Saturday Kitchen descends into chaos as guest asks 'did you forget to cook them'

Saturday Kitchen descended into chaos as host Matt Tebbutt attempted to make Vicky Pattison's food heaven Saturday Kitchen guest Angela Scanlon had a cheeky question for host Matt Tebbutt on the latest episode. During Saturday's instalment, Angela, 41, and Vicky Pattison were on the show to talk about their new podcast Get A Grip. ‌ Usually on Saturday Kitchen, guests are either served food heaven or food hell depending on the public's vote. ‌ However, because Angela and Vicky, 37, were both on the show, Matt, 51, revealed that only one of them would be served food heaven and they had to compete in a game. The duo were tasked with throwing as many velcro balls as they could at Matt's head with Vicky winning the game and therefore securing her food heaven. Matt revealed he was going to be making a crustless cheese quiche, where he said: "It was a bit of a quandary because you're trying to eat less meat, you like chicken but don't want to eat cows because they're like puppies in a field. "You like potatoes, cheese, shallots, but then you say you don't like vegetables because they're a bit silly. So imagine my dilemma when trying to come up with a dish!" As Matt started creating the dish, Angela spotted an instant issue as she said: "Are those tomatoes just for show? Vicky doesn't like tomatoes!" ‌ However, Vicky insisted: "Whack them on!" as they're a "crowd pleaser" adding that she's used to picking them off. As Matt got stuck in, Vicky and Angela loudly spoke about the dish to which Matt joked: "We can hear you over here!" to which they insisted: "Sorry, it looks really good!" When it was time to dish the creation, Angela teased: "Oh, just cold tomatoes on there? Interesting!" as Matt quipped back: "Alright, hang on!" ‌ He then chopped up some shallots with rocket to which Angela asked of the shallots: "Are they supposed to be cooked, did you forget to cook them?" to which a laughing Matt insisted for his fellow guests to keep Angela and Vicky busy. Angela then declared: "We'll have them raw, don't worry!" to which Matt insisted: "You are going to have them raw, don't worry!", adding: "What a morning!" After serving Vicky the dish, which she declared was "so good", an exhausted and flustered Matt joked: "I need a glass of wine!" As well as Vicky and Angela, Matt was joined by chefs Owen Morgan and Avi Shashidhara, Helen McGinn and Jane Dunn.

Vicky Pattison's Gogglebox challenges amid 'chaotic' bond with Pete Wicks

Vicky Pattison has revealed that she faced a behind-the-scenes struggle on Celebrity Gogglebox when she opened up about her "chaotic" relationship with Pete Wicks. Vicky Pattison has opened up about her "chaotic" experiences on Celebrity Gogglebox alongside her longtime friend Pete Wicks. Discussing the matter on the Get A Grip podcast, the Geordie Shore star shared insights from their recent appearance on the Channel 4 show with co-host Angela Scanlon. Having joined a list of celebrities such as Mel B and Jamie Theakston who have graced the reality series, Vicky talked about her voyage on Gogglebox with Pete Wicks, a friendship spanning over 15 years. ‌ The pair managed to bag themselves four episodes on Gogglebox this year, with Vicky announcing that they have wrapped up filming. ‌ She humorously remarked on the challenges posed by the scorching weather they faced while recording: "God knows how, but yeah, we're done. It's in the bag. Last one is this week so make sure you tune in. I can't promise any feminist rants. I was sweating me t**s off." She went on to describe with frankness the conditions at home during the shoot: "It was 40 degrees in my front room trying to do that the other day, and obviously, with the heatwave we've been having this week, it's been f*****g savage. Yeah, literally swamp gusset galore." In fits of laughter, Angela shared an anecdote where the term "full swamp gusset weather" was used by "one of the mums at the school", which resonated with Vicky's own struggle with the heatwave. Angela revealed that the mum picked up the saying from Vicky, who regretted wearing grey. Vicky then delved into her dynamic with fellow star Pete. She explained that their 15-year friendship had been "very fast", detailing how they'd, for example, "grab a drink" after filming or "pop" in somewhere after a meeting. ‌ Vicky recounted: "'Like, should we have a meal? Should we have a wild night out?' Like, especially in the early days, it was all a bit chaotic. We've never watched TV together." This comes amid feedback from some Gogglebox viewers dissatisfied with the new series, which features BBC Radio 2's well-liked Paddy McGuinness and Vernon Kay. ‌ The celebrity edition presented programmes such as 'Celebrity Bridge of Lies', 'Silence Is Golden', 'Big Zuu and AJ Tracey's Rich Flavours', ' Race Across the World ', and 'Faking It'. However, viewer reactions varied, as some openly critiqued the celebrity aspect, with comments like: "Not the dreaded celebrities again, so many of them are so annoying #Celebritygogglebox." Another chimed in: "We watch normal #Gogglebox because it's hilarious and we love all the families. #celebritygogglebox is not funny and we couldn't care less about the celebs. It's just people watching telly." Meanwhile, one viewer enthused over the series and expressing eagerness to see the Eubanks on screen, dubbing them "TV gold".

