UAE: Mother of the Nation donates Dh172-million tower to healthcare campaign

Mother of the Nation Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak has donated a Dh172-million tower to the Life Endowment Campaign which supports people with chronic diseases in the UAE. Launched on May 19, the campaign aims to enhance the sustainability of healthcare services and cover treatment costs for the most vulnerable segments of society. It aims to collect contributions to establish an endowment whose investments will cover treatment expenses for chronic disease patients in need and provide essential medications and mental health support. The generous donation from Sheikha Fatima will also involves renaming the Dh172-million Deena Tower—located on Abu Dhabi's Khalifa Bin Zayed The First Street—to 'Life Tower', in honour of the healthcare drive. 'Healthcare is a fundamental human right that must be accessible to everyone. The Life Endowment embodies this right through compassion and solidarity," said Sheikh Fatima who is also Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood and Supreme Chairperson of the Family Development Foundation (FDF). "Our support for this endowment reflects the role of Emirati women in fostering a culture of giving and building a cohesive society that prioritises the well-being of its most vulnerable members. Join us in this noble mission." During the first week since its launch, the Life Endowment campaign managed to raise Dh115 million from 33,000 contributors, it said.
