Keith David, Bone Thugs, Miley Cyrus lead 2026 Walk of Fame Class
The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has unveiled the Class of 2026 for the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The list is made up of icons who have carved their names into the annals of immortality. An assortment of 35 talents have been drafted to the class of 2026. Among these 35 is veteran actor Keith David, who is a well-known face on screen. Perhaps his supporting roles are his most defining, but his efforts in productions like The Thing and Gargoyles are his most noteworthy. The Emmy Award-winning actor will be joined by another iconic act in the form of Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, who captivated the world with their melodic rap flows and gritty lyricism. In the recording category, pop sensation and child star Miley Cyrus will receive her honours alongside crooner Josh Groban, Angélique Kidjo, and The Clark Sisters. A few newer Hollywood talents have also made the grade. Timothée Chalamet made the grade under the motion picture category. Demi Moore, Rami Malek, Rachel McAdams, and Emily Blunt have also been included, while Deepika Padukone will make history as the first Indian actress to receive a star on the Walk of Fame. The Television category features Chef Gordon Ramsay, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Robin Roberts, and George Stephanopoulos, who will share a double ceremony. Comedy and live performance are also represented, with Gabriel 'Fluffy' Iglesias and Lea Salonga receiving stars in the live theatre/performance category. Arguably the most dominant centre in the history of the National Basketball Association, Big Diesel, better known as Shaquille O'Neal, is to be the only honouree in the sports entertainment category. The list boasts an array of talents that are more than deserving. Keith David for instance was visibly moved when he received the news on his 70th birthday. That's quite a while to wait for a star. On the other end of the spectrum, a relatively new talent to Hollywood, the 29-year-old Timothée Chalamet will also be getting his flowers. Some might view that as puzzling. Timothée Chalamet Emily Blunt Chris Columbus Marion Cotillard Keith David Rami Malek Rachel McAdams Demi Moore Franco Nero Deepika Padukone Molly Ringwald Stanley Tucci Carlo Ramboldi (posthumous) Tony Scott (posthumous) Greg Daniels Sarah Michelle Gellar Lucero Chef Gordon Ramsay Melody Thomas Scott Robin Roberts & George Stephanopoulos (shared star) Bradley Whitford Noah Wyle Air Supply Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Paulinho da Costa The Clark Sisters Miley Cyrus Josh Groban Grupo Intocable Angélique Kidjo Lyle Lovett Lea Salonga Gabriel 'Fluffy' Iglesias This year had a spread of seminal talents like Jessica Chastain, Jane Fonda, Green Day, and a posthumous star for the legendary musician, Prince. Carolina Hurricanes Announce New In-State Affiliation
The Carolina Hurricanes and Greensboro Gargoyles announced a new partnership on May 6, 2025. The Carolina Hurricanes finally have their own ECHL affiliate again. The team announced on Tuesday that they will have a partnership with the Greensboro Gargoyles, the ECHL's newest franchise and one conveniently just down the road from them. 'We're thrilled to affiliate with the Gargoyles and reconnect with our franchise's history in Greensboro,' said Carolina Associate General Manager Darren Yorke. 'We look forward to working closely with the Gargoyles staff to develop players who could someday make an impact here in Raleigh.' The Gargoyles inaugural season will begin this upcoming year and the Canes will more than likely have a few players there given their deep prospect pipeline. The ECHL is a level below the AHL, where the Canes are affiliated with the Chicago Wolves, and is essentially another developmental hockey league. 'We couldn't think of two better teams to help us usher in this inaugural season of Gargoyles Hockey to the City of Greensboro,' said Zawyer Sports & Entertainment (the team's ownership group) CEO Andy Kaufmann in a press release. 'With the proximity and an abundance of local support for the Hurricanes, along with a successful AHL club in the Chicago Wolves, this partnership makes perfect sense. We look forward to working with both teams to develop players and bring a winning culture here to Greensboro.'