Vicky Pattison says 'I'm not proud of it' as she opens up on 'turning point'

Vicky Pattison has been open about her battle with vaping - admitting that she had been trying to quit the habit but 'it all unravelled' after she had a tough week Vicky Pattison, the ex-Geordie Shore star turned podcaster, has candidly shared an update on her struggle with vaping with her fans. On her Get A Grip podcast, the former queen of the jungle confessed to co-host Angela Scanlon that she's picked up the e-cigarette habit again. She explained: "Giving up things is really hard. I can't remember the specific turning point. Last week... it's always emotions with me. Like, I know I'm doing that... I'm craving relaxation. ‌ "In a world where I can't cultivate it naturally because my schedule's a bit unrelenting, I'm doing it synthetically. I think I will give it up at some point, I am really trying." ‌ She admitted to a setback in her efforts: "I was about five, six days in, but then it all unravelled. So I'm back vaping. I'm not proud of it, but it's who I am. I am a vapist!" At 37, Vicky isn't alone in her vaping woes; other celebs like Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway and musician Matt Willis have also opened up about their own struggles last year, according to Chronicle Live. Garraway revealed her own vaping journey, stating she had stopped before her stint on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! — only to find herself hooked once more. On Good Morning Britain, she shared: "The last thing I want to do is in any way sanction [vaping], because I don't now. But my experience was, after Billy was born, I did smoke before and I was craving going back to smoking [but] didn't want to. "I thought it was amazing, because it didn't smell, at that point you could do it anywhere, it must have been like smoking in the 70s — you didn't have to stand outside. Everybody said it was better for you, and I did feel much better. I got the nicotine hit." However, after her stint in the jungle, she confessed that she fell back into vaping — a habit reignited by a segment on Good Morning Britain. ‌ Kate said: "I think we had some props in here or something ridiculous, and I picked it up and I was instantly addicted — like, beyond anything! I couldn't believe it, and it made me realise how particularly those disposable ones are so addictive." In a similar struggle, Matt Willis opened up about his own issues with vaping during an appearance on the On The Mend podcast, where he recounted a telling-off he received from a pal during a round of golf for being covert about his habit — notably from his wife, Emma. Matt detailed the encounter, saying: "I try to live a very honest life. For instance, I was recently playing golf with a mate of mine, and he's in recovery, and I was vaping on the golf course, and he was like: 'Does your wife know you do that?'" ‌ He shared his response: "I was like, 'No, I only do it when I'm at golf and I do it when I'm with the band, so I don't do it at home or around the family.' So he was like, 'You lie about it.' I was like, 'I don't lie about it, I just don't talk about it.' He was like, 'So you're holding something from people, you're keeping a secret.'" Matt candidly opened up about his vaping habit, confessing that he'd often sneak in puffs both during the day and at peculiar hours of the night. He detailed: "Before I knew it, I was doing three to four a day of these disposable vapes. I was even doing it on stage. I was walking to the back of the stage and vaping, thinking no one could see me." He added: "I'd wake up in the middle of the night and go for a wee and vape in the toilet in my hotel room on my own and then go try and get back to sleep." Remember to tune into Channel 4's Sunday Brunch featuring Vicky Pattison, which kicks off at 10am today (June 22).

Vicky Pattison slams Meghan Markle's 'cringe' move as Duchess 'gave her the ick'

