Taiwanese Actor Chen Bo-lin To Tie The Knot With Singer Chen Ting-Hsuan?
Arguably, marriage is the highest level a relationship can reach — a formal commitment to a shared future. And on the 9th July (Wednesday), it was revealed that beloved actor Chen Bo-lin (陳柏霖) had recently been looking for restaurants that hold weddings overseas. After 13 years of dating former Popu Lady member Chen Ting-Hsuan (陈庭萱), rumours now suggest the ceremony will take place in New Zealand. Reportedly, Chen was impressed by the country during a previous variety show visit. With no set budget, the wedding will likely remain private, with around 30 guests closely connected to the couple. Chen Bo-lin, also known as Wilson Chen, is a highly regarded actor in East Asian countries. He gained recognition for roles in 'Blue Gate Crossing', 'Buddha Mountain', 'In Time with You', and many more. The first rumours of the Golden Awards winner dating Ting-Hsuan started back in 2012, after paparazzi spotted the actress entering his house following work. Singer Chen Ting-Hsuan was originally part of the popular Taiwanese group Popu Lady before their disbandment in 2020. Although they didn't reach continental popularity, their debut EP 'Keep Keep Loving' quickly hit 10 best-selling charts. This success clearly showcased their strong fan base in their country. However, she has since been inactive in the entertainment industry. When the actor's manager was interviewed, he neither confirmed nor denied the claims. Instead, he said that any good news would be shared with the press. 'Thank you for your good wishes. We will let you know when we have any good news.' His careful response has left fans eagerly awaiting an official announcement. Presumably, Chen Bo-lin planned a special proposal trip for his girlfriend to Queenstown, the iconic filming location of the 'Lord of the Rings' trilogy. If this wedding is confirmed, it will likely take place toward the end of the year, giving everyone a joyful event to look forward to. Midvaal SoMA highlights progress, challenges
MIDVAAL – The 2025 State of the Municipality Address (SoMA) delivered by Executive Mayor Peter Teixeira, under the theme 'Midvaal is home' painted a picture of progress, perseverance, and future ambitions as the municipality approaches the final year of its five-year term. During his delivery, the mayor emphasised the municipality's unwavering commitment to excellence, despite the economic and infrastructure challenges it continues to face. Teixeira beamed with pride as he noted Midvaal's 11th consecutive clean audit, a debt-free record with Eskom and Rand Water, and the numerous accolades received in 2024, including three Golden Awards from and five South African Local Government Association (SALGA) Awards. These achievements highlight culture of good governance and accountability. Despite declining revenue collection and infrastructure challenges, Midvaal has remained committed to community engagement through initiatives such as the Youth Summit, walking with the mayor, and social upliftment programmes including the Spread the Love campaign. The municipality also supports vulnerable residents via social relief packages and property rate rebates. Teixeira stated that public safety remains top priority, with millions invested in surveillance and community policing. 'The Fire Services team reached over 13 000 residents through outreach and safety programs and added a 12 000l tanker to its fleet. The Traffic Department introduced tech-driven law enforcement tools and collaborated with SAPS on crime prevention.' In Midvaal, Infrastructure upgrades continue, with R44 million allocated to roads and stormwater reiterated that major focus for MLM has been economic development, with the formation of the Midvaal Investment and Business Retention Committee. According to Teixeira, notable projects include the R370 million River Stone Mall and the R2 billion Heineken-Soufflet expansion. Victor Antezana, Director of Xportes International hailed Midvaal as an investment hub because of its growth potential. 'Midvaal has the same characteristics as Cape Town which has a booming property market.' He said that he invested his hard-earned money in this municipality which is at the beginning of a growth cycle. He predicted that the municipality is about to have explosive growth. Citing this as the reason for investing his hard-earned money in the municipality. Antezana further said that he was happy that Midvaal is not amongst the municipality's that are said to be crumbling in South Africa. He congratulated the MLM for its continued excellence. African-Asian Union names Luxor ‘First World Capital of Culture, History and Heritage'
The African-Asian Union (AFASU) has named Luxor city as the 'First World Capital of Culture, History and Heritage'. The award came after the final selection and competition with Kyoto, Japan, where Luxor city won unanimously by the Supreme International Committee of AFASU Golden Awards, which consists of 42 members and representatives from all international and global institutions. This award comes in recognition of Luxor's global status as an icon of culture and civilization. The President of AFASU Hossam Mohamed Darwish explained that this award is one of the leading awards presented by the union to honor cities that have an exceptional historical and cultural legacy. The award is given to the city has distinguished its efforts in preserving heritage, developing culture and promoting sustainable tourism. Luxor Governor Abdel-Mottaleb Emara expressed his pride at Luxor receiving this award, stressing that the great cultural heritage of the city requires preservation and continuous development. He pledged to achieve sustainable development in the city, befitting its status as one of the main tourist destinations in the world. The African-Asian Union The AFASU is an international union that aims to enhance cooperation between the African and Asian continents in the fields of tourism, culture, technology, sustainable development and innovation through innovative programs and international initiatives. The union seeks to promote human values and cultural understanding among peoples. The AFASU emerged from the Afro-Asian Peoples' Solidarity Organization (AAPSO), which is the second oldest international popular non-governmental organization in the world. It was established by a decision and international treaty from African and Asian leaders with an idea launched by Presidents Nehru, Tito and Abdel Nasser at the Bandung Conference in Indonesia in 1955.
