The Director of the Examinations and Testing Department at the Ministry of Education, Mohammad Shehadeh, confirmed that the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) for the year 2025 officially began on Thursday, with an unprecedented number of students participating. This year's exams mark a milestone, as they are the final round following the old system for students born in 2007. Students born in 2008 will be tested under a new system, though the question format will remain similar to previous years. Regarding grading, Shehadeh explained that over 9,000 teachers have been assigned to handle the correction process. Results are expected to be announced in the first third of August, approximately 20 to 30 days after the final exam session.

Tawjihi exams to proceed on June 26 despite holiday: Education Ministry
Jordan's Ministry of Education confirmed Tuesday that there will be no change to the date of the General Secondary Education Certificate Examination (Tawjihi) scheduled for Thursday, June 26, despite the official public holiday for the Islamic New Year. In a statement, the ministry said the exam will take place as planned, noting that a similar situation occurred during last summer's session, when an exam coincided with the Hijri New Year holiday and was held as scheduled. It also pointed out that school exams have previously been held on Saturdays, which are regular days off. The clarification comes after Prime Minister Jaafar Hassan issued an official circular declaring Thursday, June 26 — corresponding to the first of Muharram, 1447 Hijri — a public holiday. The decision covers all ministries, public institutions, state universities, municipalities, and government-owned companies.
