there! Try a couple of free classes at different places until you find the one for you!
8. All You Gotta Do Is Turn Up

The great thing about group classes is so much of the work is done for you. The workout is planned, the playlist is made and the coach brings a ton of good energy to hype you up. All you have to do is bring your can-do attitude, move your body and drink some water!
7. Easier To Stay Consistent
Class schedules are made to accommodate people who want to workout in the morning, afternoon, evening or for those weekend warriors. It's easy to find a class that fits into your schedule so make it a routine, you have no excuse! Just sign up, put it in your calendar and go, it's only an hour.
6. You Can Always Mix It Up

A cardio class one day, a strength class the next day and toss in some yoga while you're at it! This keeps it interesting and ensures you're covering all the 'living an active lifestyle' bases! Boring is non existent in the world of group fitness! As an added bonus, by mixing it up from time to time, you might just find your new fave class or coach (we all have one)!
5. Extra Boost Of Endorphines

Experts say that working out in group classes can create a level of friendly competition and increase performance. If the person next to you is running faster or working a bit harder it will push you to do the same. They also say that smiling and swearing will help you work harder and boost your endorphins! A little curse word under your breath when you're halfway through some push ups, never hurt anyone.
4. The Good Kind Of Peer Pressure

The more you go the more of the same people you will see. So if you start to no show for classes or haven't been for a while, people will notice and ask you about it! Sometimes that extra little outside push is needed to to keep you in check.
3. Only Positive Vibes

If you were to workout out on your own and no one was watching, would you still do burpees? I wouldn't for sure. In a group setting you aren't getting away with that. Whether it's the fist bump at the end of class, the positive vibes or the 'come on you can do it' from another member. The support and encouragement from others will keep you motivated and get you through those tougher workouts!
2. New Gym Buddies Everywhere

Social interactions, meeting new people and bonding over a shared experience are a major benefit of group fitness classes. Suffering through a killer sweat sesh as a group is way better than doing it on your own in my opinion!

Not fun in the moment but that feeling after is all kinds of ah-mazing. All that hard work was so worth it! As you say goodbye to your workout buddies and drag your sweaty self to the car you are already looking forward to the next class!