Former Queen of the Jungle Vicky Pattison has revealed that one moment in Meghan Markle's Netflix series, involving a Hollywood star, made her 'get the ick' 'I'm A Celebrity' alum Vicky Pattison expressed her disgust about Meghan Markle 's controversial moment on her Netflix show. In a candid chat with co-host Angela Scanlon during their 'Get A Grip' podcast, they delved into the life of the Duchess of Sussex. ‌ Vicky couldn't hide her disappointment when recounting how Meghan, in her 'With Love, Meghan' series, told off Mindy Kaling for calling her by her maiden name, instead of Sussex. ‌ On the moment, Vicky said: "When Meghan corrected Mindy Kaling. And I like that Mindy, I think she's alright. "So I was like, 'Oh'. There's no way I'm slapping my pal's wrist on my Netflix series just for something like that. I really got the ick." Still, Vicky admitted that initially, she was rooting for Meghan and Prince Harry's decision to distance themselves from Royal duties. She reflected: "Harry's obviously unhappy in his role in the Royal Family. If he wants to take a step back.." She added praise for the Prince's independent streak, she explained: "He's always been a bit rebellious, a bit rogue. I was actually all for them retreating off into the distance, bringing up their gorgeous little kids, being really happy." ‌ However, Vicky questioned the couple's judgment following the release of footage depicting the couple twerking in the delivery room on Princess Lillibet's fourth birthday, saying it probably didn't do them any favours. She summarised: "Ultimately, the general consensus is that it's a bag of cringe on toast." Vicky's comments come just days after she discussed the effect of PMDD (pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder) on her relationship with her partner Ercan Ramadan. ‌ In a candid chat with Elizabeth Day for the How To Fail podcast, Vicky delved into how the illness impacts her everyday life. Expressing her anguish, she said: "It absolutely kills me that for a quarter of our life, I am not the person that he fell in love with, and not the person that he thought he was marrying. "Because that is the reality, I'm not myself. I'm not recognisable at all. I could be screaming one second and sobbing the next, then completely disassociating, unable to be social, lost, afraid, whatever it is – however it's manifesting itself that week." ‌ Explaining the emotional burden it places on their relationship, she added: "He's had to learn to love that version of me as well. And that is really difficult. And that is not something I would ask of me worst enemy, let alone the man I love more than anything else in the world." Vicky also expressed immense pride in how Ercan has adapted to her struggles with PMDD, highlighting his reaction as a genuine reflection of his character. She added: "It is a true testament to him and his character that he's learned to understand it because not every man does. I found the one thing that helps is communication. "So saying to him [...] I'm coming into PMDD week. And he goes, 'That's okay. Like, we'll just take it slow'." Vicky and Ercan tied the knot back in August 2024, around five years since their path first crossed through mutual friends in 2019.

Vicky Pattison left with anxiety, insomnia and dark thoughts in scary ordeal

Vicky Pattison has revealed she dealt with 'crippling anxiety, insomnia and dark thoughts' as she suffered a premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) episode recently Vicky Pattison has candidly opened up on the terrifying feelings she felt during her latest premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) episode. The former Geordie Shore star, 37, has regularly shared her condition with her followers in a bid to help others in her situation. And now the reality TV star has confessed to just how bad things got recently, explaining the "crippling anxiety, insomnia and dark thoughts" she dealt with. In a tearful update on Instagram, Vicky shared a clip of herself explaining how the condition is affecting her. ‌ In the clip, Vicky also showed how her stomach bloats during the painful moments. She also showed herself eating, attending work projects and laughing before walking her dog and showing a billboard for her Get A Grip podcast. ‌ The reel also showed her wedding day in a mix of emotions. Vicky captioned the upload: "The highs & lows of PMDD. It's always a bit of a mixed bag with my PMDD- some months aren't so bad & I feel hopeful. "And other months it just completely takes me out & I feel hopeless. Usually there's no real rhyme or reason. But last month I knew I was in for abit of a rough ride- I hadn't done anything that I know helps alleviate my symptoms." She went on: "I hadn't been consistent with my supplements, my diet was atrocious & my schedule was just unrelenting so I went into my luteal phase not really standing a chance. But despite my concerns, nothing could have prepared me." Vicky called the incident "terrifying", revealing she rang her sister in a desperate attempt as she didn't know what she was going to do. She told her how she also didn't know what she was capable of. ‌ The Geordie continued: "And after a week of crippling anxiety, insomnia, my inner critic finding fault at every turn & dark thoughts.. I know I meant it. And that's the thing with PMDD, one week you're this bright, shiny, brilliant woman who is strong, smart & ready for anything life throws at you.. & then your PMDD fog sets in and your brain convinces you that you're worthless, that everyone hates you & the world would be a better place without you in it. "Every month I lose myself & descend further & further into this self loathing state & this month almost got the better of me." She confessed she isn't looking for sympathy by sharing her story, but is talking out as she knows she is not alone. "Supposedly 1 in 20 women are dealing with PMDD, but due to medical misogyny, lack of awareness & misdiagnosis- I believe that number to be a lot higher. ‌ "Which means that there are thousands, if not millions of women suffering in silence or being ignored or gaslit into believing these things are normal. They aren't. You have a condition. A hormonal disorder & these thoughts are not a reflection of your actual value." She urged anyone dealing with the condition to know they are not alone as she candidly told them the world "is better for having you in it". In her defiant message, she signed off: "You are a warrior.. you are powerful & you are UNSTOPPABLE." Her honest words were met with an influx of praise in the comments section. Among those sending well wishes was Celebs Go Dating expert Anna Williamson. She wrote: "So beautifully articulated @vickypattison," alongside a clapping hands emoji and a red love heart. Angela Scanlon also gushed: "Love you very much." Una Healy was also among the thousands hitting the like button on the post.
