'Love And War': Sanjay Leela Bhansali to film intense Ranbir Kapoor-Vicky Kaushal face-off
Sanjay Leela Bhansali directs 'Love And War' with Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Vicky Kaushal. Filming began in November, with half completed. Since filming began in November last year, about half the movie has been shot. The director is preparing to shoot the film's most intense sequences starting August 2025. Preparing for the Epic Face-Off A report in Pinkvilla stated that Bhansali will be shooting for some epic face-offs between Ranbir and Vicky from August 2025. His team is presently working to put up an elaborate set to can these larger-than-life confrontation sequences between two of the best actors of modern generation. SLB has spent a long time on paper to conceptualize and design these high-on-drama dialogue-heavy sequences ft. RK and Vicky. Around 100 days of shoot for 'Love And War' is already completed, and 90 days are yet remaining. Sanjay is looking to call it a wrap on 'Love And War' by the end of 2025. While a large chunk of the shoot will be done at multiple studios in Mumbai, the team also has an outdoor leg planned post October in Europe. SLB was just on a recce for the same in Rome. Mumbai: In a startling case of alleged financial fraud, Vedika Prakash Shetty, the former personal assistant of Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt, has been arrested by Juhu Police on charges of siphoning off over ₹ 76 lakh from Bhatt's accounts and her production company, Eternal Sunshine Productions Pvt. Ltd. Alia Bhatt, Eternal Sunshine Productions, or the Gangubai actor's team has not issued any statement regarding the matter as of now Alia Bhatt's former PA, Vedika Prakash Shetty allegedly embezzled ₹ 76,90,892 between 2023 and 2025, drawing funds both from Alia Bhatt's personal accounts and those belonging to her production house Eternal Sunhine. The fraudulent activity by Vedika Prakash Shetty reportedly involved forged signatures and unauthorised transfers over an extended period. The case came to light when Soni Razdan, Alia Bhatt's mother and a well-known actor herself, filed a complaint in February 2025, citing financial irregularities. An FIR was registered, and investigations were initiated by the Juhu Police. A team from Mumbai Police tracked Vedika Prakash Shetty down to Bengaluru, where she was taken into custody, Hindustan Times reported. Authorities are now examining her bank records and financial transactions to determine the full extent of the alleged fraud. Launched by Alia Bhatt in 2021, Eternal Sunshine Productions was established with the vision of producing "happy films" — warm, heartfelt stories with universal appeal. The company made its debut with the film Darlings, co-produced with Shah Rukh Khan's Red Chillies Entertainment. Starring Alia Bhatt, Vijay Varma, and Shefali Shah, the film premiered on Netflix to critical and audience acclaim. Eternal Sunshine has since positioned itself as a boutique production house focused on real, timeless narratives with emotional depth. Vedika Prakash Shetty had been employed as Alia Bhatt's personal assistant for over two years, until her association ended in 2024, HT reported. Vedika Prakash Shetty's responsibilities included managing Bollywood actor Alia Bhatt's day-to-day affairs, overseeing business transactions, and handling the internal operations of Eternal Sunshine Productions. Soni Razdan, mother of actress Alia Bhatt, filed a police complaint on January 23, 2025, accusing Alia's former personal assistant, Vedika Prakash Shetty, of financial fraud involving ₹ 76.9 lakh. The fraud occurred between May 2022 and August 2024, during which Vedika allegedly prepared forged bills, got Alia Bhatt to sign them, and siphoned off money from both Alia's personal accounts and her production company, Eternal Sunshine Productions Pvt Ltd. Vedika used sophisticated software to make the fake invoices appear legitimate and routed the stolen funds through an accomplice's account.

Anti-ragging regulations: UGC serves show cause notices to seven varsities in Karnataka
The University Grants Commission (UGC) has served show cause notices to seven public and private universities in the State, including the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) and Bengaluru City University, for not implementing the Anti-Ragging Regulations-2009 to prevent ragging on college and university campuses. Apart from IIMB and BCU, public universities including Haveri University, Karnataka Janapada Vishwavidyalaya of Gotagodi, Karnataka State Dr. Gangubai Hangal Music and Performing Arts University of Mysuru, and private universities like Sri Sathya Sai University for Human Excellence of Kalaburagi, and KLE Technological University of Hubballi have failed to implement the rules in the State, as per the commission. The higher education institution and universities have been given 30 days term to implement the anti-ragging regulations, failing which funds being provided for research projects will be withdrawn, in addition to de-recognition or withdrawal of affiliation. 'Ragging in all its forms shall be banned in the entire institution, including its departments, constituent units, all its premises (academic, residential, sports, canteen, etc), whether located within the campus or outside, and in all means of transportation of students, whether public or private. The institution shall take strict action against those found guilty of ragging and/or of abetting ragging,' states the regulation. It is mandatory for all higher education institutions and universities to implement these regulations and submit appropriate documents to the UGC. 'As you are aware, adherence to the UGC Regulation on Ragging, 2009 is mandatory for all Higher Education Institutions. Failure to comply not only violates UGC guidelines but also compromises student safety, particularly in light of increasing concerns about ragging-related distress and campus hostility,' the UGC has said in the notice. Further, the UGC directed the institutions to submit the anti-ragging compliance and get online undertakings from all students within 30 days from the date of notice. The IIMB, in its response to the notice, told The Hindu that the institution has no tolerance for ragging of any kind. 'IIMB has an anti-ragging cell in place. All students are required to submit a declaration that they will not indulge in ragging. All students get several reminders not to indulge in any ragging activities from the administration. Precautionary and oversight measures are also in place. We will follow up with the authorities concerned to have our Institute's name removed from this list.'
