Ronnie Wood's ex-wife Jo suffers a shock run-in with the Rolling Stones rocker during Bahamas holiday
Rolling stones star Ronnie Wood divorced his wife, Jo, back in 2009, but it's proving hard to escape her. Former Strictly contestant Jo, 70, had a shock during a recent holiday to the Bahamas when she ended up staying in the same hotel as the guitarist, 78. She told the Daily Mail's Richard Eden: 'I'd only been there a day and I walked into the hotel restaurant and there was Ronnie with his wife and kids. 'You should have seen his face when he saw me.' Ronnie is now married to theatre producer Sally, 31 years his junior, with whom he has twin daughters. Jo added: 'I'm no stalker.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. Jo was married to rocker Ronnie for 24 years between 1985-2011 and the two share children Leah, 46, and Tyrone, 41. She also became stepmother to Ronnie's son Jesse, 48, from his first marriage. She is also mum to another son, Jamie, 50, from her first marriage to clothing entrepreneur Peter Greene. Jo recently revealed the hilarious nickname given to her by her grandchildren as she admitted they know all about her wild drug-taking rock and roll past. The former wife of The Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood was known for embracing the party lifestyle in her younger days. And the star admitted her grandchildren are now calling her 'Gangsta Granny' after she revealed some of her past antics to them. Speaking on Good Housekeeping UK's podcast My Life in A Biscuit Tin, Jo said: 'I know I shouldn't say this, but I was in the car with them and they were giggling, two of them [grandchildren, Maggie and Kobe]. 'They went, "Gran, have you done any drugs?" I said, "Of course I have, but I don't recommend it". 'I said, "Because it didn't get me anywhere except lots of sleepless nights". Explaining how she believes it is important to be honest with your family she added: 'You can't be dishonest, because they'll find out. 'So, I tried to warn them it was a waste of time, but I was in a very special situation. So then they said, "We're going to call you Gangster Gran from now on."' She has 10 grandchildren in total, four from Jamie, two from Leah and four from Jesse. Last year Jo revealed she had left her wild nights of partying behind for an eco-friendly countryside cottage. The TV personality moved to the old farmhouse in 2019 and has embraced 'off-grid' living, generating her own electricity and nurturing her own vegetable patch. Aside from WiFi, she more or less lives self-sufficiently and has traded in her days of drinking and joints for homegrown veg and is even creating a capsule supplement called Longevity to boost her health.

Dewey Dex delights Geraldton kids as Premier's Reading Challenge returns with fun, books and prizes
WA's one-eyed purple alien is back in Geraldton for another challenge, encouraging kids to read and log more books, with prize incentives and even a special performance. Students at Geraldton Primary School were treated to a special guest performance by Dewey Dex — the interglactic reading alien — and his friends on Wednesday for the Premier's Reading Challenge. Established in 2022, the annual challenge is designed to make reading exciting and encourage WA students from kindergarten to Year 12 to explore the joy of reading. From the squeals and shrieks of excitement, it seemed Dewey had done just that, as he danced across the Geraldton Primary School auditorium, solving riddles and teaching children about the power of reading. Principal Jade Fallon welcomed the initiative as a positive way to encourage students to read. 'All students at our school read each night through our home reading program with individual and class incentives,' she said. 'We are a reading rich school. We understand the many benefits of reading, including knowledge and vocabulary building, oral language and writing development, as well as the impact on developing attention span.' Year 5 student Toby Armitage, Year 4 student Jaxon Pember and Year 1 student Cayden Dela Cruz spoke with excitement about their favourite novels and how reading helps them. Toby said he loves David Walliams' Gangsta Granny, while Jaxon has been enjoying Zombie Season by Justin Weinberger. Cayden said he was currently reading a book about the native Australian bowerbird, and so far this year he has read over 33 books. When asked what his favourite thing about reading was, Jaxon said: 'I like what I'm thinking about, like where the characters are in the story and thinking about the book in my head.' The Premier's Reading Challenge runs for 12 weeks from April 7 to June 27. To complete the challenge, students from kindergarten to Year 10 must read 12 or more books, while busy senior students in Years 11 and 12 must finish six or more books. This is the first year the challenge has opened up to high school students.
