What Was In ‘Rise Of Iron,' Supposedly As Big As Destiny 2's ‘Edge Of Fate'

Rise of Iron As we approach the launch of Destiny 2's Edge of Fate expansion and the Frontiers era, we have learned a whole lot about systems changes coming to the wider game, and very little about the expansion itself. What we have heard in the past, however, is that these smaller expansions like The Edge of Fate and the upcoming Renegade are that they're supposed to be around Rise of Iron size from Destiny 1. Here's assistant game director Robbie Stevens on a livestream late last year: Two Rise of Iron expansions a year sounds good in theory, albeit without true 'seasons' in between them now, but is the upcoming Edge of Fate expansion actually the same size as a Rise of Iron? My initial perception is probably not, but it's too early to say that for sure. But what we can do is run down the content of Rise of Iron itself to compare when Edge of Fate does arrive. So, here's the list. Destiny 2 FEATURED | Frase ByForbes™ Unscramble The Anagram To Reveal The Phrase Pinpoint By Linkedin Guess The Category Queens By Linkedin Crown Each Region Crossclimb By Linkedin Unlock A Trivia Ladder So, The Edge of Fate? What do we know? A new raid. Four weapon exotics (that we know of), three exotic armor pieces. No Crucible maps seems confirmed. What don't we know? We have heard nothing about strikes. We do not know the length of the campaign or the size of Kepler, and it doesn't seem to be a traditional patrol zone with Lost Sectors and such. We don't know if it will have exotic quests (though it's likely). Is this Rise of Iron size? Again, there are things we just don't know, but if some of these items are coming (strikes, Crucible maps), it feels like they already would have been discussed. We will see how it compares to Rise of Iron at launch, though interestingly, we are getting a Rise of Iron-themed 'major update' three months from now. Not that size, but reprising things like the Plaguelands. So, we'll see. Follow me on Twitter, YouTube, Bluesky and Instagram. 3 new Game Pass games to play this weekend (June 27-29)

It may be hard to believe, but it is already the end of June. This was quite an exciting month, what with Summer Game Fest and the Xbox Games Showcase giving us a great look at some upcoming Xbox Series X games. Tons of those reveals are also going to be coming to Game Pass, but we're still a ways away from most of them. Never fear, though, because Xbox isn't slowing down the cadence of adding fresh new titles to the service for us to enjoy. This month, I think you'll be pleasently surprised by the variety of titles on offer. Whether you're an old-school gamer, indie lover, or want an addictive game to play with friends, I have the best new Game Pass games you should play this weekend right here. Rematch Coming from the team that brought us Sifu, Rematch might seem like a big departure for the studio. However, I find it perfectly lines up with its mentality of making simple but mechanically satisfying controls — only now you're playing soccer instead of fighting. There aren't a ton of moves or any crazy twists here, but that's what makes it so great. The handful of maneuvers you do get have hide a deceptivly high skill ceiling for players who want to master them. If you don't, that's no problem. It is a perfectly enjoyable soccer game to play casually with friends as well. This was a day one addition on Game Pass last week technically but I'm still hooked on it and had to give it a shoutout this weekend. Recommended Videos Rematch is available now on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Warcraft I, II, and III Remastered I feel incredibly old saying this, but it is very likely that a lot of you out there never knew Warcraft before it was an MMORPG. But, over 20 years ago, this series was the king of the RTS genre and that classic trilogy has been fully remastered and are all now available to play on Game Pass. The first game is a bit archaic and clunky, even with the new coat of paint, but still a charming and fun bit of history to experience. The second and third games, though, are still masterpieces to this day. The campaigns are epic and filled with lore WoW fans may have only read about. Warcraft III: Reforged did launch in a rough shape for fans, but thankfully has been fully updated with improved graphics, UI, functionality, and more. Warcraft I: Remastered, Warcraft II: Remastered, and Warcraft III: Reforged are available now on PC. Volcano Princess If you're looking for a more chill vibe this weekend, I have just the game for you. Volcano Princess comes from a Chinese studio and tasks you with preparing the your child to one day rule the kingdom. You will build up her stats by getting her new hobbies, helping her study, train in combat, and interact with the townspeople. It has a disarmingly cute art style and characters and wholesome tone that will instantly grip any simulation fan. This game has already been out on PC for over 2 years now but this will be its console debute so any issues it may have had have already been ironed out. Nothing can prepare you for being a parent in real life, but this is a fun facimily. Volcano Princess is available now on Xbox Series X/S and PC.

Overtaken by the need for revenge, Dick vowed to one day become what those skaters feared most – the long arm of the law!' Director Kurt Tillmanns told the publication how excited they were to have the School of Rock star agree to come back after his "really fun" inclusion in the first remake. Give the Switch 2 Camera time – I've seen enough to know it's a fun option

When you buy through links on our articles, Future and its syndication partners may earn a commission. When Nintendo properly unveiled the Switch 2, just a matter of weeks before the console finally went on sale, it didn't throw that many curveballs our way. After all, months of leaks had already confirmed that this would basically be the Switch, but a little bigger and a lot more powerful. If there was a twist, though, it might have come in the form of the Nintendo Switch 2 Camera, an official accessory that Nintendo's clearly very proud of. It integrates tightly with the new GameChat feature to let you basically video call with your friends while you play, but can also be used by games to offer novel new ways to play and have fun. Or, at least, that's how Nintendo would probably put it. The camera is an oddity, a throwback to the era of PlayStation 2's EyeToy and the Xbox Kinect in some ways, and has had plenty of people questioning it. The reality is that it's not exactly the most necessary of accessories, whichever way you look at it. Still, I've got one for myself, and after using it a little, I've been moderately impressed. Certainly, I now appreciate it enough to imagine some very credible cases where it could be really impressive. For one thing, I played a good few hours of Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour after first setting up my console, and it features a little showcase of the Camera's fidelity. One minigame has you mimicking the extreme facial expressions of an emoji, underlining the way it can track your face and facial features. This shows that this isn't just a simple webcam; still, it's GameChat that confirms why some people might need the camera. Let's be clear, I don't see myself using it very much at all. However, I've always maintained that the only console parents should consider getting for their kids until they're at least teenagers should be the Switch, and now the Switch 2. It's far safer to use, and has a huge library of genuinely great games that aren't violent or scary. Now, it has a way for kids to talk to their friends while playing together, and even to see their faces, without any external or third-party software or hardware needed. That's huge! I'm not going to try to claim that virtual hangouts can be as good for kids as in-person ones, but this feature closes the gap impressively, and the camera is what takes it up a new level. So, if you're a parent or part of a friendship group that plays a lot of Switch together, don't rule it out yet.
