Extra investment puts ‘serious pressure' on Coleraine and Glentoran, says Linfield boss David Healy
Linfield manager David Healy has insisted that there will be 'serious pressure' on Glentoran and Coleraine to have successful seasons due to their 'huge investment' declaring that the Bannsiders should be favourites to win the league title. Healy's attention grabbing comments ahead of the new 2025/26 Premiership campaign, which starts next week, came during a Wednesday morning press conference to look ahead to Thursday night's UEFA Conference League second qualifying round, return leg at home to Lithuanian side FK Zalgiris.

Glens add keeper Urminsky on loan
Glentoran have signed Slovakian goalkeeper Peter Urminsky on a season-long loan deal from St 26-year-old arrives at the Oval after the east Belfast side's first-choice from last season, Daniel Gyollai, moved back to his native Hungary this started out with Slovakian club Spartak Trnava and has also represented his country at under-19 level. He joined the Buddies in January 2020 and has since had loan spells with Ayr United and Paisley, he was a team-mate of former Glentoran winger Conor McMenamin."It's a brilliant opportunity to fight for first-team football in a highly competitive league and to do it at one of the biggest clubs in the country," Urminsky said of the move."I had a great conversation with Conor McMenamin, who spoke so highly of the club, the people and the supporters. He told me that if you show desire and play for the badge, the fans will back you all the way and that if you help bring success to Glentoran, they'll never forget it."Urminsky is the fifth addition to Declan Devine's squad this summer, joining Liam Burt, Jordan Stewart Pat Hoban and Daniel season's County Antrim Shield winners begin their Irish Premiership campaign away to Portadown on 9 August.

First set of 2025-26 Premiership streams revealed
Details of the first six Irish Premiership matches of the upcoming 2025-26 season that will be streamed live on the BBC iPlayer and BBC Sport website have been of the new season begins on the opening night on Friday 8 August as Coleraine host Larne at the Showgrounds, with kick-off at 19:45 BST. The second streamed game from the opening weekend sees newly-promoted Bangor welcome Cliftonville to Clandeboye on Sunday 10 August (15:00 BST).
