Trisha Krishnan donates lifelike mechanical elephant called Gaja, vegan meals to temples in Tamil Nadu
Actor and animal lover Trisha Krishnan donated a lifelike mechanical elephant to Sri Ashtalinga Athisesha Selva Vinayagar and Sri Ashtabhuja Athisesha Varahi Amman temples in Tamil Nadu. On Friday, the temples debuted the elephant named Gaja, and Trisha sponsored a hearty vegan meal for all devotees in attendance. In a statement released by People For Cattle In India (PFCI), Trisha spoke of the reason why she donated Gaja to the temples. She said, 'I'm absolutely thrilled to be part of this beautiful moment. Devotion shines brightest when it's rooted in compassion. Welcoming a mechanical elephant into our temple traditions is a celebration of kindness, innovation, and culture.' She also added, 'We are honouring our heritage in a way that brings no harm, only harmony. This gesture stands as a proud symbol of progress, here faith and empathy walk hand in hand. I hope it inspires many more to embrace a future where love leads our rituals, and no being suffers in the name of tradition.' Vegan meal sponsored by Trisha The PFCI posted pictures and videos of Gaja on X (formerly Twitter), thanking Trisha for making the donation. They wrote, 'Thank you, @trishtrashers for working with us. Gaja signals a new beginning—where real elephants are free, and traditions continue at Sri Ashtalinga Athisesha Selva Vinayagar and Sri Ashtabhuja Athisesha Varahi Amman temples in Tamil Nadu.' They also shared a picture of the meal Trisha had arranged for devotees, along with a sign board that reads, 'Just like our lifelike mechanical elephant promotes kindness to real elephants, vegan food shows respect to animals by leaving them off our plates. There are no meat, dairy, eggs, or other animal products, just delicious plant-based dishes that are better for animals, the planet and our health.' Trisha starred in Vidaamuyarchi, Good Bad Ugly and Thug Life this year. She will soon star in Vishwambhara and Karuppu.

A daring police officer is planning to capture the gang leader, leading the mobster to recall his old henchman out of retirement. How Kaali is forced back into a night's tale of revenge and violence forms the entire narrative. While the movie was an average hit at the box office, it was welcomed with mostly positive reviews. 3. Good Bad Ugly Good Bad Ugly is an action comedy flick focusing on the story of AK, a former gangster notoriously known as The Red Dragon. Atoning for his crimes and in hopes of safeguarding his son's future, the man completes a jail sentence of 18 years. However, soon after his release, his son is wrongfully convicted, which leads the gangster to go back to his old ways to rescue him. While the movie was a massive hit in theaters, it was received with mixed reviews, especially for its storytelling. 4. Retro Retro is a Suriya starrer romantic actioner, directed by Karthik Subbaraj. The film focuses on the story of Paari, a violent man used by his adoptive father for the latter's nefarious deals. However, after Paari falls in love with Rukmini, he decides to leave his violent world behind. Although it does not go as planned, leading to a rift between them, the man tries to win her heart once again. How the man manages to reunite with her and his realization of his true destiny form the rest of the movie. 5. Thug Life Cast: Kamal Haasan, Silambarasan TR, Trisha Krishnan, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Abhirami, Ashok Selvan, Joju George Director: Mani Ratnam IMDb Rating: 4.3/10 Runtime: 2 hours and 45 minutes Box Office: Rs 92.75 crore (approx.) Thug Life features the story of a mafia head, Rangaraaya Sakthivel, who adopts a young kid, Amaran, after his biological father died in a shootout. After Sakthivel raises Amaran as his son and makes him a formidable part of the gang, a power shift in dynamics occurs over time. The rivalry that forms between them and the feud it creates narrates the rest of the film. 6. Kuberaa Kuberaa is a social thriller featuring the story of a beggar, Deva, who is forced into a scandal by a former CBI officer. Deva is recruited for a scheme orchestrated by a business tycoon, but he soon realizes his end is near.. How he escapes from them and what he does with the money he was entrusted to smuggle forms the entire film. Which first-half 2025 Tamil film won you over in theaters? Taking to his Instagram handle, Ajith Kumar shared videos in which he is seen coming out of the vanity van and talking to crew members. His look immediately went viral and fans suggested that it is for Adhik Ravichandran's next film, tentatively titled AK 64. Though Ajith hasn't officially announced his next film yet, there's been plenty of buzz around directors like Adhik Ravichandran, Venkat Prabhu, and even talks about Dhanush. He added, 'If I can squeeze in a film between the November to February period, I will then have a film release every year, and I can also focus on my racing program. I will be starting to film a new project in November this year, which will hopefully be released sometime around April or May 2026." What's really cool is Ajith's plan to keep up this balance long term. The superstar wants to keep releasing one film a year while staying dedicated to his racing career, as both a team owner and driver. On the work front, Ajith Kumar was last seen playing the lead in Good Bad Ugly, which hit theaters on April 10, 2025. The film was both written and directed by Adhik Ravichandran.
