Dhamar: Oil, Gas companies host cultural event commemorating Prophet's migration
Dhamar - Saba: The branches of the Oil and Gas Companies in Dhamar governorate on Monday organized a cultural event commemorating the Prophet's noble migration (Hijra). During the event, Dhamar undersecretary Mohammed Abdulrazzaq emphasized the anniversary's significance as a pivotal moment in establishing the Islamic state. Abdulrazzaq highlighted the virtues of the Prophet's migration and the role of Yemenis in this foundational event for Islamic history. He also reviewed lessons from the Hijra that the nation's people should recall and apply in their practical lives, particularly concerning the struggle against enemies. Director of the Oil Company branch Engineer Abdullah al-Ashbat discussed the implications of commemorating the Prophet's migration. He stressed the importance of drawing lessons from it to advance the nation and confront aggressive schemes targeting it. Al-Ashbat noted the significance of the Great Prophet's migration, which marked a decisive turning point in human history and the beginning of the Islamic state, founded on noble values and principles. Cultural speaker Nasr al-Dhulaimi present at the event alongside Engineer Nabil al-Mutawakil, Director of the Gas Company branch, and his deputy Nasr al-Din al-Harouji, spoke about the motives and accompanying miracles of the blessed Prophet's migration. He affirmed the importance of commemorating this great anniversary and the Yemeni people's deep connection to it, highlighting the Prophet's sacrifices, his patience in delivering the message, the challenges he faced from Quraysh infidels, and the crucial support from Aws and Khazraj tribes. Oman: National Gas acquires 80% stake in Samahram Gas
Muscat – National Gas Company, Oman's leading liquified petroleum gas (LPG) marketing firm, has announced the successful acquisition of an 80% stake in S amahram Gas Company, which is a key player in the refilling and distribution of LPG in the Dhofar Governorate. In a disclosure to the M u scat Stock Exchange, National Gas confirmed that the transaction was finalised on J une 4, 2025, following all regulatory approvals and compliance with applicable laws. 'This strategic acquisition aligns with our long-term growth objectives and is expected to significantly strengthen our footprint in Oman's LPG market,' National Gas said in its disclosure. The company added that the investment is anticipated to deliver solid returns and contribute positively to both revenue and net income at the group level. 'We remain committed to delivering value to our shareholders through strategic investments and market expansion initiatives,' the company noted. Samahram Gas has established itself as a significant operator in southern Oman, and the deal is seen as part of National Gas's broader strategy to consolidate its presence in the domestic LPG sector. Samahram Gas' core business are LPG filling cylinders, LPG central gas system installation, operations and LPG bulk supply. Funeral of Martyr Mohammed Omar Baghawi Held in Al-Hodeidah
Al-Hodeidah - SABA: The funeral of martyr Mohammed Omar Baghawi, an employee of the Gas Company, was held today in the city of Al-Hodeidah. He was martyred in the Zionist aggression targeting the oil facility at Ras Issa Port. The funeral was attended by the Deputy Governor of Al-Hodeidah, Mohammed Halaisi, the head of the General Union of the Oil Company, and a number of local officials. The mourners condemned the brutal crime committed by the enemy at Ras Issa Port, describing it as part of a systematic campaign and deliberate targeting of Yemen's vital economic infrastructure. They considered the targeting of civilian service facilities, including energy and port infrastructure, a full-fledged war crime that reflects the Zionist enemy's failure and desperation to deter the Yemeni people from supporting the Palestinian cause. Ras Issa martyrs' funeral massacre who worked at gas company held in Al-Hodeida
Hodeida - Saba: The bodies of a number of martyrs working in the Yemeni Gas Company, who killed after the brutal crime committed by the US aggression in the Ras Issa area, which left 80 martyrs and more than 150 injured workers in the oil facility and truck drivers, were buried on Monday in Al-Hodeida . The funeral ceremony took place in front of Al-Asoudi Mosque, after praying for the bodies of the martyrs, in the presence of an official and popular presence, led by Governor Abdullah Atifi, Acting Executive Director of the Yemen Gas Company Yasser Al-Wahdi, Deputy Governor for City Square Affairs Ali Al-Kabari, local , military leaders and employees of the gas company's branch in the province. He pointed out that Al-Hodeida people stand united in the face of the US aggression, and the leadership of the province will remain loyal to the blood of the martyrs who died while performing their duty in serving the citizens. The Acting Executive Director of the Gas Company considered the targeting of the company's cadres and workers at the Ras Issa port facility a full-fledged war crime against the service sector in Yemen, and reveals the criminal tendency of the enemy, which does not hesitate to hit people's livelihoods and target their sources of life. The mourners expressed their sincere condolences and deep sympathy to the martyrs' families, stressing that the precious blood spilled will not be in vain, but will increase the determination of Yemenis in steadfastness and fortitude until victory is achieved and the aggression forces are held accountable for their crimes.
