Star Plus' popular show Advocate Anjali Awasthi is all set to take a dramatic 20-year leap, ushering in an emotional new chapter for fans. Post-leap, Shritama Mitra will continue in the lead, taking on a challenging double role as both Anjali Awasthi and her daughter Aarti Awasthi. Joining the cast as a parallel lead is Simran Singh, known for her role in Qayamat Se Qayamat.
As reported by Telly Chakkar, Simran Singh has been roped in to play a key role Advocate Anjali Awasthi after the much anticipated leap. A source told the portal that Simran's entry in the show will bring an exciting factor, adding an intriguing twist to the current track of the show.
Ever since its premiere last year, Advocate Anjali Awasthi has been one of the fans' favourite shows, thanks to its compelling narrative. Alongside Shritama Mitra, Ankit Raizada also played the lead role in the show and won hearts with his compelling and bold performance. While Shritama has been retained to play the lead in the show even after the leap, Ankit has reportedly decided to quit for his personal growth and aim to explore new roles.
Meanwhile, Anshul Bammi, who portrays the role of Yuvraj Thakur, has also decided to exit the show. While talking to Times Of India, the actor revealed the reason behind his decision, saying, 'I would like to clarify that my decision to step away from the show is not related to the age of the character. I have no hesitation in portraying a character older than my actual age. However, with the recent leap in the storyline, I believe the focus of the show will now shift more towards the new cast."
It needs to be noted that Advocate Anjali Awasthi is inspired by the Bengali hit Geeta LLB. The Hindi adaptation of the show has garnered impressive TRP ratings, even securing its place in the top 5 spots in the charts. The show, produced by Blues Productions, follows a fearless and resolute woman who fights against all odds and powerful foes in her relentless pursuit of justice.
